Denigration of the Devil

(He loosened my one hand and slowly rested it above his heart. Suddenly, it reminded me of our first kiss. That day, he did this same thing, but probably he didn't remember since he was drank. "Feel that. It only beats for you. Feel it, Noona. This thing was protected with heavy shells. It was impossible to break it free, but you did it. You broke the shells one by one and slowly made your way into this. Only you live inside my heart. Only for you, this cold heart beats." His eyes held thousands of emotions in them. I was overwhelmed looking into his eyes, feeling that hectic rhythm of his heart under my palm. He smiled at me, "I love you. I love only you. Always have, always will." Chapter 15: Someone That Cares

Fahami's POV:

My head was pounding like drums. Even though I took medicine, my headache wasn't decreasing. I went to bathroom with trembling legs. I hoped a cold shower would help with this headache.

Water was falling over my head. Water drops were making a rhythmic sound on the floor. I was trying to hypnotize myself as I was listening to the rhythm. I tried hard to remember about last night. What had happened? I couldn't remember. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't remember a bit of it.

'No, it won't work. I have to stop before I catch cold.'

I heard a thud as I was wiping my body. Then the thud seemed familiar. Someone had entered in my flat. I quickly wore a black T-shirt and a khaki trouser. Water was dripping from my hair cause I didn't get enough time to wipe it. When I stepped out of my bathroom, I noticed, Taesung setting a tray of food on my bed. He was wearing red shirt, blue jeans. His hairs looked messy as if someone brushed them with fingers numerous times. After placing the tray on the bed he looked up and flashed a smile as our eyes met.

'For some unknown reason, he looks happy.'

"Good morning, Noona."

He was still smiling. I averted my gaze from him to the tray. Then again looked at him. His eyes read my thoughts. He looked nervous as his gaze met with mine. He chuckled nervously and said, "S-sorry, I didn't have enough groceries." I simply smiled at his childishness. I glanced at the tray and noticed there was a plate full of sticky rice and omelet.

"You could use my groceries." I gradually walked to him. He stepped back at my sudden arrival. I couldn't help but chuckled.

"Well, it didn't occur to my mind earlier." He flashed a nervous smile. I noticed pink color rushed to his cheeks and ears.

'Is he blushing? Cute!'

"You know, you really didn't need to do all of these." Our eyes met. The sunlight fell on his face. He had a gorgeous face. No matter how many times I looked at him, I couldn't help but exclaim it. His pupils dilated as they looked into mine. I broke the awkward silence by turning my gaze to the food.

He cleared his throat, "I thought you needed these. You had a bad headache. It seemed you couldn't make breakfast. That's why I made them."

Warmth. That's what I felt in my heart right that moment. This boy cared about me so much. I looked at him in gratitude, "Thank you."

He smiled and nodded.

I moved to the bed and said, "Well then, let's see, what a good cook you are!"

"Now you are making me nervous." He laughed.

I placed a spoon full of rice and a bit of omelet in my mouth. I moaned in taste. I didn't realize how much hungry I was before. I was eating and moaning. Few moments later when I realized what I was doing, I stopped. I slowly looked up to see Taesung. His eyes darkened. Our eyes met and he gulped. Then he looked down and coughed. All of a sudden he looked at me and humor was dancing in his eyes.

"Seems like I am an excellent cook. What do you think Noona?" He chuckled.

I laughed along with him. Then I nodded.

"You were hungry. Otherwise, you wouldn't eat this tasteless dishes in few minutes." He laughed.

Oh, God! When I first met with Taesung, he was a sad person. He didn't smile, didn't laugh, didn't look happy. Now he smiled, laughed. I wanted him to be this much happy. Always. I must have stared at him for longer. He waved a hand in front of my face.

"Hello? Noona, are you there?"

"Hmm?" I was zoned out, "Sorry. I was thinking something."

"What were you thinking?"

"Secret!"

He pouted at my words. I laughed, "Cute!"

He flinched then he frowned. As if I have said something bad about him.

"What do you mean by cute?" He pouted more. I pinched his right cheek.

"Now you look cuter."

He stared at me, then he laughed. I wondered what if he was hungry.

"Taesung?"

"Hmm?" He still had the slightest hint of happiness on his face.

"Did you have breakfast?"

"Yes Noona."

I looked at his face to understand if he was lying or not. No. He wasn't.

I ate in silence. Few hair strands kept falling on my eyes. I was trying to remove them unsuccessfully. Then I felt Taesung removed the strands from my face and tucked them behind my ear. Not even the men I dated did anything like this. I felt heat rushed to my cheeks. I knew he couldn't see, but I was blushing. Suddenly he placed his hand on my head and kept touching my hairs. When I looked up at his eyes, his eyes looked at me in worry.

"Noona, your hairs are wet. You will catch cold." He seemed concerned.

I giggled, "I was starving. I couldn't wait to dry my hairs."

His hands fell. I concentrated on eating. All of a sudden I felt a towel on my head and a pair of hands were patting my head. I looked above to see Taesung was drying my hairs with a serious look on his face.

"Eat Noona, your food will get cold."

He kept that serious look. Damn it, I missed Ma. She would do this for me if I didn't wipe my hairs. This boy reminded me of my family every day. He combed my hair then again wiped. I didn't tell him that I had a hair dryer. I couldn't. If I would, then I would miss this. This moment, this feeling. I looked away from him.

"Taesung?" I tried vanish the awkwardness floating in the air.

"Yes, Noona?"

"Do you know what happened last night?" I asked him carefully.

"Yes, don't you know?" He was concentrated on drying my hairs.

"I can't remember." I sighed.

He stopped wiping and said, "Noona, you should not drink that much. I see you are alcohol intolerant."

I didn't know if he was trying to change the topic, "Taesung?"

"Hmm?"

"I want to know. Tell me what happened last night?" I requested.
