Evangeline smiled at the last customer once she fulfilled their orders and cracked the bones in her neck.
"It was hectic today," Mia commented.
"No, it's just I was already tired before the shift, and it just added to it," she walked to the changing room to get her things from the locker.
"See you tomorrow," Evangeline waved her hand to the girl before leaving.
"Woah, what the -" she said when someone grabbed her hand.
She looked at the person with raised brows.
"Mr. Alexander," she said in acknowledgment.
"How was your audition? I was waiting to hear your results, but I never got a message or a call about how it went," He said, his voice a bit complaining while his poker face made her sigh.
"I haven't told anyone about it,"
"I don't count in 'everyone'," Alexander said, his eyes turning a shade darker, and Evangeline gently pulled her hand from his grip.
"I don't see how you are different," she said.
