Students

"Are you coming out, or will you keep following me?" Brandon asked as he stopped in the middle of the street.

He had left the inn early with his mask as always, and after finding an opportunity to take it off, he did.

He hadn't been walking for long when he felt someone following him. He didn't think much of it and decided to keep walking, but he was already annoyed, and he was sure the person following him was doing it on purpose.

A girl with a white uniform and well-defined hips walked towards him. It was none other than the Asian girl 'Chen Mei.'

"So it was you," he said, losing all interest after seeing who was approaching him.

"What do you mean by that?" she said, somewhat angry. No one ignored her as much as Brandon did, as if she didn't exist.

Brandon wanted to leave, but he remembered that he wanted to know why the students were here after the free hunting group had left a few days ago. "What are you doing here?" he said.

Chen Mei smiled and said, "Now you're interested, huh? If you kneel down and beg me, I can tell you." She replied.

"Forget it, I almost forgot that you and your group have some kind of mental problem," he said as he walked away and waved goodbye.

"Wait!" Chen Mei shouted. This shout even made some of the people passing around them look at them. She had realized this and walking towards Brandon, took him by the wrist and led him to another place.

"Oh, now the princess is out there kidnapping people, interesting," he said with a smile. This time he spoke with more confidence as he knew he had been hunting and could easily fight her.

Thinking about this, he looked at his left wrist and noticed that it marked the number '113'. He was surprised because he could remember that he wasn't that strong.

'Sure, the rich have it easier,' he thought.

"I thought you were someone more interesting, but for you to be used as a pig too, you joined the free hunt without thinking much, right?" Chen Mei said arrogantly.

Brandon didn't pay much attention to her tone and asked, "What do you mean?"

Chen Mei smiled and thought, 'If I keep going like this, I'll have him under my control soon.' Then she spoke, "Hmm, you act all important, and look at the situation you got yourself into. How about if you do me a favor, I'll tell you."

"Pass," Brandon immediately replied. He didn't know what this person could ask of him, so he preferred not to accept it.

"Why, why not?" She thought that Brandon didn't like her attitude, or he wasn't even attracted to her.

"Anyone else can give me answers, and I can reach my own conclusions. Besides, if you brought me here to beg you, you're wasting your time."

Chen Mei was stunned. Nothing she said seemed to attract Brandon.

"Hey, isn't that Brandon scum? I thought he had already committed suicide," said a voice.

Brandon didn't have to think much to know who spoke. It was James, who after looking everywhere for the 'Masked Devil,' hadn't found him.

(Note: James is the same classmate as Brandon from elementary school)

James saw the person Brandon was talking to and quickly approached and said, "Miss Chen Mei, nice to meet you. I didn't know you would be in a place like this. Would you mind accompanying our group to hunt? I am proud to say we are the best in the area."

"Say that we're the best in the area," Chen Mei had heard everything they said and looked at Brandon. He didn't have a pleasant look, but he didn't seem too angry either.

After stealing the tattoo from the group, he felt great. In fact, he had never felt so relieved as he did at that moment, so he wasn't as bothered by the group anymore, but he still didn't forgive them.

"Sorry, I'm talking to my friend here. Besides, I heard that the 'Red Devil' humiliated you and he seems to be powerful. It would be better to join the most powerful person," he said.

James looked at Brandon as if it were his fault that Chen Mei rejected them. "I understand that you don't want to come with us, but being with this scum would only damage your reputation," he said, referring to Brandon.

"Who I decide to talk to is none of your business. Get out of here now and I'll pretend you never spoke to me," Chen Mei responded angrily.

Looking at Brandon, James said, "I hope I don't see you outside of the shelter, or it will be the end for you."

Brandon almost laughed out loud. "Is that the only line you know?"

"Thanks, if you need help at any time, don't hesitate to ask, but nothing about being your slave or anything like that," he replied.

"Boring," Chen Mei pouted. "Why didn't you say anything? From your energy level, I can tell you're much stronger than the last time I saw you."

Brandon was surprised. He didn't know what the Chen's power was, but it seemed they could calculate people's power just by seeing the energy they release. Moreover, how could she see his energy?

"It's none of your business. By the way, where is the student group heading now?" he replied.

Looking at him with fury in her eyes, she could only sigh. "We're going to the deadly forest, where they took you guys."

Brandon didn't need any more information, so he left. Only an idiot wouldn't understand what was going on. He now understood why Derek had put such a face the last time he mentioned free hunting.

Thinking about that, he wondered how they were doing. He didn't think they could die so easily, and they seemed calm despite knowing what was going to happen.

"The students were brought to the shelter and then taken to the free hunting area, while the others were taken directly to the forest. I can almost confirm that there wasn't a single official student in my group. They used us to show these students that only by being part of the army and protected by them could they survive. How foolish," he thought.

Thinking about this, Brandon looked at his bracelet. He almost forgot about it because he hadn't used it much.

[I've analyzed the bracelet and it has a detonation rune if you try to remove it]

He knew this bracelet wasn't normal, as it remained the same even after transforming into his elemental body.

Directing his digitized power, he was able to convert the place where the bracelet was placed into data, but this time the bracelet wasn't tied, it came out of his arm and fell to the ground.

His control of his ability was also more fluid, and he could even understand more about it. That's why he was able to expel the bracelet.

"Let's see how this group develops and what the Pandora school has to offer," he thought with a smile as he put on his mask and disappeared into the crowd.
