chapter 55: BY ORDER OF THE EMERALD DEMON!

"what!?"graham asked his voice filled with disbelief

Stephen smiled " Godhood is just another step towards evolution Graham but we misled you to believe that gods are unfathomable beings but that is not true at all . Truthfully speaking gods are the reason your world is dying , it's been a hundred thousand years since Concilia last produced a god and by law any world that doesn't produce a god in a span of a hundred thousand years has to die and the gods of that said world are moved to a lower plane as punishment" Stephen paused looking at graham who seemed enraged

"Why would you mislead us?! Why would you subjugate us to such a horrible fate !? Why? Don't you have hearts ?" Cedric laughed

"Hahaha elder brother it seems like Thelma forgot to add that Concilia's saviour is a weeper "graham held himself from punching Cedric

"Quiet Cedric , Graham Nimour do you want to save your world?" Stephen walked towards him

The anger inside him was telling him to refuse but the thoughts of seeing his world turn into a ball of ice didn't sit well with him plus he had just gotten married , his rationality overpowered his anger and he gently nodded to Stephen's question

"I know this is probably a ploy of yours but I don't care , all I want to do... I mean the reason I left my home to travel around the world was to find a way to save the world and it doesn't matter how I save it as long as it's saved." Graham maintained deep eye contact with Stephen

" Very good graham very good , Cedric his all yours. Take him to the stasis chamber " Stephen left the two of them alone

"Prepare yourself mortal " Cedric had a sinister smile on his face

"You speak as if you were born a god " graham rolled his eyes

"What if I was?" Cedric raised a brow

" Then it would explain your arrogance" graham responded

Kingdom of Zebha

Faro could feel the malicious aura radiating from the man the doom general had just called zenoki . Faro's thoughts were all over the place but now was not the time for him to overthink things , the kingdom needed it's guardian and he was the only one holding fort

"Emerald demon of Zebha I must say it's an honor to meet you , I even once thought of approaching you to join me but your loyalty lies with your kingdom and now I must kill a man I admire all for naught ." Zenoki' voice was cold and calm , it gave the feeling that everything he said was rehearsed before

A bead of sweat rolled down the side of Faro's face , zenoki's aura was making it hard for him to breath . Holt moved towards him slowly with arcs of red lightning dancing around his body as a true testament of his anger towards faro

"How dare you hurt my Esther." His voice was barely audible but faro heard him well , the arcs of lightning doubled in size the closer he got .

" You cannot defeat him Holt just stay put , I will deal with him " zenoki's aura clashed with Holt's aura cancelling ech other out

"Whatever." Holt stopped his advanced , faro's hairs stood on ends he could feel the danger radiating from zenoki

" Faro jorn hero of Zebha with 49 percent soul and body synchronization rate that is very impressive to say the least ....but it's sad a man of your talent is going to die protecting this ...THIS ALREADY DEAD KINGDOM!!" Zenoki disappeared mid speech from where he was and appeared right above faro with a hand covered in red maggots reaching for his face

"Rune formation ....Earth burial." A pyramid structure made from sand arised from the ground and swallowed up faro , protecting him from zenoki

The moment the structure appeared zenoki pulled back his arm and pause mid air looking at the structure as if he was studying it

"So that is how Sondor has won all of it's past battles ....large scale rune formations mhhhh interesting and the fact that you are not using yourself as the power source but instead you are simply using the raw breath of the universe haha fascinating truly fascinating , I would not expect anything less from a member of the noble house of Jorn but the only downside is that these types of formations are not that impressive when your enemy far outclasses you " zenoki flew up into the desert's night sky with his finger raised to the sky

Suffocating , his foul aura spread out below suffocating both holt and even faro who was inside the giant pyramid. Holt was kneeling on one knee trying hard to resist the pressure but the pressure got so much worse by the second

Blasphemous runes , rot of the underworld break" bizarre runes appeared all over zenoki and the foul breath gathered into a sharp point below him almost like a rotating nail , zenoki started falling to the ground so fast with the gathered foul below him causing cracks to appear on the giant pyramid faro had entombed himself in

-this is bad , really bad his power could be said to match the majesty's . He's about to destroy the ancient formation ..... And where the hell is the help I asked for- faro thought to himself

Zenoki hit the ground with such a tremendous amount of power the desert floor cracked in half where he landed and the ground tremble with the pyramid exploding revealing a huge crater where it once stood and a man wearing raggs with messy green hair covering his face filled with blood stains

-damnit , I guess it's time for me to serve Zebha one last time ....cheer up Faro and stand proud this is how you have always imagined your death .- faro put on a smile and stood up

"Zenoki is it ? I don't know what your true purpose is but I must tell you this ZEBHA IS NOT FALLING TONIGHT!!! BY ORDER OF THE EMERALD DEMON ....me" Faro jumped out of the crater with immense strength that caused shockwaves and the trembling of the ground , zenoki smiled under his mask -there it is , unyielding conviction....show me faro , SHOW ME !!!- He screamed to himself as he pulled back his arm ready to strike at the incoming faro

Faro's breath spread down into the desert "sands of destruction , Tempest!" Soon the whole nightsky was covered with dark clouds of dust that hid the moon and stars. Within a few minutes, the wind started blowing. Initially, the speed of the wind was slow. However, it soon gathered momentum and a raging storm engulfed everything. Instead of rain, the sky was showering dust and stones from the sky. It was a terrible sight.

The wind was making shrieking and howling sounds , holt who had moved a thousand yards away while carrying the body of Esther looked to where faro and zenoki were battling with an enraged look in his eyes

-it would be best to dispose of you when you have both exhausted yourselfs .... especially you Faro , you will pay for for what you did to my love..- Holt struck the ground with his clenched fist in anger

"A sand tempest strong enough to flatten a large city ?! You truly earned the title emerald demon....NOW , Blasphemous runes: doomed forest" zenoki placed his right hand filled with maggots on the ground and bizarre runes appeared on the ground and his body , immediately afterwards huge black trees sprouted from the ground with thick vines and branches. The trees rapidly moved towards the oncoming tempest that was growing larger and larger with zenoki on the top of a large vine with his arms spread open

- earth element can only be cancelled by the plant element , but mine is not just normal plants and you are not just an earth element user I have done research on you . Show me faro- zenoki thought to himself , before looking towards faro

"Show me faro , show me the true extent of your power!" Zenoki beamed with excitement

The distance between them was getting closer and faro frowned when he saw the large vines and roots coming towards him rapidly shooting out from the ground

" Plant element? Damnit!" Faro screamed
