Prime Shifters

Hearing Sol's response, Lukas was taken aback, especially since he could tell Sol was not even up to the tier one rank level. This left him wondering what gave Sol the confidence to speak this way.

"So you decline?" Lukas asked with eyes blazing with hostility, but Sol remained unmoved.

"You want me to bend a knee and degrade the Ark family from an alpha race to a second-rated beast race?" Sol hissed those words as his eyes lit up fiercely. "Of course, my answer is no!"

Sol was expecting a loud and chaotic response to his words, however Lukas remained calm and cool. His personality was one of someone extremely cool-headed regardless of the situation.

"Very well…" Lukas said, and his body gracefully launched off the ground. "It's a pity you will have to die here, especially since Lyra really liked you,"

Lukas began walking in Sol's direction with an eerie diffusing from his body. Sol couldn't explain the feeling he got from Lukas, but it was an all-encompassing presence that made him feel so unnatural.

Sol knew it was advisable to enter a battle with a worried mindset, so he pushed aside those thoughts and focused on the things he knew about shape-shifters. In his opinion, the shape-sifters were amongst the weakest races amongst the numerous beast races in terms of direct confrontations. While they could transform into things, people, and wild animals, these things could not compare to beast races each with unique abilities

In Sol's mind, he had concluded that a tier-one Shape-shifter was weaker than a tier-one being of almost any beast race. With the power of the one and his demonic bloodline power, he shouldn't have a problem dealing with Lukas.

Then why did he feel anxious?

Why were his instincts screaming danger?

"Fuck it!" Sol growled as his eyes lit up!

[Power Of The One: The One's Embrace Activated]

Buzz!

A bright sphere of white light formed on his chest, and strange letters spread across his arm. Numerous white runes appeared all over his arms, while a third eye created purely out of white light formed on his forehead.

In an instant, Sol's aura soared, startling Lukas. The recent development left him with a frown contrary to his cold and detached temperament, simply because he couldn't understand what was going on there. A moment ago, Sol wasn't even at the tier one level, but all of a sudden, not only did his rank rise, but his presence dwarfed that of most of the tier one beast Lukas had come across.

Was he hiding his power?

But that is impossible, no student here should be in tier one, especially since this is the first day of the test. While he was still lost in his thoughts, Sol decided to take the initiative and attack.

Thud!

"Hak!"

Sol charged forward without hesitation as fierce flames exploded around his hands. Seeing the incoming enemy, Lukas revealed a disdainful sneer and pushed his thoughts aside.

Hak: Werewolf

Suddenly, Lukas's aura underwent a qualitative transformation as the vague image of a white wolf loomed over him. His eyes brightened up, while scanty white fur sprouted at different locations of his body. Sol halted his advance with a look of shock and disbelief in his eyes as he watched Lukas' nails grow into claws while his perfect set of white teeth grew into intimidating white fangs.

Bam!

Sol instinctively leaped backward as Lukas charged forward, and he threw his hands forward, releasing a powerful torrent of fire. However, he watched Lukas slip under the torrent of fire and slide to the left.

His movements left after images in its wake as he closed the distance between him and Sol in a few seconds before planting a powerful right fist into Sol's belly, which sent him flying out of the room.

Bang.

Sol hit the wall opposite the entrance and his vision blurred while his breathing became haggard. His body slid down to the ground, and he settled on his butt while clutching his belly with his hands.

"How is he able to mimic the power of a werewolf?" Sol muttered in confusion.

He could hear Lukas' footsteps steadily approaching, leaving him with no room to think deeply about the situation. However, Lukas had no problem telling him the truth behind his power.

"I watched you speak about the different types of Shape-shifters that day in class, and you mentioned mythical shifters, capable of mimicking the form of mythical beasts," Lukas said. "You are correct and wrong at the same time," he added.

Hearing this, Sol was stunned, but he remained silent and struggled to rise to his feet while his gaze remained pinned on the approaching Lukas.

"I don't blame you for your ignorant answer," Lukas said. "I don't blame the world for being ignorant about the true power of the Shape-shifters, especially since we have been the ones keeping this a secret."

"Mythical shifters is simply a title reserved for the royal family of the Shape-shifter race," Lukas explained. "People with this power are capable of transforming into any beast in existence and gain the physical attributes of the monster,"

"However, amongst the Shape-shifter royal family, there are unique shifters born once in a millennium. They are rarer than the rarest resources this universe has to offer, and they are also the most powerful beings to grace this world. They are called Prime shifters…"

Saying those words, a sense of pride flashed in Lukas's eyes, as if he was praising himself for being able to acquire such status.

"We prime shifters can become anything and everything in this world and possess their powers as well," Lukas said with an unusual flare in his voice. "We are the beings created by the heavens to rule this world and suppress all the lesser beings that look down on our people. Lyra and I are to fulfill that destiny!"
