Light divinity temple.

The loot bag to end all loot bags and because I haven't triggered any problems in the lower tier areas the big wigs are still sleeping in a cultivation coma. They are 'processing' the power from the book of creation which is combined. The creation source is very dangerous but I have a location set aside to drop it in and cloak it from sight and senses.

At least that is the plan, it is the last thing I am going for and I will ignore it till I have everything else of worth.

First a easy one and one with a big gain both power-wise and emotionally.

Phoenix egg and the fire source that is incubating it, It's in the mid-tier area and I have full confidence in snagging this one. The fire source is a must-grab item as it directly helps Zola reach kingdom and I can't complete the 'side quest' from the fire elemental king since it involves an Abyss altar.

I will set up a teleportation circle to teleport the egg and source to my shop in the Demon world once I locate them. This way no alarms will go off and I can trigger it at my leisure after I am a safe distance, and by that, I mean on a different world.

I don't have a need for the Snow Dallet flower a flower that was supposed to save Izzy's life but Izzy is fine, more than fine even. She is kicking butt and taking on a lot of the tedious problems for me with my various business ventures. Laying her might have been the best thing I had ever done for my business.

I will still steal at least one to give to her since she has told me the story about it and I can't give her the person who hurt her just yet. I need that person to show their true self to Tiffany so she will no longer crave going to see her mom who doesn't care for her. That will save me a bunch of time in the long run and Izzy can kill her later.

Next on the menu is the 'chapter of wind' or in demon terms the breeze shadow boots. I need to find a table with it inserted in the form of a tablet or something like that, I can't remember too well but it's in the back of the highest-level temple.

Right next to the gem of the heist, the creation source.

I blink my eyes for the first time in what feels like hours after staring at the different temples beneath me. I have been cloaked and hidden and quite possibly separated into 'two' pocket dimensions while observing the temples.

I have taken out all the stops and I will be the best sneaky rat I possibly can be.

I have a medical team on standby in case this is a failed attempt and I get wounded, I don't plan to fail in the slightest. One failure will make this near impossible to do a second time, the angels will be awake after this so I need to pull it off.

This is like sneaking into the final boss's loot room by meshing through the textures and getting behind them. It feels both wrong and also exhilarating because I am 'cheating' for an easy win.

Floating down to the temple I can detect the fire source in I ready an emergency escape teleport circle. I don't know if they just don't have a high ceiling on their detection range or if they can't see me so I am going to be ready if I see a pillar of light fly toward me.

The closer I get the faster my heart beats and I can feel sweat on my brow, I am only a peak overlord and there are the closest people to true god beneath my feet. I float in through the open doorway of the massive temple and keep my eyes peeled for an ambush.

This temple is massive and has tall pillars holding the ceiling up, I can't help but appreciate the work that went into carving the art on them that likely is never seen. I shake my head and press on as I get closer to where I can detect the fire source. I am avoiding teleporting around like a crackhead because I don't know if the action itself will trigger something that will expose me.

Soon my eyes widen seeing a familiar glowing source of energy floating around a small egg. The egg is nothing like I was expecting, I don't even remember how it was described but it looks like fire taken solid form. I quickly set up the 'abduction circle' and look around for any danger.

Seeing nothing half my worry flies out the window and I make my way out of the temple with a smile on my face. This might not be so bad if they couldn't detect it or their warning system couldn't feel anything.

The Snow Dallet flower is more impressive than I thought, pure is the word I would use.

Seeing it in all its glory makes my nose itch and a tingle in my hands to snatch it up and run. Some devil fucker that much is for sure...

I set up a circle to snag a branch with one flower and turn to look up at the massive temple I know for a fact houses the strongest person in the setting other than the Abyss. Satan might be close but this guy isn't called the closest to god without reason.

And an arrogance to match it since Chen Rui ran out of a portal right Infront of the guy's face and he wasn't able to do anything.

I take a moment to calm myself and focus on my objective, I can sense some weird things inside but I haven't been too brazen in case the big guy is just lulled into a light rest. He might detect me the moment I walk inside and I am ready to abort the moment I even think he is awake.

My cheat system should totally reward me for skipping half the story and getting right to the last item in the 'game'.

Massive.

A giant statue with feathered wings and a 'presence' that makes me feel tiny.

It is hard to take my eyes away but I know they can feel 'worship' so I shake my head and look at the floor. I need to be careful to not be pulled into a trance and wake the guy up because he feels someone giving 'faith' nearby.

They are sucking the faith from the God they use to serve and also studying the creation source while in a coma to preserve their life and grow quickly. I don't think it gets much more cultivation than sleeping for thousands of years to become a true god. Some straight-up bull crap that doesn't even slightly make sense.

I make my way toward the hallway on the right side where I feel some odd wisps of power coming from. I know the boots are in their tablet form near the creation source so I just need to be close enough to see it to find the boots.

Chen Rui felt like the creation source would consume him and remake him if he looked at it for too long or got too close. I don't remember his strength at the time but I think it was Kingdom, and I am only overlord.

If this is the end I will feel like an idiot if I wake up in some other story.

Something feels like it lights inside of me but is quickly snuffed out and I scrunch my brows in confusion.

I am quickly snapped out of my musing by a weight pressing on me, taking that as the 'signal' to get out of town I teleport back to the demon world while triggering my 'Abduction circles'.

Hope this big thing gets pulled along by the circle and is contained by the chamber I made it.

- Michael's POV -

I slowly wake from my comprehension sleep and realize there is an intruder inside of the temple.

They stand Infront of the creation source with no signs of being affected and it leaves me in a shock. How is that person I can barely detect now that I am focusing all my attention on them not being 'remade' by the very source of creation?

I need to figure out how this works, I reach to trap the intruder but he disappears as if smoke with no trace as far as I search.

I scan once more thinking the source had gotten the intruder but my very soul is pulled out of my body when I can no longer feel the source. I release my true form and the temple takes massive damage as I look at the empty pedestal the source was sitting on.

Rage.

An ocean of rage builds up in me faster than I can reasonably control and the rest of the temple is sent flying or erased on my light. I put all my power into scanning as wide as I can and as I do I detect the others stirring awake in a panic.

Who could have done this?

It has to be one of the old timers, only someone near my own power could pull something like this off. But I feel something is missing as I think back at what I was seeing and my eyes snap open when I realize I recognize something about the 'man' I had seen.

He was wearing most of the artifacts of 'him'.

He is back.

It is the only answer that makes sense, I feel a chill on my back knowing he was so close to me and I was unaware until he let me sense him. He took the creation source and I can't help but feel worry for the first time in a hundred thousand years.

Longer than any empire of man has existed since I last felt this panic.

All my plans were ruined, why would he do this without even so much as a word?

I will get to the bottom of this and find out the truth, even if it is the end of me.
