Sleepless Nights

After Kendra got out of the shower, she put on her powder pink silk slip dress from La Perla and climbed into her bed. She pulled the satin duvet over her as she closed her eyes. Thoughts flowed in her head, How can you control it? What are you sitting here waiting when he's waiting? What will you do when he's found you? She tossed and turned, trying to calm the hurricane in her head but nothing worked. Kendra then opened her eyes but all she saw was rainbow? No no, calm down calm down… She shut her eyes again, squeezing until she was back to normal. Overwhelmed by all of what was happening to her, she felt a single tear fall down her cheek. She knew she wasn't alone but in darkness… that's all she ever known. She hugged her pillow still crying and eventually she fell into a dreamless sleep.
