Monster

Sol stepped out of the room only to see Old Man Chamberlain, Lady Zephyra, and Instructor Ethan.

[Name: Zephyra Galewhisper]

[Tier: 3][Enigmatic Sorcerer]

[Race: Witch]

[Race Tier: Alpha]

[Type: Ru-Destros]

[Title: Coven Elder]

[Condition: Perfect condition]

[Status: Suspicious]

'Tier 3?'

Sol was taken aback by her information but he dared not allow his emotions to show.

His face remained indifferent as he mentally nodded, knowing his suspicion was on point. If he had been so cocky as to reveal everything to Derek, he would have been caught.

'This is why I always say a man should take his secrets to the grave' Sol muttered in his head.

"I didn't think you would come to see me after the stunt you pulled on the first day," Sol said with a cruel grin spread across his face.

"I didn't think you would have the heart to return to the academy after that small incident." Zephyra countered.

Hearing this old man Chamberlain clenched his fist in anger and was about to take a step forward but Sol stopped him with a simple gesture.

"If that little seal could not stop me, do you think the words of a dying old lady can hurt me?" Sol asked with a raised eyebrow. "You give yourself too much credit!"

Buzz!

Lady Zephyra's eyes widened as a murderous aura began diffusing from her body.

"You will behave yourself Lady Zephyra or you will share the same fate as Instructor Dorothy!" Old man, Chamberlain hissed as he grabbed Sol by the collar and pulled him behind him.

"And who is going to harm me?" Lady Zephyr asked as a gale began twirling around her. "You?" She asked.

"For my young master? I will kill you a thousand times over." Old man Chamberlain said as his fists erupted with fierce flames.

[Name: Chamberlain Ark]

[Tier: Two][Ignited Scion]

[Race: Ark Branch]

[Race Tier: Alpha]

[Type: Ru-Destros]

[Title: Steward]

[Condition: Healthy]

[Status: Alert, Protective of the host]

Listening to their conversations made Sol look at old man Chamberlain once again. Hearing the cocky words of this old man, one would think Old Man Chamberlain was a tier three Ark family member.

'Come on man, pipe down or you may actually get both of us killed.' Sol screamed in his head but maintained a calm look on the surface.

While he could easily ask Old Man Chamberlain to back away, it would make him look weak as a leader. So it was best for a third party to intervene before things got out of hand.

"That's enough..." Instructor Ethan moved in to stop things from escalating any further. "We can't go around setting a bad example for the younger ones." He said, shooting a glance at Sol.

Hearing this, Sol couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief mentally. He hoped that both sides would take Instructor Ethan's words to heart before he got hurt.

"I'm teaching the young master to stand up to bullies like Lady Zephyra." Old Chamberlain said as his eyes lit up with fire. "For that reason, it's best to make an example out of her!" He added.

'What the hell are you saying you senile old man! We will be the ones taught a lesson if you don't shut the fuck up and remember you are only an Ignited Scion!' Sol yelled in his mind.

By this time beads of sweat were already forming on his forehead but he tried to maintain his calm appearance even in the face of danger.

"Talk is cheap! " Lady Zephyra screamed. "Let's get this over with, here and now!" She roared as her small body levitated off the ground, hovering backward while she prepared to attack.

'This old steward has finished me!' Sol cried out in his head.

If only Old Man Chamberlain could remain silent, all of this would have been avoided.

Just before Lady Zephyra could launch an attack, an old pale hand tore through the fierce wind twirling around her like a hot knife cutting through butter. It fell on her shoulders and even though Lady Zephyra was yet to see the owner of the hand, she shivered in fear.

It was an elderly vampire who stood with a regal yet weathered presence. His once raven-black hair had faded to a silver cascade that framed a face etched with both the elegance of nobility and the weariness of time.

His sharp, ageless crimson eyes peered out from beneath heavy lids, stabbing into Lady Zephyra's back like daggers.

His skin, once porcelain smooth, now bore delicate lines and a paleness. Despite the passage of centuries, his features retained an otherworldly allure, though now softened by the subtle grace of age.

He was dressed in attire that echoed a bygone era, his garments, rich in texture and dark hues. A cloak draped over his shoulders, billowing slightly as if caught in a perpetual, unseen breeze.

"If you were to attack right now, little Ethan would have been hurt." The old voice rang across the hallway.

Danger!

Sol was frozen in fear and failed to notice all the hairs on his body standing in response to the ancient threat that just appeared. While this old man's hostility was not directed towards him he was still badly affected by it.

Ding!

[Cannot assimilate target data, host needs to upgrade the system to be able to gain access to such high-level information!]

'What?'

Sol was shaken. Lady Zephyra was a tier three witch yet the system could assimilate her information, but it couldn't assimilate the information of this old man.

Doesn't that mean this man must be at least a Tier four being or higher?

"I-I w-would never dream of doing such," Lady Zephyra said with tears running down her old face. "I swear, believe me!" She pleaded.

'Damn!' Sol screamed in his head.

What exactly could make a powerful witch cry for no reason?

Who the hell is this old monster?

"You don't have to cry little Zephyra. I have known you since you were still a child." The ancient vampire said in a soothing tone. "I would never harm you over a small matter like this," he added.
