The War on The Xuidian Kingdom (4)

"Enzo, there's a change of plans; you're coming with me to the Khyuka Empire, where Xavier is supposed to be causing chaos." I said it calmly. "Sora, why are you talking to me like we are buddies? I'm going to fucking kill you." I gritted my teeth and snarled. "Enzo, Remi, Rayne, I need to go to the Khyuka Kingdom."

"No, you aren't going anywhere. We are ending this once and for all. Your corrupt ideology needs to be put to an end, and I will make sure that everything that you have done will go to waste." Enzo scoffed.

"Elena, get behind me, please."

"Okay, Sora, I know you are strong. This man used to be your friend, am I correct?" Her hand trembled; she looked terrified. "Indeed."

I'll stand here and try my best to defend Elena while also suppressing Zion's attacks, though this would end horribly if we fought here because the entire city would get destroyed, so the best solution is to leave this place as quickly as possible and settle things elsewhere. "Remi and Rayne, I'll be right back after I defeat Zion."

I grabbed Zion's neck and flew away at supersonic speed, reaching another continent called the Lethic Continent. It took seconds for us to arrive on the ground of the Lethic Continent. I simply dropped him, causing him to break apart and bleed heavily from his wounds. I slammed the back of his head into the ground. I stood up. The dust cleared, revealing a mass of red liquid on my arms that smelled like copper mixed with oil, like rusting iron in some way.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Zion sneered in agony before standing up, clutching at his sides, his breathing ragged and painful. Blood dripped steadily from between the cracks of his teeth as they locked into place on the side of his cheek. A crazed expression washed over me; he began cackling hysterically as I lunged toward him again without warning. Zion grabbed my outreached fist easily.

"Die..." I uttered the one word I could manage between clenched jaws. He smiled. Zion twisted my wrist harshly as it broke, and the bone crunched beneath his fingers; however, I was able to heal it the second he let go of my wrist. Zion realized that he made a grave mistake that would lead to his doom as I slowly stepped up closer toward him, lifting my arm up, and placed the palm of my right hand directly over the center of his forehead, where both of his eyes stared wide in disbelief; however, his expression became slack.

"STOP THIS SHIT, SORA! COME ON! COME BACK TO SANITY! Please, I'm begging you." Zion cried out in a desperate plea for mercy and compassion, although all that answered back were cold silence and cruelty. My own blood had become like molten lava underneath his touch as tears escaped me while an anguish far greater than anything else tore me open, making me want to curl up into a fetal position and cry forever.

"Your soul is corrupt; I will do what I must and end this once and for all."

The fight between Zion and I began—well, it was more of a one-sided molestation. Zion was utterly powerless against my onslaught as I attacked and used spells faster than he could comprehend; it didn't matter. This would end in a loss, no matter which way things went. Zion attempted to counter by striking me, but all he could do was block my spells in a pathetic display of defense as they overwhelmed him in terms of sheer volume and power, unlike anything he had ever experienced previously; every time he countered with his magic or sword, nothing happened and left me unharmed due to my enhanced armor or advanced shields that surrounded me like some sort of bubble.

My overwhelming intensity blew all of his defenses out, and I was left with one final punch straight to the chest, impaling him in the process.

My fist broke through the surface layer of the skin before piercing his flesh easily while he let out an agonizing scream. The shockwave rippled outward and caused the surrounding area to ripple in an unstable manner as I slowly withdrew my hand back out as the flesh and organs within him struggled to reconnect themselves, along with trying not to tear anything open during its recovery.

A crimson stream erupted from Zion's body. The man had enough power within him, though I just wanted to end this quicker because my blood is boiling for more chaos, carnage, and devastation. I grabbed his head with my other hand and slammed him into the ground, causing blood to stream down his face as he screamed in utter agony.

"Tell me, Sora, how the hell did you survive Williams?" Zion groaned through gritted teeth, holding back a laugh.

"Who the fuck cares, Zion? We are going to battle. Do not delay your life longer with meaningless chatter; fight."

I turned my back around and walked away from Zion, not paying any attention to the burning questions in my head. I infused my hand with Oblivion Flames and punched him in the face, which ignited his entire body into flames. My whole body is full of mana, and with an insane amount, I can easily eliminate every trace of Zion, even his soul.

"Well, look at me; you should feel grateful I ended you without destroying this continent." I sighed as I watched his body disintegrate. It was as if he didn't even exist in this world before.

As time went on, he began to stop struggling; after all, he was already dead. His soul continued to fight, even though it was futile in the end. What surprised me was his resistance. It was odd how strong his spirit was to not break down even when everything was hopeless.

I inhaled deeply before exhaling. With a small burst of mana, an immense amount of mana shot forth and devoured Zion's soul, then absorbed him into a sphere. That sphere of energy changed into a stone. It looked black and grey, and it pulsated like a heartbeat; each pulsation was a wave of magic.

"Now that he is out of the way, we can head to the capital to resolve things once and for all."
