[Nar point of view]
The ground shook. The sky fills with the thunderous roar of the wyvern. Giant war elephants marching in, their elements the earth. Size comparable to a behemoth, only weaker, yet no one dares to underestimate it. Soldiers marching behind their prince. It's as if he were in war, he loves to make his appearance known to all. An intimidating tactic, but I'm impressed that he still uses it, while Sas and I once destroyed what he loved so much during the war. Is this his way of telling us that no matter how many times I destroy his ambitions, he will rise again, and in a very short time. If that's what he wanted to say, then Sas and I should just destroy it again. The Empire may be strong, but Sas and I weren't considered heroes for nothing.
I'm sure the citizens are anxious now that their enemies, who once tried to conquer this land, are coming here to speak with Her Highness Queen Amleth.
Greeting them at the front gate would be the false Aeron, replaced by none other than Miss Eisheth. No one, expects some of us know about this. Word from Aeron's unit mentions that a few of the prince's convoy have been sent separately, and surprise, surprise, they are after Diana, and only a few of them are actually from the Aru Clan.
(He must have known that we know of his intention to kidnap Diana) [Sas]
(Agreed. However, I wonder if it is really his own idea or is it the one called Flint's idea) [Nar]
(Whatever it is, it doesn't change the fact that he's involved. Well then, let's just hope everything goes smoothly) [Khamisah]
As we watch from the castle through the Magic Motion Orb, we can see the timid, cowardly figure right next to the First Prince. This description must be Flint. He's dressed glamorously, as if he's some kind of high-ranking noble. Next to him, there's only the generals of the empire we once defeated. I can clearly see the bitterness on their faces at having to enter a land they once failed to conquer.
"The lady next to him... She has the aura of a witch..." [Nar].
"True, but I can tell she's inferior to Merlin" [Khamisah].
"Intuition?" [Sas]
"Intuition" [Khamisah]
"Then we have nothing to worry about. If she is indeed inferior, I'm sure Merlin will be able to break any trick she uses" [Nar].
Most of the troops remain outside the wall. With his hand signaling the troop to stand guard, the soldier makes a salute to the prince. Classic
Eisheth, without breaking a sweat, quickly leads our "beloved guest" to the castle. We know full well that he loves a carriage that lets others see his face, and to drop his guard, we comply. The usual tactic mentioned in the noble guidebook is to give the opposite of what others prefer, as a sign of mocking them, either directly or indirectly, that is, you're insignificant to us, so why should we know about your preference, but, Merlin wanted to catch him off guard with her trick, a trick that rightly earned her the title of witch. Pity we have to keep it a secret from Diana, I'm sure she can't wait to know what her beloved mirage ore and lizard were used for.
From the upgraded Magic Motion Orb, we can hear that he's still impressed that Amleth is a country that celebrates diversity. There's no mockery or annoyance in his tone, it's simply praise. Either he lied so well that none of us caught it, or he really believes it. Either way, it pisses me off somehow, but what is shocking is
"He can tell at a glance that Neloufa is the girl who plays the fairy in Emas. Quite a bit of information he managed to gather" [Sas].
"That bastard, if he hurts Neloufa, I'll kill him!" [Nar]
"Calm down. He's just praising Neloufa. You of all people should know how narcissistic he is, and yet he wouldn't belittle a talent he acknowledged" [Khamisah].
"True... Now it reminded me of a time when he persistently tried to recruit us as his personal knights" [Nar].
The First Prince spotted Neloufa from his carriage and congratulated her on her debut at Emas. His eyes, it's an eye that says, if you continue to improve, I will recruit you into the finest opera of the empire. He loves to steal talent with money. Then again, Her Highness Queen Amleth and Guild Master Akela do the same, only their method isn't just using money.
He's at the castle gate now. Now it's time for us to greet him.
"Are you ready?" [Nar].
"Let's just finish this." [Sas]
