Sol focuses his gaze on the soldier as he explains.

"By using the word 'May', I acknowledge the possibility that he might fail," Sol said. "But don't you think that a man vying for the throne should be bold enough to take risks?"

Sol's question took the soldier surprised, gazing at the young master, he felt he was standing in the presence of a master tactician.

"Since his intentions were already made known, his best option was to strike and hope for the best," Sol explained. "Now he left the room defeated, and his intentions made known to everyone. He will have a harder time succeeding, plus the option of retaliation has been made available to me."

Sol turned his attention to the Kahi'k with a crazed smile on his face.

"I don't need to have a reason to get the Kahi'k killed." His words sent shivers across the room.

People feared the Kahi'k and even people from the other alpha races treated him with respect, yet the young master who is yet to learn how to manifest his powers is entertaining the thoughts of putting him down.

How daring can this child be?

—-------

A few minutes later, the old butler stood outside the room with the doors shut. The guards gazed at him with confused looks on their faces, unsure of how to ask the questions on their minds.

"The young master has changed. I look at him, but he seems completely unrecognizable." a soldier finally stepped up and spoke his mind.

"He lost his parents, everyone outside the Ark family wants him dead and those within are plotting to usurp his birthright." the old butler said with a frosty gaze pinned on the guard. "The young master didn't change, he evolved to survive!"

The guard shuddered as he took a step back and avoided the old steward's gaze. He understood the point the old steward was making and regretted his earlier comment.

"Our duty is not to question the young master, but to serve and support him in any way possible!" the old butler said in a stern tone.

"We understand!" The guards fell on a knee while answering in unison.

Meanwhile, Sol had no intentions of sleeping yet. He sent the old steward away because he needed time to study the system and see what the system upgrade was all about.

"Wow. Does this work?" Sol was suspicious.

These two extension tools will put him ahead of his peers by leaps and bounds. He wondered if this is something the system is actually capable of doing. If he had this on earth, he would have reached even greater heights and probably survived the final assassination attempt.

Without hesitation, Sol purchased both but only then did he realize he should be sleeping, at least that's what he told the old butler, and to get them out of his room. So how is he meant to test it?

"It's Okay, I'll get to test it out in the academy tomorrow," Sol said to satiate his childlike curiosity. It was already late, so he decided to get some sleep ahead of school the next day.

—------------------------

The next day, Sol had washed himself and changed into a white hooded sweater and a black trouser. He went down to have breakfast and was met with the excited faces of his maids eager to serve him more than before, leaving him wondering if last night's event was the reason for this.

After breakfast, Sol left in his carriage, accompanied by a few guards and the old steward in the carriage.

[Race: Ark Branch]

[Race Tier: Alpha]

[Type: Ru-Destros]

[Title: Steward]

[Condition: Healthy]

[Status: Alert, Protective of the host]

"Ooh?" Sol was taken aback by Chamberlain's status.

To think this old man was a tier two fighter. This explains why the maids are scared of him each time he is discontented with their conduct. But how strong is a tier two fighter?

Numerous thoughts ran through Sol's mind, but they were disrupted by the old steward's voice.

"Young Master, you are staring again."

"Ooh, I am?" Sol realized his mistake and tried to play dumb. He had no intentions of sharing his newfound abilities with anyone.

Every man needs a secret weapon that will give them an edge over others. This system and everything that comes with it will be his secret weapon.

"Yes, you are. You have been like this since today, staring deeply into everyone you come across today." The old steward explained in a leveled tone. "You had a lot of the maids blushing, many of them thought you were interested in them."

"Nonsense!" Sol screamed, instantly getting defensive.

"Of course, I know the young master's taste is exquisite, and he won't settle for them, so try not to give them the wrong idea," The Old Steward said while adjusting the bow tie of his tuxedo
