Chapter 16 Don't forget where you came from

(A/N okay I realized I've been a little selfish with this story so I'll let you guys choose

Should Louise join Diablo's harem or not, think about it.)

Wardes holds up his swords to the sky and prepares a spell, I could tell this one is going to be big because clouds are forming above us

"Parry this you CASUAL !" Wardes shouts, lightning from the clouds come down and coats his sword and then he redirects the lightning to my Minotaur

The Minotaur explodes because he isn't magic proof, and the lightning continues

into my direction

(Shit, if that lightning makes it to me it'll reflect back top him, he might die and things will get troublesome.) I thought to myself

Then the lightning suddenly changes the direction and goes over my had and tries my back

The lightning is deflected and crashes into a wall on the back of the building making a hole

People start to come out saying "Whats going on ? " "What was that crash ?" " Is there a fight between nobles ?"

"Everyone relax me and my accomplice were simply having a duel." Wardessaid trying to appease the sudden crowd

"MY BUILDING ! OH MY GOD!" A short man said who probably owned the building

"Relax kind sir, here take this bag of coins, this should be enough to repair the damages." Wardes said laughing and giving him a bag full of gold coins

The man's eyes lit up "Ugh..yes,yes,this should do it heh heh." The man just received probably twice as much as what he paid for the building itself

"You win this time Diablo." Wardes said with a look of determination, walking past me

"Hmph" I responded

Scene Change Third person

The sun was going down and Diablo was out at the balcony, staring into the sunset

(Sigh) Diablo

"Why are you sighing Diablo ?" Rem

(HOLY SHIT, how did she sneak up on me ? Okay acting surprised isn't cool.) Diablo thought to himself

Because being sneaked up on isn't cool for a Demon King Diablo had to play it off

"Oh...I was... just thinking." Diablo said trying to play off his embarrassment

"About ?" Rem

"(sigh) Although I do appreciate being here with Tiffa and Siesta, I also wish to see Rose, Krum, the guild master, and all of the others." Diablo

"So you miss them, you mean to say." Rem said with a eyebrow up almost as if she was accusing Diablo of something

"You can interpret my statement however you please." Diablo said

"Hmm." Rem smiled

"Do you think they're safe." Diablo said while looking into the sunset

"Of course. They have each other and not to mention Krum after all who is a Demon King." Rem

"Yes I know, I just don't like how things were left." Diablo

"It's not our fault Diablo, the king was a jerk for trying to trick us into playing into his scheme to exterminate the Kobolds just because they don't speak the language of the world, and you know how Louise was bullied and called "Zero". She didn't mean to summon us or "kidnap" us like you told her." Rem

(Diablo thought back to his original world where he was in so many words a "zero" because people treated him as if he didn't exist or wasn't a person. He thought back to what he said and how he acted towards Louise so far.)

Diablo only stood silent

" Was I too much." Diablo said

(A/N remember although Diablo has a seriously hard time expressing himself with others, those who have been around him long enough could actually understand these incomplete sentences he's always saying, except maybe Nobles because they never seem to learn )

"No, actually I was shocked that you held that in for as long as you did." Rem said bluntly

(Oi, what is that supposed to mean ? Are you implying that I'm some sort of hot head !?) Diablo said in his mind

"Don't take that in a bad way, it just means your not a coward...even to nobility, another one of your attractive traits of your personality." Rem said while turning her head trying to hide her red cheeks, before turning back to continue talking

"I'm sure we'll make it back someday, and I'm sure the others are fine as well." Rem said

(She's right...I just have to remain strong. I'm sure the others are fine without me) Diablo thought to himself

"Rem..." Diablo said

"Yes ?" Rem

"Thank you" Diablo said

"Your welcome Diablo." Rem said while smiling and blushing at the same time

"What a touching display between man and wife." ( sniff ) ( sniff ) Guiche said walking up while crying

"Were you eavesdropping !?" Rem said rosey faced and angry

"Only...( sniff ) a little bit." Guiche, still crying

"Truly touching partner." Derflinger said

"Shut up stupid sword !" Rem said

The next day at the weird tree

The group arrived at the pier at around 3:00 while the sun was about to go down

Diablo and Rem discovered the pier was actually probably the largest tree they will ever see in the rest of their lives

In fact Diablo compares it to to the Eiffel tower in France, oddly there wasn't a single body of water at the pier so Diablo wondered why it was called a pier

Scene change

The group had ordered two rooms in the piers rest inn and the Diablo, Rem, and Guiche explored the place, going there separate ways.

Wardes and Louise stayed in the room and rested

At around six Louise woke up from her nap to the sound of Wardes packing up

"What's going on Wardes ?" Louise said

"Your familiar and the others have left and went home, we must continue the mission without them." Wardes answered

"What !? But..." Louise

"No time for that the ship is sailing soon we must hurry." Wardes said leaving the room

Louise followed. The pair arrived at a large ship on the docks of the tree.

