"Master, you're back."
Standing beneath the grand villa, Medea greeted him with a warm, radiant smile.
This sorceress from ancient Greek mythology could never have imagined that betrayal would once again await her. In the trust she thought she'd secured, she was destined to find heart-wrenching despair.
"…Medea, it's over."
At the doorway, Tomoya Aki smiled back, his gaze filled with a cold, ruthless glint.
Now, having gained the blessing of the Heroic King, Gilgamesh, he no longer had any need for this useless Servant. A joke of a Caster who couldn't even summon a dragon! The only Servant he desired was one that would lead him to victory.
"Master, what do you mean by that?!"
Medea sensed that something was wrong. Her eyes widened in alarm, her hands trembling as a wave of panic gripped her.
Fate, why do you have to subject me to this again…?
All I wish for is to return to my homeland…
Am I not even... allowed the right to dream?
She wept silently in her heart, feeling a deep sorrow as the wheels of fate turned against her once more.
"Snap—."
Tomoya scoffed, easily tearing off the delicate charm hanging around his neck.
Medea clutched at her chest, her whole body trembling as her gaze softened with a hint of sadness.
That charm had been something she made with her own hands, crafted to bring her Master, luck and protection.
The man no longer masked his intentions. He raised his wrist with a smirk, revealing the bright red Command Seal etched upon it.
"By the Command Seal, end your own life, Caster!"
"…"
A scarlet glow flickered as an invisible force surged into Medea's body.
Her eyes glistened with tears, but she remained silent, her hands glowing as they morphed into an ornate dagger.
This weapon, forged from her tragic legend as a betrayed sorceress, was her Noble Phantasm — Rule Breaker, a flawless anti-magic weapon.
It held little offensive power but could nullify any magic, though it had no effect against other Noble Phantasms.
"Hah… the anti-magic dagger. Did Caster actually use it to take down that scumbag, Aki?"
In another realm, Yae Ninomiya, the Nine-Headed Dragon, gaped, feeling a twinge of dark satisfaction.
Who wouldn't want to see that deadbeat drop dead?
Especially when, in his smug, overconfident moment, he met an unexpected betrayal, left wide-eyed in disbelief as he was taken down.
Just the thought of it was satisfying!
"Poor Sister Medea…"
A small girl with striking violet hair dabbed at the corners of her eyes, wiping away tears of sympathy.
After hearing Medea's anguished thoughts, Renge Miyanaga couldn't help but feel compassion.
"Scumbags deserve to die!"
Kagura Tsuchimiya, a dark-haired girl, let out a cold snort.
Had she lived in that world, she'd have done everything in her power to strike down this plague of a man!
Even if she had an appetite for mischief, she was still Japan's famed exorcism prodigy.
…
"Pshk—."
The dagger pierced deep into her chest as Medea's eyes welled with sorrow, and blood began to pour.
"Master, why would you treat me like this? Was it something I did wrong?"
"…If you want someone to blame, then blame yourself for being so useless!"
Tomoya spat, then viciously kicked Medea in the face.
"Thud!"
The beautiful cloaked woman fell to the ground, coughing blood as her face turned pale.
Showing no remorse, the man sneered, taunting her: "You pitiful fox, you pathetic woman. Summoned with the weak Caster class and yet unable to wield even the famed Golden Fleece — how could I not discard you?"
"All your talents were probably wasted seducing men, honing your skills in the bedroom."
"I…"
Medea faltered, her view of Tomoya shattering in an instant.
Disappointment filled her eyes as she stared at the vile man before her, clutching Rule Breaker in her hand, her grip wavering.
Despite her kind heart, Medea still hesitated to take his life.
But Tomoya soon forced her decision.
He stared intently at his Servant, jealousy flaring so fiercely that he could've ground his molars to dust.
Only in this final moment of supposed victory could he unleash the hatred buried deep within his heart.
"To be honest, ever since I summoned you, I haven't been able to stand you."
"You — a treacherous witch — dare to possess such profound magical mastery!"
"I spent months building a grand magical workshop, cruelly draining the life force of a thousand children to squeeze out a mere thumb-sized crystal of magical energy.
"But with a mere flick of your finger, you can conjure a crystal the size of a palm."
"I require at least a few seconds to chant my spells, yet you can unleash high-speed godly incantations without a word."
"My magic bullets only scratch walls, yet yours leave a wasteland stretching a hundred meters."
"How is that fair?!!"
"If I were the one with divine-level magic, I'd have conquered the world by now. Only I, Tomoya Aki, am worthy of that kind of power!"
"Power."
"Even if I taught you, you wouldn't learn… useless! So d*mn useless!"
"No wonder Jason abandoned you, foolish woman… utterly foolish!"
"Enough—!!"
Medea shouted angrily; the mention of Jason's name had struck a nerve.
She was once the princess of Colchis, she had abandoned her homeland and family, entrusting her happiness to that scoundrel Jason. But after ten years, he grew bored of her and discarded her to marry another.
Since then, her life was burdened by sorrow, carrying memories of love and grief to her grave, forever barred from returning to her homeland.
Now, Tomoya Aki had reopened old wounds, mercilessly sprinkling salt on them. She had no intention of showing kindness or forgiving her wretched master anymore.
Viewers watched Medea with deep pity, some feeling a sense of satisfaction—at last, Tomoya Aki was about to meet his demise.
Across the observer's network, comments flooded in as the audience, enraged, spoke up for Caster.
"Medea always meets scumbags… poor her, QAQ."
"Don't cry, Medea! I'll lend you my figurine to cheer you up!"
"She may be known as a traitor, but really, she was betrayed first and only sought vengeance in return."
"I remember learning about Greek myths. Medea's story symbolized the fight of the oppressed."
"True, though Medea isn't exactly kind in the myths."
"Doesn't matter—compared to that scumbag Tomoya Aki, she's practically a saint!"
"Good point…"
"I already liked her for her looks, and now I like her even more!"
"Go, Medea, take down that scumbag piece of a sh*t Aki!"
