Predator

Sol frowned at Instructor Ethan's words and looked at his bleeding palms. His eyebrows narrowed at the sight of his blood and he looked behind him, his gaze pinned on Kathrine who kept looking at him with mixed emotions in her eyes completely different from her icy gaze. It was as if she was apologizing for Ethan's actions with her eyes but Sol wasn't interested in that.

Sol was pained by the fact that he was the one getting picked on by these instructors. A day ago was that midget mage and today is a male vampire who looks more feminine than most women he has come across in this world.

'Do they think I'm easy prey?' Sol's eyes blazed with hostility as his murderous gaze shifted to Instructor Ethan.

As a man his pride and ego were the most important thing to him. Having people consistently step on it was driving him crazy with bloodlust.

"I apologize for the inconvenience I have caused Master Sol. That was not my intention." Instructor Ethan said with a taunting smile.

His intentions may have been to get a stronger reaction from Sol but what happened next shocked him. As Sol's anger reached its peak, his teeth gritting and his clenched fists tightening, all that anger vanished instantly as if it was never there.

Indifference appeared in his eyes and his smile spread across his lips as he sat down.

"It's okay. No hard feelings." Said Sol who was smiling without his eyes.

Buzz.

Instructor Ethan's animal instincts kicked in as he took a quick step back. His eyes dilated and beads of sweat on his forehead as he looked at the smiling young master of the Ark family.

At this moment, he felt like he was standing before a predator that had killed many people. He could tell he was in Sol's sights, making him feel like he was standing in the presence of a predator waiting for the right chance to pounce.

"This presence, this bloodlust. Only a killer can possess it!" Ethan muttered those words "Surviving the seal and now this? What the hell is this kid?"

The sudden switch in his attitude was something that did not go unnoticed and students began talking. Kathrine was gazing at Sol's back with a look of shock on her face.

Be it vampires or werewolves, they could smell fear and right now the instructor was experiencing that emotion but why was he scared of someone like Sol who was powerless?

'What the hell did he do?'

The commotion soon died down after instructor Ethan had regained his composure.

"I am Instructor Ethan, your combat class teacher. I apologize for the earlier commotion once again." Ethan said while looking in Sol's direction but there was no reaction from him.

"For today's class, I will teach you the magic word that will get you to the first tier," Ethan said with a cunning smile on his face.

His words made students lean in instinctively, even Sol couldn't help but put aside every other thing going on in his mind, in hopes of grasping the next word that would leave Instructor Ethan's mouth.

"Hak!" Ethan roared.

Instantly his presence transformed alongside his smooth skin seemed to harden. His clean set of teeth grew two pairs of fangs, while his nails grew longer. If he gave off the presence of a charming prince earlier, his presence had completely to that of a beast.

The students were taken aback by this, excitement visible in the eyes of everyone except four students. Scattered across the room.

The first was Sol whose self-control was outstanding. He simply saw no reason to drool over this display like other students.

The second was Katherine, daughter of Lord Tepes, current Patriarch of the Vampire family. She sat elegantly with flowing ebony hair cascading over her slender shoulders. Her porcelain skin, almost translucent, contrasts with the deep crimson of her lips.

The black lace, velvet, and satin of her Gothic attire accentuate her hauntingly elegant demeanor, while her eyes, a piercing shade of crimson. It was obvious she had seen something like this numerous times. That's why she wasn't too surprised like others.

The third was Aurelius, a youthful warlock draped in garments of pure white. His mane of white hair falls untamed around his shoulders, contrasting with his skin pale as moonlight.

Wrapped tightly around his eyes, bandages conceal what remains of his damaged eyes. Despite his lack of sight, his presence exudes a quiet strength and an enigmatic aura that commands respect.

He was the Son of the current Matriarch of the witch coven and even though he is her youngest son and has yet to attain his abilities, many have speculated he is the one who may succeed his mother.

The last was Derek, the young werewolf. His sleek, jet-black hair tied back into a ponytail. His piercing amber eyes held a primal intensity, hinting at the wild spirit within.

Adorned in clothes fashioned from the deepest black fur. The garments, rugged yet stylish, mold to his form, emphasizing his muscular build and the untamed energy simmering beneath the surface.

He was a part of the family of alpha's that has been ruling the werewolf race for millennials now.

'As expected of the four young masters of the four families. Such a mediocre display is not enough to move them. Ethan thought.

'But this kid. This kid is the most dangerous of all four!' Ethan's eyes shifted to Sol.

He was certain if any of the other three were to have the immortal blood-shattering seal put on them, they would have been dead, yet he was sitting here like he was perfectly fine.

'I will have to speak to Lord Tepes about this child.' Ethan concluded.

""Hak" embodies the power of release, enabling one to manifest their inner strength. However, the way and manner in which this power is harnessed and expressed hold significant importance. Remember, the choices made in both what to manifest and the method of manifestation is what differentiates those with talent from the rest." Ethan said with a cunning smile.