"Listen Louise...there is a rebellion secretly happening in Albion. There called "Reconquista", most of the royal family has been killed." Wardes said

Louise was shocked to the core

"Have things gotten that bad !" Louise exclaimed

"Yes, that's why it's imperative that we complete this mission." Wardes

Somewhere on a lower level of the tree on a patio

( R U M B L E )

"What is that ?" Rem

"An Earth quake !?" Guiche

Looking around Diablo found the source of the earth quack

It was Fouqet....again, in top of the same two

"Her again !" Derflinger said

"Hahaha, I've come to repay the favor of imprisoning me...by KILLING you." Fouqet

"Shouldn't you just be happy that Diablo stopped me from killing the first time." Rem said clearly annoyed

"DIE !" Fouqet said commanding the golem to squash us with a punch

Of course that wouldn't work though, Diablo cut the golem's arm off with Derflinger

Rem summoned five huge bulls, each just about 3x larger than a normal bull

The five bulls charged at the golem and brought it down and trampled it

Just then a crowd came with torches

"What is that ruckus ?" What's going on ?" People in the crowd were saying

Also two girls on a dragon also showed up

"Kirche....thot." Rem called surprised

"What is a thot ? Kirche yelled hopping off of the dragon landing perfectly

"Oh well, I think I distracted you enough." Fouqet said, then activated a flight spell and took off

Then when Diablo was about to chase after Fouqet, he saw a large flying ship going over their heads

"I see..." Diablo said

Afterwards

"Who was that handsome man anyways, it took us so long to track you guys." Kirche said folding her arms and slightly blushing

(A/N Bruh...see what I mean )

The group went to the front desk man who checks people in to the inn

"Have I seen a pair of nobles, one with pink hair you say ...they left out on the last ship, said the people that came with them went back home." The front desk man told them

Sitting outside Diablo said "So Wardes is a traitor..." Diablo said starting to worry about Louise

Everyone's, except for Rem eyes bulged...well also Derflinger because he doesn't have eyes, but he was still surprised

"You think Wardes is a traitor ?" Derflinger

"Of course... Fouqet said it herself "I distracted you enough." " Diablo quoted

( R U M B L E )

"Fouqet" Everyone except Diablo exclaimed

Looking over what they seen was

"VERDUNDE !?" Everyone except Diablo exclaimed

The next morning

Scene change Outside of an abandoned chapel

Wardes knocked on the chapel's door

"So this is the place ?" Louise asked

"Yes" Wardes said while opening the door

"But it's abandoned." Louise said

"So far !" Wardes said while drawing the sword at the sudden appearence of give or take twenty knights wearing metal mask on their heads so you can't see any of their faces

The knight that seemed to be their leader approached Wardes and Louise and pointed his sword at them

"Who are you ? How did you find this place ?" Lead knight

"We were sent by Princess Henrietta." Louise

"Henrietta...HAH couldn't you think of a better lie than that !" Said the knight sarcastically

"But we really are look." said Louise holding out the ring that the Princess gave to her

"That ring..." The knight said while extending his hand that held another ring with a silver gem on it

When he brought his ring inches away from hers, light started flashing from the rings changing colors. From red to yellow to green to blue and so on.

"What is happening !?" Louise asked confused

"That ring is the ring of water, my ring is the ring of wind, when both rings are brought together, it creates a rainbow effect." Said the knight taking off his helmet

He had blonde hair, blue eyes, and smooth white skin

"Prince Wales !" Louise

"You will have to excuse my rudeness from earlier Ms.Francois . We will have to go into the other room and talk."

Scene change Chapels kitchen area

"So Henrietta is going to marry the king if Gallia, huh ?" Wardes says looking up at the ceiling

"Yes." Louise

"I see..." Wales said turning around looking at the letter

"Is things really that bad here with the Reconquista ?" Louise said worried

Prince Wales turned glared at her for a second before turning back " Haven't anyone told you before that you shouldn't go asking for info on other peoples business."

