Death is My Lover

Everyone dies. They can die in a peaceful way, in a way that they never expected, in a way that's so horrible, that you can't even imagine that it's really done by a human being. There was a myth that circulated along time ago. Death was a person, he comes to you and watch you die right on the spot. Ashleah chuckled, no way in hell that would be true. Right?

"My, please do accept my apology from earlier. I really did not know that you were there." Ashleah with the two maids, Ana and Addilyn walked inside the Guest room of the Deoncan's Mansion. The 5 Princes had this flood of questions inside their minds yet they were stopped by Prescott earlier.

---------------

Prescott cleared his throat as soon as he saw his Master inside the carriage that was for her and Cason, giggling with all smiles. He did not wish to ruin the beautiful mood that Ashleah has.

"Can we ask her some questions?" Prince Lovis asked Prescott, the man who had this astonishing sky blue eyes glared at the Prince making Prince Lovis gulp and think if he did anything wrong.

"As far as I know the Princess knows that you, the 5 Princes already has the knowledge that she is currently staying at the Duke Deoncan's mansion-" He saw how their eyes widened but continued listening. "-Because the Princess' powers are greater than mine."

"But having those kind of powers will also be the one who will bring her danger." Prince Enver replied making Prescott nod his head, glancing back at the carriage where Ashleah was. The Princess took a peak from the inside of the carriage and waved both of her hands to them like a child, smiling so brightly.

Making them sigh and smile back at her. The Princes felt devastated on how hard it must have been for the Princess. She was one of those persons who can inherit the throne but they can also take the inheritance away from her if they find something that can ruin her reputation as the Imperial Princess.

"A scary competition for the throne, are there any current suspects for nobles that are also running for the throne or waiting for her highness to create a mistake?" Prince Raven asked, Prescott nodded his head.

The throne is like a rose, a lot of thorns that when you accidentally touch it or make a mistake it will be bloody and will be your greatest mistake. It is something so beautiful yet so deadly in the eyes of the beholder.

Almost everyone thinks that when you become the ruler of the greatest and largest Empire, Genry; You will get everything you've always asked for. Yet, this was no fantasy that each and everyday of your life you have to fight for those people below you.

---------------

"Did I make you wait?" She tilted her head, Prince Akriel shook his head with a smile. "That's great! Ah, it really has been some quite time ever since I had this kind of break." Ashleah looked back at her maids and nodded her head at them.

Ana and Addilyn did the same and giggled while walking outside of the Guest Room. "What do you mean by that, Your Highness? Don't you have any breaks?" Prince Blake asked Ashleah who casually sat at the solo sofa beside her earlier.

"Unfortunately, no. After the trainings, Father along with Na- Duke Deoncan got me a personal tutor." She pouted her lips like a child making the 5 Princes laugh at the Princess. "But, I do believe that this will be all worth it."

The burning passion inside her eyes made them smile. Prescott cleared his throat. "Your Highness, I will now take my leave. Please do have fun with them." Ashleah quickly stood up and what she did next made everyone inside the room shocked.

She then twirled around and turned into a bird herself, giggling softly she flew around Prescott. Her feathers were Light pink and white. Eyes did not change in any bit, it was still brown but they were so shocked that they did not scream. They just went silent.

"Y-Your Highness when-"

"When did I start learning shape shifting? A few days ago, I guess. But, for sure Prescott and Cason are a lot better than me!" She giggled before twirling around again for the last time and transformed back to her normal self. "See!?"

"A new discovery for you." Prescott smiled before finally saying his Goodbyes to the 5 Princes and his Master. As soon as he left the room, everyone sighed and started stretching their body. Ashleah laughed and quickly ran back to the solo sofa she was sitting on earlier.

They were comfortable with each other. Everyone inside the room knows that Prince Akriel has a lover and it is Lady Ciara, and the same for Prince Enver who's lover was Count Nicolai.

"Ah! I really felt the pressure and deafening silence when Prescott's around!" Lovis laughed out making everyone laugh the same way he did.

"So, how's living under the same roof with another of your suitors?" Prince Raven teasingly said to Ashleah, she raised an eyebrow and quickly took a throw pillow from her back and tossed it to Raven receiving a huge chunk of laughter.

"Stop teasing me! It's not like you guys are really courting me." She laughed. "Where are you going to stay for now??" She sincerely asked them.

"We actually do think that his Majesty would probably let us stay at the Beryl Palace." Prince Blake said. After some time it was the time where they should go back since it will be quite a bumpy road for them.

The Princess sighed and had this sad look plastered on her face. "When are you going to visit me again?" She blurts out making them chuckle.

"That we cannot answer, your Highness." Prince Enver said, she sighed and nodded her head.

"Please do have a safe trip going back to the Imperial Palace, oh! And please do give this to Aziel." Addilyn quickly pulled out a paper, Ashleah gave it to Prince Enver. "Tell him that I miss him so much. Princess will come back as soon as possible."

"We will surely give this to Aziel, Your Highness." Prince Blake replied making Ashleah smile.

---------------

"So they were here earlier?" Nash who just came back from the Imperial Palace sat down on the sofa right in front of Ashleah. The Princess nodded her head while taking a sip of tea.

"Yes, so why did Father summon you to the Palace all of a sudden?" Ashleah said, leaning back to the solo sofa she was sitting on.

"Nothing much really. Ana and Addilyn, you can go now. I will be having a little chit chats with the Princess." The two sisters nodded before going straight to the door, carefully closing it.

They could no hide it, they were still awkward when it is just the two of them, but they tried to keep it professional and THEY ARE FRIENDS—

"How is your training going?" Nash asked Ashleah, The woman shrugged her shoulders before groaning.

"Very.. Very tiring. You see, as each and every single day passes the more lessons I learn and new ways to use my magic."

"Mmm, I also am getting a hang of my training and taking care of the knights that I am handling for now." Nash said before taking a bite from the chocolate chip cookie prepared by the chefs for them.

"I miss Nanny Riley, Aziel, and Giulia really." She pouted her lips before taking a cookie and making a huge bite from it.

"We can visit them today, Cason told me that you have a clear schedule—"

Ashleah gasped loudly and stood up quickly. "Are you damn serious right now, Nash!?"

"Of course, do you really think that I was joking about—" Yet again, Nash could not even complete his sentence when Ashleah hugged him out of excitement.

She soon then pulled away, but they looked at each other for quite some moments. Lips were about to touch when suddenly loud knocks from the door was heard.

They quickly went away from each other. Awkwardly coughing, Nash replied from the knocks. "Come in!"

It was Theo panting loudly. His eyes held depths of fear making them feel like there was somthing terrible that happened.

"The Palace was under attack! Prince Blake is injured—"

"WHO?" Ashleah's voice made Theo stop, the butler shakingly looked at the Princess who had this killer eyes.

"P-Prince Blake is injured—"

Ashleah chuckled and smirked soon then. "Guess that they started moving." As soon as she said that, she disappeared with Nash.
