Chapter-3[The Mysterious Book]

In a completely white space surrounded by mist all around the corners, a girl suddenly appeared there.

I opened my eyes and started to look around only to find myself in a white space with fog colluding every corner of this white space.

'Where am I? I remember sleeping in the room...? Am I dreaming?...but this feels way too real...' I wondered looking around. Everything felt way too real for it to be a dream, I tried to pinch my arms and immediately felt the pain which made me realize that it is not a dream.

I suddenly felt something and quickly turned around only to see Black Light particles gathering together forming a black book that started to hover in the air.

'...wait! It is that book!!....' I exclaimed mentally the moment I saw that book.

I instantly recognized that book, it is the same book that the weird but mysterious old man slammed into my chest in my past life which turned into particles and entered my body.

"Why is this book here? And what is this place?" I questioned but no one answered me as there was no one except me in this whole space.

The Black Book started to glow a little in ominous black light which seems to be absorbing the whiteness in the space where I am in.

My eyes completely focused on the book because I felt something from the book, The Power of Devouring, something I am completely familiar with...

'...but this devouring is way too strong...I can't even sense it completely...' I thought as I stared at the book that seems to be absorbing everything around it.

After a while, the book stopped glowing and along with it, the devouring also stopped.

'...Why am I feeling so much desire to have this book?....it's calling me to touch it...' I wondered at the fact that I seemed to be getting attracted, way too much attracted to the book.

I slowly started to walk towards the book while my eyes showed the desire to have that book.

I reached in front of the book and stared at it intently for a minute, with an intense stare that seems to bore holes through the book, and after some time, I extended my hand with the intention to touch it.

But before I could touch it, the book opened and intense white light mixed with black particles released from it. The black particles started to gather in the left corner making the place there look like a weird thing as it was completely white and not there are black particles stored with that.

I came back to my senses when that black light released from the book and quickly covered my eyes to protect them from the intense white light.

'When did I get here?! Did I finally lose my senses...?!' I thought as I appeared here without even knowing myself.

After a minute, the light died down and I removed my arm covering my eyes, and looked at the book which only showed one page right now, having written,

[DEVOURING THE COSMOS]

[You are the Devourer. The True Devourer who shall devour everything. It is your fate...but does fate matter to you? If you found your Fate unsatisfactory...Devour it. As you are a Devourer.]

[Became what you are...what you should..become strong, strong than anyone...even if you have to devour everything in your path!]

[As you are a Devourer. You shall be the ruler of that power...as you should be.]

I continued to read everything and felt those words full of power and mystery. The mystery which shall be known to none. But there is a problem.

'Who wrote these lines is sure to be weird...like they are not even making sense but it feels good to read them...' I thought while being focused on the book.

I then looked at the corner where the black light parts are gathered but only to see them staying still, showing no moment.

Seeing nothing suspicious, I turned my eyes to the book again, to read more.

[But...what is Devour? Is it just taking the thing in your body? Is it just becoming strong enough?...No! but you shall seek the answer yourself...with this technique...find your path on becoming ruler, the one who rules over everything. The MAHESHWERA!]

Reading the last part, I felt the blood all over my body boiling, I felt the power coming from the last words like they want to devour everything in the path. Devour the world and everything along with it.

But when I read the last word, my whole body started to tremble in fear, excitement, and something I never thought I would feel this much, obsession...obsession with The Maheshwara.

'I want to become one...The Maheshwara...no matter what, I will devour everything in my path to become one....' I thought as my eyes become blood red and black aura started to gather all around me, The Aura of Devouring.

Suddenly a black light showed from the book and entered my forehead, completely vanishing from there, and I fall on the ground losing my consciousness.

The Book closed itself but before it closes completely, a white ball of orb shot out of it directly towards me and entered my chest.

The Book closed down and I vanished from that place.

In the Mystical Sorcery Palace,

In Inner Disciples Compartment, a girl opened her eyes and looked around before holding her head in her hand in pain.

"...What the hell happened?" I asked in a hoarse voice due to the pain in my head.

I held my head in my head as new information poured into my head.

"The Supreme Devourer? Who is he?" I inquired to no one after my headache starts to relieve a little.

'huh...why do I have the information in my head...about a refinement method?' I thought about the information that appeared in my mind.

The information that I got is from someone 'Supreme Devourer', and about a method that he created about refining energy you get through Devouring.

"This method is way too strong...but will also decrease the cultivation speed of the person using it..." I said while going through the method in my mind.

The method I got is to refine the energy to the limit, no matter how much stronger the energy already is. But there is a drawback, the purer energies amount will be less ...way too less than the actual, decreasing my already decreased cultivation speed even more.

'But...it is tempting to use this method, it seems to be tailored made from me...but why do I have this method in my head..?...wait! That Black Book...it must be the reason but where is that book?' Xia thought and remembered the book but before I could think more...

Suddenly, I heard a mechanical voice in my head and a screen popped in front of my with something written on it.

Every on the screen vanished before appearing again,

A smiley face forms on the screen and I heard a sweet voice of a little girl in my head.

'And there is also the thing before...why was I so obsessed or I still am with becoming The Maheshwara?...and what is that book...and I can't even remember how I got to that mysterious white place?...' I thought as I felt my whole life getting covered in a veil of mystery.
