Chapter 27: 1 month

See, as soon as Oswald had finished his deal with Lilith, he didn't waste a second before quickly trying out the effects of the Growing demon potion on the Nine Hells Demonic Body art.

"Ahhh.."

After several minutes of refinement, Oswald exhaled a hot breath of air as his red skin slowly faded back to its original colour.

Oswald suddenly clenched his fists and smiled at his newfound power.

The rate at which his Nine Hells demonic body art progressed was doubled with the addition of the growing demon potion.

And it was not just that. As Oswald was refining his body, he realised that his Nine Hells Demonic body art seemed to have a strange interaction with the battle aura generated from a knight's breathing technique.

The two forces seemed to completely complement one another and, in doing so, sped up the generation with each party and sped up the cultivation of each aspect.

So with the complementary effects of the breathing technique and the Nine Hells Demonic body art further combined with the growing demon potion, Oswald had hoped to do something that had never been done outside of Legend.

Go from beginner to peak Knight apprentice in 3 months!

And Oswald's ambition didn't end there, his sights were set on the graduation test!

'I'm trash right?' thought Oswald as a slight sneer appeared on his lips

Oswald couldn't forget the humiliation he had received from the academy. The cold despair the previous Oswald felt as all his supposed teachers and people around him coldly threw him to the side. Only looking back at him to cast the occasional glance of disgust or even joy.

As Oswald remembered these cruel memories, he grit his teeth in frustration

'Good! I'll show you all what trash can really do!'

Oswald would not just attend the Graduation test, he would come first.

For the previous Oswald, for his family, and for himself, he would prove to the world that even without magic, Oswald Blakewell could not be looked down upon!

Oswald felt his blood surge at the thought of this, but he quickly managed to calm himself down.

Those grand plans and ambitions were all for the future. Now he was barely even qualified to call himself a beginner knight apprentice. If he wanted to do all this, he would first have to practice.

With this in mind, Oswald didn't hesitate. He quickly picked up his sword and began practising the Steel Knight breathing technique...

....

Like that, Oswald began his crazy rate and style of practising both his Transcendent Breathing technique and the Nine Hells Demonic body art, with each one progressing at an explosive rate.

Oswald continued this crazy style of practice and without even realising it, a month had gone by.

...

In the courtyard of the Blakewell family manor, two figures could be seen flickering across the yard

"Clang!"

A long sword clashed fiercely with a humongous battle axe as sparks were sent exploding across the field, but even with this, neither the young man nor the adult on either side decided to back down.

Suddenly, the young man's sword twirled as it slid right underneath the man's battleaxe, surging right towards the man's throat.

A slight smirk appeared on the young man's face as he admired his greatly improved sword technique, but suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a deep voice

"What are you smirking for? your attacks are still slow."

Oswald's body stiffened as he looked up to see the slightly evil smile of Fenon looking back at him.

'Fuck!'

Before Oswald could react, he felt a powerful force in his chest as he was sent hurtling across the ground.

"Young Master!"

"Young Master!"

Two cries erupted as both Lily and Mr Edgar rushed towards the side of the fallen Oswald with worry on their faces.

Mr Edgar was particularly affected and turned towards Fenon with an unpleasant frown on his face as he turned towards Fenon.

"Now Mr Fenon, It's true that you've been tasked with training the young master but you shouldn't be too fierce. I have to warn you that injuring the young master is a price even you can't afford to pay!" scalded Mr Edgar.

Despite facing the fierce reprimand of the Old man in front of him, Fenon didn't take it to heart.

Over the month he'd spent at the Blakewell manor, he had completely learned the temperament of this old man.

He was just an overprotective Old Grandpa!

No matter the injury Oswald sustained, whether small or large, the man would come rushing up to him with no fear of his Rank 3 Transcendent status just to give him an earful.

"Hahah! come on old man," laughed Fenon

"Me and you both know the Kid's tough enough to walk it off"

As Fenon spoke he just chuckled as he reached out to Oswald and lifted him cleanly off the floor like he was lifting a feather.

After patting him off, Fenon put him back on the floor as he commented,

"You really are a tough one boy, I just felt that your physique improved again! Damn! even the barbarians aren't this ridiculous!"

"What can I do? I'm talented," replied Oswald shamelessly.

As soon as Fenon heard this his mouth spasmed

'Tch! I just gave the kid another excuse to be cocky again!'

Over the past month, as he was teaching Oswald, Fenon had quickly come to terms with Oswald's shameless personality.

But Oswald didn't see a problem with this.

Wasn't he talented? Wasn't he capable? Then act like it!

Oswald could never understand why a lot of protagonists like to act low-key or deny their talent. Such things just end up defeating the purpose of practising to get stronger in the first place.

As Fenon looked at Oswald, he couldn't deny the boy's achievements.

"Boy, sometimes you truly do scare me. The progress I've seen from you is something I have never even heard about before in my life, much less seen."
