Chapter 5: Why are you so hard headed?

Knoxx POV

I woke up at 10 am.

I opened my room's door and a hallway revealed after my eyes. I walked straight and saw our staircase leading to a small living room. And then a small kitchen at the back.

I saw my father watching television. He greeted me and I greeted back.

"I'm done with my brunch, you should eat too."

I nodded lazily since I'm still sleepy. If you're wondering where is my mother, then don't bother. My mother died after giving birth to me. And I am just the only child.

I was eating silently when my father turned off the TV. Well, not long ago when I noticed something in him. There's this familiar commercial model that everytime she'll show up in the TV, he'll always turn the TV off.

I wonder why...

It was already 6am when we finished fishing. I helped my father go to fishing every night. That's one of our source of income, fishing.

My father also owned more than ten boats and our neighbors would rent it so that they can earn and we can also.

After that I'll sleep. I'll wake up either 10am or 11am. I'll eat and wash my clothes after that and then at 2pm I'll get ready to work.

While hanging my washed clothes outside, I saw a girl struggling to walk on the spiky rock formations. I stared blankly at her. What the hell is she doing here?! Damn! And she's not with her bodyguards!

When I saw her fall in her knees, I didn't think twice anymore . I walked towards her and held her waist and legs so that I can lift her up.

"Let me help you, Miss President."

She didn't say anything so I took that as a yes. I lifted her up and walked to the cottage in front of our house . She snaked her arms around my neck. She winced in pain. I heard her curse. I looked at her bleeding knees.

I felt her soft and delicate hands around my neck making me jerked a bit. And her boobs slightly brushing my chest making me feel hot. I closed my eyes to control my emotions. Damn it! I gritted my teeth.

"You shouldn't be walking alone here Miss President. Specially in a place like this."

I tried to scold her while caressing the sides of her bleeding knees, hoping it can lessen the pain. Her breathing hitched. I clenched my jaw.

She didn't reply so I tried to look at her only to find out that she is intently staring at me.

I equalled her gaze. She looks so gentle. Even though she looks cold, and stern but her face is so gentle. Her pointed nose and almond eyes screams for elegance. The smooth valley in her lower lip is like an invitation to kiss her.

I was drowned by my thoughts when she finally spoke.

"Where are we going?"

I looked at the cottage in front of us. In our right side was our house and in our left side is the beach.

"I'm bringing you to the cottage. I can't let you walk again in that rock formation without tending your bleeding knee."

I said coldly, remembering her stupid move. I put her down on the cottage chair.

"Stay here. I'll just get the medicine kit. Don't move or do any stupid moves again. "

I entered our house and immediately found the medicine kit in our small bath room. I didn't see my father. Maybe taking a nap. I shrugged my shoulders and continue to walk outside the house.

I was dumbfounded to see her trying so hard to walk towards the rock formations.

"What the hell are you doing?"

I shouted and she stiffened. I walked towards her and tried to scoop her in my arms. She held my hand to stop me.

I looked at her and then to her small hands trying to stop me. When she noticed it, she pulled her hands off from me and looked away.

"I'm going back to the hotel. I just really wanna see what is behind the rock formations."

She said coldly. I knitted my brows.

"I will mend your bleeding first. And also, it's better to walk in the main road-"

I was cut off by her soft enticing lips.

"No need. I can handle myself-"

"But-"

"No buts."

She cutted me off again. I tried to hold her arms again. She jerked.

"I said I can handle! I don't need your help!"

I closed my eyes. Breathe, Knoxx. Breathe. That is just a kid. Be patient.

I tried to hold her arms once again but then again, she rejected it.

"Why are you so hard headed?!"

I spat angrily. I can feel my veins showing. Her eyes widened. Shocked from my outburst. She fell silent. I cursed under my breath.

"I'm sorry. Just, please...let me help you."

I said calmly this time. This time, she didn't say anything anymore and she let me hold her hand. When we finally passed the rock formations and reach their hotel beach front, she simply said, "Thank you." and walked out.
