Burn the witch 2.

"Burn the witch!! Burn them all!!!" the chants of the crowd grew louder. All though they seemed to put on a bold font, they were terror stricken.

Morana who held her daughter with her bruised hand sent balls of scarlet flame towards the men whom her husband had sent to execute her. They all shrieked as they tried to put out the flame that was consuming them.

"Guards!!! Where are the others?" Oziel yelled when he realized that the situation had gotten out of hand. The strongest men in his town had been subdued by Moran which not only made him enraged, but scared. An assured smile crept up his lips when he sighted a bunch of other men approaching them with jade ropes. "Why didn't I think of it?" he mentally facepalmed before turned to face the woman who was on a killing spree. "Morana! Surrender now! And I might consider being light on your daughter!" he yelled.

He expected Morana to give up immediately. However, he was face with disappointment.

"You wish!!" Morana spat as she held her daughter close to her chest as she fought off the men. Using a hand to fight men who appeared to be stronger than her was a minus for her. Considering her already weak state and the poison that was gradually working, she felt at loss. "I will make you pay for what you did to my family!!" she yelled as she conjured a big ball of purple flame and sent it to Oziel who shrieked and made an attempt to run away. However, before he could turn, he was hit.

The crowd soon began to disperse in fright on seeing their chief writhing on the floor while screaming like a toddler.

"The witch has killed the chief!!!!" An elderly woman yelled as she ran for her dear life.

Keeping her tied daughter against a pole, Morana walked to Oziel who was still screeching with a devious smile on her face. Her fist glowed with a black and purple light. "You don't deserve to live!" she spat at him as she gradually put out the fire. "H- how could you do this to me? To us?" she asked. The reality that her husband had made up his mind to execute her and their child struck her once again.

Oziel looked at her bloodstained face and exhaled, his chest heaving up and down. "You know it is a crime against the king to keep a witch…" he tried to garner sympathy from her.

"You could have helped us…" She choked on her saliva.

Unknown to her, one of the survivors from her fireball attack had sneakily picked her child and had placed a sword on her throat. The little girl could make a noise. The jade rope had imbedded itself in her skin which but her in a grieving position. Hot tears streamed down her cheeks.

Oziel saw it and smirked, "Helped you? I would have become an enemy of the king!" He spat at her. His face held no traces of emotion.

Morana shook her head in disbelief, "But you are my husband!!"

"Not anymore."

A man snuck behind her and slashed her with his sword causing purple blood to ooze from her injury. She fell to the floor as she writhed in pain. Oziel stood up with the help of a younger lady. "I gave you a chance to surrender, but you didn't. Now you can only blame yourself!" he yelled as he snatched the sword from the nearby guard and slashed the child across her chest.

"Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!" Morana yelled as she made an attempt to stand but couldn't. Her two hands were pinned to the wooden stage with two sharp daggers. She was numb to the pain. Her gaze was solely on her daughter whose gaze looked empty.

"You bastard!!! She isn't a witch!!!" Morana yelled only to get punched in the face by the guards.

The crowd who had dispersed a while ago soon came back to witness the witch being executed. "What are you waiting for? Burn her!!!!" Man yelled in fright. His knees buckled when Morana locked her gaze on him.

The rest of them soon began to chant, "Burn her! Burn her!!"

Oziel smirked, "Patience, my fellow people. According to the law, the witches should be burned without limbs to prevent them from reincarnating!"

The crowd murmured in approval. "Rip her apart!!"

Though the little girl was on the verge of loosing her consciousness, she was very much aware of the incident that was happening. Her small eyes widened when she heard what her father had said. She tried to scream but couldn't. Her voice didn't respond to her, neither did her body. This realization made the girl helpless.

"The swords!" Oziel demanded as four men walked to the stage. Each of them wielded a sword whose hilt was carved out of jade.

Morana shook her held frantically. "NO! NO!! NO!!!"

Ignoring her pleas, the four men grabbed her limbs. With a loud slash and splatter of blood, her two legs and hand rolled to the floor. Following it was the crowd victorious cheer. Blood spewed out of Morana's pale lips. Blood flowed out of her disfigured form.

Iliana watched her mother's limbless body being tied to the stake. Teras rolled down her cheeks as her vision darkened. "I will avenge you, mother."

"I will do the honors of ending the witch's life." Oziel announced as he snatched a lighted stick from one of the guards and walked close to Morana who was on the verge of passing out. "I won't give you that peaceful death that you wish for. You will die now! Your daughter will wake up to your scream and your burning fragrance." He chuckled evilly. His chuckling was interrupted by Morana who spat a mouthful of blood on his face.

"I- I curse y- you."

Oziel widened his eyes when he realized that she was about to die. Immediately, he wiped the blood off his face and lit the stake.

His expectation was cut off when Morana did not scream. Anger consumed him. "You bitch! You dared to die before being burnt!!!" he thought angrily.

The young lady who had helped him earlier walked to him and smiled. "Honey, you didn't quite get your revenge. Why not get the doctor to treat Iliana so you can get your revenge on her?" she whispered.

A cheeky grin found its way to his lips. "My dear Gina, what can I do without you?" he smirked before fixing his attention on the crowd "Good people of Tirion, the witch has been killed. Our town is now free." After he said that, he signaled a man to get Iliana unconscious body.

Staring at her, a mischievous smirk made its way to his lips. "Iliana, your hell has just been opened."
