*Late noon..
The day passes by slowly for Navi with watching a death duel challenge being the highlight of his day and probably his week.
He isn't sure weather the death duel would get its official approval as he doesn't know the full story and although he's curious, he is also too lazy to ask around for more information.
Sitting on the familiar set of stairs around the underground training site, Navi has his attention on a book in his hands as he practices his leisure hobby since his body is still too strained for practice.
*HUA*..*HUA*..*HUA*..
Shouts of co-ordinated passion accompanied by sharp movements are produced from a new set of students who have just recently started their martial arts routines under the watchful eyes of their Martial masters.
He could ignore the shouts but the smell of dirt and sweat coming from the surrounding is getting a bit too much to bear for Navi who is looking for nothing more but relaxation.
A harsh breath blows out of his Nostrils in annoyance as he takes his gaze off the book and faces it at the setting sun in the horizon.
Beautiful..
It's even far more beautiful when he used to watch its brilliance with his mother. Subconsciously, his fingers moves to massage his teardrop pendant as he swallows his saliva down his suddenly dry throat.
Forcefully trying to snap out of the waves of sadness forming over his mind, Navi stands up before patting his clothes clean. He suddenly didn't feel like staying outside or examining the beauty of the noon anymore.
With calm but heavy steps, he maps his way back to the building that holds his quarters. Firstly, he goes to the bathroom as he is not planning on going back out tonight.
The cold running water rolls off his skin as he stares at his blurry reflection in the mirror. He just couldn't help but get dark flashes of that kid in his memory-like dreams as he ruthlessly slayed and slashed-down his way through over thirty armed men.
The child in his dreams had ink black hair just like his own and their facial features were almost identical to his own at ten years old but yet, there is one feature from the kid that stands clearly apart from his own,..
His eyes.
Navi sweeps his palm across the steamy glass as he looks at his reflection only for his expression to change from calm to shock and a bit of uncontrolled fear.
Looking right back at him is his own reflection but instead of his usual layered orange eyes, his reflection that is staring back at him holds a pair of beautiful cold purple eyes!.
Just like the version of himself in his dreams but only this time, it is reality.
Navi shakes his head fast and blinks before looking at the mirror once more with his breathing faster than normal and tension in his fingers.
*Sigh*, A deep sigh of pure and shaky relief soon escapes Navi's throat as his tense mind hits relief. The reflection of himself in the mirror no longer has purple eyes but has returned to his own orange eyes making him instantly believe that its nothing but his mind playing tricks.
It's seems the stress has gotten to him while making him see things for a second but now, he has snapped out of his daze.
No matter how mature he is or acts he's still a twelve year old who just lost his mother recently. Adding this up with his sleepless nights and the trauma from his dreams cracks seems to be slowly starting to appear on his mental state.
Navi hits the tap to stop the running water as he keeps looking at himself in the mirror. He is smart enough to know that he couldn't tell anyone about the things going on with him but he also knows that he needs an outlet for his stress build up.
Something explosive!.
With this thought in mind, Navi dresses up in loose blue robes and moves through the buildings hallway till he's in front of his quarters door.
About to open the door, Navi's brows suddenly crunches up for an unknown reason. Something is off.
He has no idea why but he can just feel that something is off in his quarters. Not hesitating any further, Navi swiftly pulls open the door and steps inside the familiar space.
Everything is as usual with the bunk bed by the walls and their individual cabinets each at the corners of the room. The only notable change which isn't much of a change is that one of his room mates is currently sleeping on a bunk bed with the back of his right palm over his eyes.
Navi takes it all in with silence before moving to open up his cabinet. Just as he thought, someone that isn't him has picked open his padlocks and have been in his cabinets.
The person did quite a good job covering it up but with the type of Memory Navi has, there's no such thing as a perfect job.
He didn't even need to go through his stuff in order to guess what they have been looking for. Whoever it was were out for money,.. his money.
Navi still has wealth of about Fifty-five pints left and this comes from the rest his mother's severance pay. He would be a utter fool to have kept this amount in a cabinet.
The rest of his money was safely buried in his house at a location no thief can casually guess leaving him with just about three pints to sustain himself till his first holiday break which is coming in two months.
Despite losing nothing, Navi didn't like the fact that someone had the guts to go through his things but he's also smart enough to avoid pointing fingers.
*SLAM*..... *CLICK*..
Navi shuts his cabinet and clicks the padlock shut before using the bed ladder to his top bunk with plans of rest.
Little does he know that all the casual harmless events that have happened one after the other today would snowball into something.. Explosive.
