chapter 2

I decided to play baseball in seido highschool for various reasons . I didnt like the characters or story from anime particularly. my dream was to become a pro baseball player so after thinking a lot , my best option was this school . the reason was simple. -

1. the team was national class and famous

2. catcher was miyuki kazuya

according to the timeline miyuki was now a 3rd year and my age was same as him .

catcher was the most important partner for a pitcher in the sports called baseball. even though I had perfect control skill or could read the mind of my batters , it was not enough . the reason was simple . it was because not every batter was a type that thinked a lot in the batters box . most battlers relied on skill and thought a lot but some just relied on intuition like yuki from anime . sometimes , when there was no command from opponent coach , it was impossible to know the target ball of the batter.

my observation skills were top notch as i perfected them during my past life . my only job was a scout and scorer for games so I could research various types of batters . well to be honest I was just free so to forget my frustrations , I spent all the time researching .

I was a smart person even though I could not study at all but when it came to baseball, my mind was really sharp . so I knew the most important thing I need to become a pro baseball player . I just had to be famous enough so that various scouts from pro baseball clubs notice me . miyuki was the perfect partner for me because with him as a catcher , striking out instinct type batters was easy . I knew his skills from anime so I was sure of it .

in this month and half, I brought out most of the potential of my body with extreme training because I knew that all my injuries would just heal overnight. it took a lot of time before I could get used to these superhuman powers though . I played a game every week with some adults who played for fun so I confirmed the ability to read the mind . it was hard at first because most of the thoughts were just nonsense like cursing someone , sex etc. but I had to get used to it as this ability was my most important weapon .

i could now throw all my pitch types that i used in my past life . my pitches were

for a pro pitcher , max 141 was just average so i had to work really hard for the scouts to notice me . i guessed that my body's limit was 143 max speed that I would reach till the summer tournament. i could play as much as i want with my skills but i wanted to be a star baseball player who made more than 200 million yen annually. so the first impression before going pro is important as the draft amount would depend on it .

4 PM ( coach room )

( now I'm talking with kataoka coach from anime and have submitted my application form to officially join the baseball club . I had thought that it must be awkward because I was joining in my last year of high school but unexpectedly there no problem as the coach looked happy when I met him . really though he really looks like a mafia boss. I now get sawamura feeling why he calls him boss . aside from face , he is really a gentle but disciplined man as I could tell by observation. )

coach - so Ken, I accept your application but first tell me the reason you play baseball. i dont think you play for fun with your personality.

Ken- ( embarrassed) sir , I just want to be a pro after high school as I only know baseball . I will try to get along well with my new teammates but because of my personality. you know ..

I will just complete my task during games ( confidence ) so that our team can win .

coach - that's alright with me . just do your best with training and those guys will see you as a teammate quickly after seeing your hard work . now let's go ... it's time to see the reason behind your confidence .. ( smirk )
