Ignorance

Today... My wedding day... This could have been one of the most beautiful days. Yet I felt a dark presence above my head. Sitting in my bed I felt a strange warmth coming near my stomach. "Oh well, I guess I started my period today... Maybe I can double up on pads so I don't bleed out on my dress."

To start out, the love of my life, Ezra had been so stressed out lately. Every time I had entered the room he had turned his back towards me but this was understandable. He has lots of work to do before the wedding. Last night, I slept so soundly that Ezra had already left to tend the garden. Looking at my cat Shadow. "Are all men like this? You've never deserted me without waking me." The sleek black cat was glaring outside the window. I can only assume Ezra is digging up some weeds but by the sounds of his grunting they seemed tough.

Slowly, I got out of bed. I felt so cold now that I had gotten out of bed and it was the middle of summer... Looking down I gasped... "My stomach..." A huge gash across my stomach showed that I was bleeding profusely all over myself... Yet.... I saw a blood trail leading outside.... I hadn't been outside yet? Hurrying I threw on my robe and ran outside to find Ezra. My body began to shake... Ezra was burying my body... I was dead...?!?!
