DAY 2

Both of them woke up early in the morning. It was a good thing that there was a flashlight provided for them in the drawer. Rook looked at the time. It was only 5:00 AM, very good start for going into the crime scene. They sneaked to the victim's room and turned on the flashlight.

Rook focused his flashlight on the beam where the rope was tied. He can see the marks in the beam.

"The killer tied the noose on that beam. The problem are the marks on the victim's neck. It seems not to be from this rope. The rope left a mark on the victim's neck but I noticed a small mark besides it. Could it be that the mark from the rope was postmortem?"

"Rook! Look at this!" called Tatsumi. He was on the window Gabriel broke and entered to open the door. Rook went to the window and focused his flashlight. There is a flat surface on the ground near the left part of the window.

"A flat surface?"

"The rain poured lightly last night. The land must have gotten soft and damp, so anything that must have been placed in here, made a flat surface mark," Rook explained.

He looked at the flat surface and he discovered that there were broken glass shards near it.

"The window was broken from the outside…"

"Let's return to our room, the police will come here soon!" Tatsumi alarmed.

The sun is almost rising so they went back to their room and continued their investigation, to what may have happened that time. Couple of hours passed when the maid prepared their breakfast meal. All of them gathered and silently ate their breakfast. Hansel broke the silence and informed them about the police investigation of what happened.
