At least the plan worked

On the moonless night exactly at 11:30 when everyone is sleeping peacefully in the mansion. Suddenly one of the doors open of a room on the second floor.

Peeking her head out Sera watches the hallway quietly. Then seeing nobody she goes to the third floor where all the boys are staying.

Not seeing Alen anywhere she wanders on the third floor for a bit. But when she was walking past a room suddenly the door opened.

Then a hand comes out grabs her shoulder and quickly drags her into the room.

"Ah!"

Surprised she was about to scream loudly but a hand covered her mouth.

"Shh, it's me, Alen."

After hearing Alen's voice Sera slightly calms down and then looks at him. After adjusting to the darkness she sees Alen clearly but now she notices how close they are standing.

Sera blushes and her face becomes bright red. She then looks at Alen with her eyes full of mist hoping he would make a move.

But Alen doesn't and seeing that she has calmed down he lets her go. Although Sera looks tempting now is not the correct time to sort this out.

'Now's time for step two.'

Alen then looks at the clock it's almost 12:00. He looks at Sera and says, "Let's go."

Quietly opening the door Alen goes in front of one of the middle rooms where Eric is staying. Sera obediently follows Alen. Placing his ear near the door Alen listens quietly. By the sound of it, Eric should be asleep. Right at 12:00 he should get the notification.

'In just a couple of minutes, Eric will be dead.'

The powder that Alen mixed with the dishes was not exactly poison. Alen already asked Lana if a system holder gets poisoned will it show on the status category and Lana said it will. So even if Alen had Sera to purify the poison the target would be alerted before the poison started acting.

The name of the white powder was Linis powder. It's a common ingredient to balance out any potion and it's also harmless to eat as it will naturally dissolve in your body after ten hours. But this harmless powder can become deadly if mixed with a common flower scent named Dandal flower. You will die instantly if you don't have poison immunity. Even though the Dandal flower is beautiful the scent of it is only released every midnight exactly at 12:00 and after some minutes it stops. Alen got this information by going to the alchemist's shop.

Many people don't go to the alchemist shop so when he entered and inquired about how to make a simple health potion. The owner who was an experienced potion maker saw the innocent look on the boy's face and told Alen generously about the steps to make a health potion. He also told Alen that though its chances are low he should be careful to keep the Linis powder and Dandal flower apart. Alen then bought some ingredients to make a health potion and left. Although he told Alen how to make a health potion seeing the innocent and curious look on the boy's face he also unknowingly told him how to make a deadly poison. Never in his life would he have imagined that Alen would actually use this deadly poison to kill his classmate.

'Now I just need to wait for some time after it's 12:00 before entering Eric's room and erasing the poison from his body' Alen thinks mentally.

"Oh, so this is Eric's room," Sera whispers to herself.

But hearing this Alen stops what he was doing and turns around to look at Sera and asks,

"You didn't know which room was Eric's?" Alen bows his head a bit and says to Sera near her ear gently because she is slightly shorter than Alen.

Somewhat startled Sera softly replies to Alen because she doesn't want to be loud, "I didn't come to this floor because none of the girls entered the 3rd floor and I didn't want to get caught asking where Eric's room was. I also didn't know which room you were in so I was surprised back there."

Alen lips twitch but he knows that if Sera was caught asking where Eric's room was it would be suspicious but if she asked for Alen's room it wouldn't be a problem because everyone knows about their vague relationship.

Nevertheless, he gets to the main point,"Then Sera how did you complete your task."

The task he told Sera after coming from shopping was that Sera would go to the garden outside their mansion. Take one Dandal flower and when no one is looking place it in Eric's room.

Now it's past 12:00 and so if Sera correctly did her task the complete mission notification will be coming any minute.

Sera slightly grins as if she has used some never before seen tactic.

"He he although I didn't know which was Eric's room I collected exactly eighteen Dandal flowers and put them in each of the eighteen boy's rooms."

Hearing this Alen becomes stunned and he simultaneously looks at his wristwatch which he is still wearing. It is already past 12:10 so that means.

Seeing this Alen isn't that surprised because he already knew this would happen. When he was about to open the door to get in.

*Ding*

"....."

Alen blankly looks at his system interface, 'Well at least the plan worked successfully.'