"I'm sorry but..." Louise

" ( Sigh ) Yes, all of the royal family has been killed except for me. I finally got info on the requista, their leaders are using the nobles of this country to start a rebellion, ultimately the nobles are only puppets." Wales said

Louise was shocked hearing this conspiracy, too shocked to respond

"Don't worry Louise, I'll protect my country...even if I have to die for it." Wales said with a reassuring smile

Afterwards

Louise met Wardes outside of the chapel and said

" We have delivered the letter, now we have to report the mission to the Princess." Louise said

"Wait, whats the rush Louise ? Why don't we get married here Louise ? Wales is the Prince I'm sure he wouldn't mind holding the sermon." Wardes said grabbing Louise's hand

"But, we have to complete the mission." Louise said pulling away from Wardes

"We could take over the world you and I Louise." Wardes said now grabbing Louise entirely

Flashback Louise crying on the boat with Wardes again

( Cries ) Louise

"Louise...their's no reason to cry, no matter what comes I'll protect you"

Flashback ends

"Your not the man you used to be." Louise says breaking away from Wardes, and realizing what he really is

" Time changes people." Wardes says

Louise tries to run to the Prince of Wales but is cut off by a scary looking nobleman

with a George Washington style haircut that is blonde, pointing his fist at Louise with a ring with a purple gem on to it

" I got you ! Child of the void." He said

( I can't move ) Louise thought to herself because she couldn't talk either

Back in the Chapel later that day, the sermon for the marriage was being held.

The noble with the paralyzing ring stood in the group of knights that was present discreetly still using the ring on Louise, smiling like a mad man

( Why can't I break free of this. ) Louise thought with the veil over her face

"And do you promise to love and take care of this woman for the rest of your life ?" Said Wales reciting the wedding vows

"I will treasure and cherish this woman forever." Wardes said

Louise could only stand there without any expression on her face

The chapels door was kicked down

"You caused me a lot of trouble Wardes." E N T E R D I A B L O and Rem

The blonde ring-holder broke concentration and Louise broke free

"Diablo, Rem !" Louise exclaimed with tears in her eyes

"Guards arrest that weird cos players." Wales said looking at Diablo's horns and Rems ears and tail

"No Prince Wales don't arrest them, Wardes is...." Rem's mouth was covered by Wardes hand

"Wardes what is the meaning of this !?" Wales said on high alert

Wardes quickly stepped to Prince Wales, channeled his lightning magic to his sword and stabbed Wales in the chest

"Damn... you.... reconquista." Wales said as his life left his body

Louise shrieked

Wardes used a wind spell and blew Louise and all the other knights away

Diablo used his own wind spell to catch and carry Louise to his side

Turning is attention to Diablo he said "I told that wench to finish you off, but I guess you are too strong for her huh ?"

Diablo only stared at him

"How did you even catch up to me that fast, it hasn't even been 24 hours yet and there is no ships leaving at this time to this area today?" Wardes asked concerned on how impeccable this timing seems

Knowing that Diablo wasn't in the mood to answer Rem spoke up

"Guiches mole has been following us since we left the school, it took us all night following that mole here."

Outside the chapel Guiche was hugging Verdunde in the grass

"My cute Verdunde never forgets the scent of a jewel."

Back in the chapel

"What did you think would happen to you once I found you ?" Diablo asked annoyed

"It doesn't matter. " Wardes said and pointed his glowing sword at Diablo, Rem and now Louisee who joined them

"What do you think is going to happen if you attack." Diablo said annoyed

Wardes activated a spell through his sword and out came multiple streaks of lightning, which is actually called "Sheet lightning" and attacked the group

Diablo didn't want to risk Rem, and Louise getting hurt, not to mention the knights in the room so he used the (Water Wall) spell to block the spell then turned the wall of water into ice and hurled it right at Wardes

Wardes penetrated the ice with his "lightning rod" and charged straight through,

only to be face to face from Diablo who was pointing a glowing index finger at Wardes stomach

"Pierce" Diablo said activating a ki skill, this skill shoots a piercing key laser at the opponent or in Wardes case, through the opponent

"GAH" Wardes

Wardes dropped to both knees and struggled to keep his sword in hand, blood oozed from the corners of his mouth

Wardes, wasn't a captain of a sky legion for no apparent reason, Wardes used wind magic to create distance since Diablo wasn't going for the killing blow, and took out a potion to heal himself

Getting back to his feet he said "What was that ? That wasn't magic, unless....VOID Magic !?"

"No...Not even close." Diablo

"Then how ?" Wardes asked but still on guard

"That is a skill that non-magic users called "martial artist" used back in my previous world before I was transported here." Diablo

After receiving his answer Wardes turned to Louise and said "If I can't have you I'll just make you disappear." Wardes said putting his sword in the ground sending his lightning everywhere

The building shook and a tall statue came down, a fire started, and a tall statue nearly fell on Louise and Rem, before Diablo quickly reached them and caught the statue.

"Clear out...Evacuate !" The lead knights were shouting

The fire had turned almost inescapable...for someone who doesn't use magic that is

Using the boots of sky dance Diablo grabbed the two lolis and burst through the ceiling

"That didn't end well did it ?" Said Kirche who met

them in the sky with Tabitha on the dragon familiar

"Here take her." Diablo responded

"Will do Monsieur." Kirche said taking Louise

The five flew off into the moon lit sky....without Guiche
