In the modern city of Lagos, a boy named Michael is sixteen years old, quite tall, with eyes darker than the midnight sky and hair longer than his body length. Also known as the black angel, he was just about finishing secondary school, a time when kids his age would be so joyous, but he wasn't. He was angry, sad, and, most importantly, envious of all his peers because they had parents and he didn't. Michael lost his mom at eight, and his dad disappeared suddenly after his mom's death. Since then, Michael had to survive alone because the Lagos government didn't care about the citizens.

 Luckily, his dad secretly left some money for him, which he had been using to stay for the past years, but now the money was coming to an end. His dad also left a letter which contained two words: "FIND ME." These words have been on Michael's head since his dad left, but Michael still hasn't found him. Michael only has a few clues, which lead him to a lonely village called Epe; he decides to embark on the journey immediately after leaving secondary school and has no plans to go to university or Towlex.

 Towlex is a battle college where humans learn how to use black magic and various forms of energy manipulation or talents they are born with; as for Michael, he wasn't too bright and didn't have any affinity for any form of magic, and neither was he returned with an ability so he was also called the talentless black angel. Due to their hard life, Michael has built a burning sensation for everything, and that sensation is called ENVY. He wants to be above everyone; he wants what everyone has, and he imagines the death of people's mothers because he envies the existence of a mother in their lives. This envious mentality he has pushes him to find the truth of his mom's death and his dad's disappearance, so "MICHAEL, MY BOY, WHAT PIECE SHALL YOU BECOME."

Ahhhhh(Michael sighs as he wakes up) today is Michael's graduation from secondary school, a day that Michael hates because he has to see the disgusting faces of his classmates, a group of people he despises that he envies so much that he wishes they were DEAD. As he wears his suit with his hair tied behind his back, he gets into the cab waiting for him outside his gate. Still, before he enters the cab, he notices a little girl on the other side of the road telling him not to enter, but he ignores her. After all, he hates everything; he gets into the cab and is safely dropped at the graduation center. The moment he was in the open, all his classmates looked at him with eyes of disgust.

 They saw him as a failure because he was neither good with academics nor combat; he was the pure definition of a FAILURE. But Michael didn't care. He just wanted to collect his testimonial and get the hell out of there(a testimonial is a document that shows a student's general behavior and is used to enter college/university). After a few hours, Michael collected his testimonial and entered the same cab that brought him. Still, something felt off this time because two men were holding bags, looking at him like a lion looking at his next prey, but of course, the carefree Michael scuffed it off and even took a nap. Now, while Michael was still dreaming of how we would kill everyone, BAM... a loud sound was heard. Michael woke up after all the sound came from his head, which was bleeding at the moment, stood up and saw the culprit, AKA the head smasher., don't get confused ( he is called the head smasher, not because he smashed Michaels's head but because he breaks heads for a living, also yes there are villain's in this world) when Michael saw head smasher who was easy to recognize due to his popularity and customized bat with the picture of a middle-aged woman in bikini, he believed his life has come to an end because not only head smasher was there but a masked man with a symbol which is commonly known as the symbol of death in Nigeria. But even with all the fear, Michael still had one thing burning in his chest; it wasn't joy, pain, or regret but ENVY. 

 He felt so much envy towards the criminals because they had abilities and he didn't have the strength he did. They had it all but still decided to be criminals; it made him wonder why, why are the wrong people given everything and the good people like him got everything taken away from them. Lost in thought, Michael almost forgot his situation; as he was being flashed back to reality, the head smasher tried smacking him again, but luckily, Michael dodged it, and that's when it hit Michael: HE WASNT TIED they saw him as such a little threat that they saw no need to tie him. The head smasher laughed like a spoilt radio while saying, "Run, little one, and let's have fun " When Michael heard this, he was pissed but had no choice but to run, but of course, before he ran, he had to look around and know where to run to, after looking at his surrounding he knew he was in a warehouse.

 Still, on the second floor of it, they were only one escape route the stairway. Still, if he follows there he will be caught in no time because the criminals are advanced humans with abilities while he is an ordinary human, after thinking he made his choice. Surprisingly the two criminals waited till he was ready after all "WHAT COULD THE TALENTLESS BLACK ANGEL DO." Head smasher seeing the look in Michaels eyes he shouted "ARE YOU READY MY BOY" (he said this while walking towards Michael) Michael was now ready and ran towards the window at full speed jumping off from the second floor and landing in a dustbin can, although he broke the bone located in his arm he was satisfied because he believed he has escaped the criminals until he saw two shadows covering and these shadows owned by the criminals, who were smiling at Michael like a toy they will play with later but Michael didn't give up he jumped out of the trash can and took off running like never before but this time the criminals chased after him one with a bat and the other with GUN (yes a gun) the masked criminal held the weapon while head smasher held the bat, the masked criminal sent a shot which Michael saw coming and dodged luckily but instead of the bullet to go straight it turned back back like a homing missile and punctured Michaels left leg but because of the adrenaline running through his veins Michael felt he continued running in fear, pain and anger because he couldn't do anything. Until the path he was running on came to an end.....
