Journey To The Wicked City

Ezra was still unsure with what the serpent has told him to make it even more doubting and unbelievable is the lack of information he was given, first of all there were certain questions in his mind. Who is this angel who wants to bless him? Why was this angel so far? And what was the city of the wicked? All these questions tormented Ezra the worst part of it all is that he couldn't shake this feeling that he had to do it fast and not slack of.

Jason came to visit him.

"Hey buddy, wow you look awful like you haven't slept your whole life" Jason said.

"Yeah I can't sleep a wink, because" Ezra stopped himself before he spoke the whole truth.

"Are you sure that you are okay?" Jason worried.

"Yeah sorry, I guess my mind is everywhere" Ezra chuckles awkwardly.

The two sat together and played a game of cards, and Jason as a good friend he was, he kept Ezra up to speed everything that was happening from the intense training and the preparation for something he wasn't certain of.

"Whoa am I glad I'm in here" Ezra joked around.

"Yeah lucky you" Jason said.

"Hey uh, can I ask you something? It's something that's been bothering me so I'm curious about it" Ezra feeling embarrassed for saying this.

"Yeah sure, I don't see why not" Jason got comfortable.

"Do you know of a place called the city of the wicked?" Ezra asked.

"City of the wicked? What about it?" Jason shocked.

"Oh it's just that since I've been here I've been going through some books, I just bumped into something called the city of the wicked" Ezra trying to be convincing.

"Okay" Jason not sure if he believes him or not.

Jason told Ezra what the wicked city was called a place of sinners and in the Holy Place, a place like that wasn't really allowed to be called by it's true name. It was banned for some reason, but this city was known by everyone and all who knew history and the stories told by the Holy Book aka the Bible.

The wicked city was a city of horrifying and bad tales, it's story included the tower of Babel which Ezra, Jason and the rest of them team were quite familiar with apparently the wicked city was a place of evil, a place were mankind who became greedy and wanted to play God resided, from the false worshippers, false Gods and false prophets and sinners. Like Sodom and Gomorrah it met the wrath of God.

That was the information Ezra received from Jason, sure it wasn't much but it was still better than the riddle told by the serpent. Ezra didn't really know anything he needed to know about the city, and he couldn't be mad at Jason even if he wanted too... Jason told him as much as he can.

"Well thanks for the information" Ezra kinda disappointed.

"Sorry I couldn't be much help" Jason gets up and leaves.

Everything was still a mystery to Ezra and honestly if he wasted time busy trying to figure out the riddle given to him. He wouldn't be doing much anyway, so nightfall came after his attempt of sleepwalking Ezra was now guarded and watched like a hawk.

The guard was not sitting not that far away from him, sleeping in a chair Ezra scouted to see if there was still anyone else awake, no one was even Layla and her team were out cold. Ezra takes a few things like food and supplies and puts them in a bag, puts on some camouflage clothes so he can blend in with the night. Then he sneaked out.

He did make it out of the sacred grounds of the Holy Place, he walked into one of the most beautiful garden ever seen, a garden that it was forbidden for anyone to enter even the angels yet he didn't mind just passed through. On the other side of the garden there was a big open space, it's good to say he was lost. Ezra had a piece of map that wasn't even a real map just his awfully bad drawn map.

He stood there for quite some time and kept looking at the map over and over hoping to find something at least, a crow flew by and landed right on his feet. It was strange for a crow it kept on staring at Ezra, when he ignored it, it poked his feet.

"Ouch unless you know a the way and you don't mind guiding me, that would be great" Ezra talking to the crow he must have felt like he was loosing his mind.

The crow caws and flies of Ezra puts away his hand drawn map, walks behind the crow. The crow picks up speeds forcing Ezra to pick-up his pace too and starts running, he didn't even realize where he was going let alone notice where he was. He kept his focus on the crow, finally the crows flies a little bit high and disappears leaving Ezra on his own. Feeling lost.

"Seriously?" Ezra complained.

When he started to pay attention, he looked around and found himself in a dry land in a distance not far not even near him, there was a tall building he hoped. It's structure was unclear but from the looks of it, that building looked like it was pointy on top with a frame structure of a volcano.

Ezra took a deep breath and began to run, he ran and kept running if he was in a race or a marathon he would have received a medal by now. Sadly for him, in this scenario it wasn't the case Ezra ran for miles and miles that's how it felt for him.

He got tired and wasn't able to run anymore, his breath was running out when he stopped for a break. He noticed that the building seems like it wasn't as close as he would have expected, it was still far like he didn't even move. It was either that or the damn building kept on moving far away from him.
