From Teammates To Friends

It was the end for Ezra by the looks of it the wave that he felt in the air was Goliath's punch heading straight for his face probably jaw, he was weak and to tired to even move out of the way and the unbearable aching pain in his stomach, the mysterious wound didn't do him any favors.

Ezra was now bleeding all over everyone who was watching knew that in that exact moment the giants would actually win, nobody can break their winning streak not even mysterious powered, reject and impure boy right here. So in short nothing about him was special.

They were wrong everyone was.

Goliath's punch was coming for Ezra and everyone already knew what damage that punch would leave to Ezra it's just that they simply couldn't look away.

Goliath's punch collided with something but it wasn't Ezra, it was a shield someone was holding it but who because of the dust that settled around blocking to see who was there standing to Ezra's rescue.

"Man I've been wanting to do that all week" Valkyria smiles as the dust smoke settles down.

"Can you stand?" Jason checks up on Ezra who was already down.

"What are you doing here?" Ezra asked Jason as he was helping him stand up.

"You really thought I was going to stand aside while you have fun, nah" Jason replies.

As the dust completely disappears Ezra wasn't all by himself now, his teammates were surrounding him. Forming a circle with him in the center of the circle.

Ezra was surprised by all this he knew that they were teammates but he didn't think that they would go this far for him just him.

"You guys are all here? What are you doing here? And why are you doing this?" Ezra in disbelief.

"You really thought you were going to do this all by yourself?" said Jason.

"Yeah Bringer we can't let you have all the fun and glory, while showing off we also have skills and talents" Valkyria confessing.

"Yeah plus we ain't just teammates we are friends, aren't we?" said Damian.

That was really a beautiful moment Ezra never expected to hear this from them they weren't no longer just teammates, they were friends now and that meant something.

"Uh guys I'd hate to ruin this beautiful moment but angry giants are looking at us like we are dinner" Sarah pointed.

No one really knows what happened but the giants were different, from the normal giants to hungry giants there was something off about them. They had this evil demeanor about them, if they were anime you would see their eyes glow red and something like purple steam coming out of them. And their teeth became sharp and deadly.

"Guys I know I'm not an expert on giant evolution, but do they have to look at us like that? Like we are freshly roasted chicken?" Damian kinda freaked out.

The giants weren't playing just to test their strength and skills, judging from their faces and eyes they were hungry and the children were the dinner. Goliath kept hitting Valkyria's shield it ended up breaking apart. Goliath roared his spit ended on Valkyria's face.

The other giants just started pumbling the kids, luckily they all had shields for protection these giants were out of order. This wasn't a harmless game anymore this war to the dead.

The shields were a good affect but how long were they going to protect them, they all gathered and formed a formation that would buy them some time hopefully. They got under the unbreakable steel shields.

"Guys what the hell is going on?" Damian demands an answer.

"I don't know guys but whatever is going on these shields won't protect us for that long" Sarah said.

Goliath and his giant buddies were busy hitting the shields, and it was working cause they were starting to crack the giants kept pounding and pounding one shield that Sarah was using as protection finally broke. One of the giant saw this and he saw an opportunity, he started to pull the shield.

"Guys please help!" Sarah cried for help.

Things were going out of hand no one knew what to do and what not to do, where to close and not to close Ezra was still in a bad shape not only were his rips bleeding but he was also bleeding internally. Yet again the mysterious cut felt to get more painful by the second.

Everyone dived under Sarah's shield to try and hold it down so the giant wouldn't succeed, out of five normal ordinary kids only one giant was giving them a run for their money. And wasn't even the strongest of them all it was the shortest and scrawniest in all of giants.

"Let go!" The scrawny short giant keeps on pulling the shield.

"No! Keep on holding on guys" Jason encouraged them.

The more the shield was being fought for the more it was cracking apart, finally the giant managed to rip the shield off Sarah. He saw her just when he reaches to grap her, Ezra fastly pulls to him to get her in. Then they go back to the formation.

Like a turtle when it goes back inside it's dark shell that's exactly what the kids did.

"Thank you" Sarah looks at Ezra in a way she never looked at him before.

"Okay you are out of danger now focus" Valkyria saw how she looked at him then she stopped her.

Ezra was trying yet struggling to bare and hide the pain from his newly found friends, he. He touched his stomach.

"Ah" he flinches in pain.

Jason notices him again then this time he asks "are you sure you okay?" Jason worried.

"Yeah I'm fine it's just my ribs" Ezra responds with a lie.

"Okay let me check" Jason leans in to check Ezra.

"No!" Ezra blocks him with his hand.

That neglection that Ezra and Jason caused, came with not a good thing. One of the shields open a space slowly, then Goliath pulls one of them out.
