Chapter 8

I wasn't allowed to sleep.

well not yet we needed to talk about all of 'that' and what to do with the ghosts and if the hero's should keep them or if Tav should spread them more.

Superman "I understand that some of you are concerned about what people will do with these 'ghosts' but I believe that the Traveler as the creator and source of them that she should do with them as she pleases within reason." 

Captain Atom "I understand what you mean but we can't allow that to happen, there is nothing stopping people abusing them and their powers for their own gain." Damn a good point from captain atom will wonders never cease.

The Flash "see I get your point but we can't assume that every Guardian would immediately start doing evil and we should trust the Traveler in" he looks at me and I mouth 'her' and he nods "her judgement just like we trust the guardians" he stops and whispers "wow that gonna confuse me" but continued "with their choice of Green Lanterns. Both give massive amounts of power, both are peacekeepers in their own way and both were created for the purpose of helping all life." Mainly life helping the traveler but I'm not gonna mention that.

Captain just grunts but doesn't continue while Batman takes over "what about the ghosts the were used during the battle" he looks over at the Traveler.

"those that are willing may keep their ghost will do so while those that don't will have their ghosts repurposed for others" Tav answered although I know she doesn't want to change any of the ghosts as they are all her children.

batman nods and raises his hand so his pure black ghost can materialise above his palm "do you wish to stay" the ghost just nods and disappears back into him. Well that's that bats now has power hope it doesn't turn out like all the other times.

i look over to Green Arrow and he does the same as bats with his ghost answering "sure don't see why not." And this repeated with all members who received a ghost all of them wanted to stay with their guardian.

I looked over to Tav and asked "how are the others that weren't able to find a guardian up here" she just answers "most found a partner with hero's while some found anti-hero's to be their guardian" I nodded.

WW looked at the Traveler and asked "can the ghost be used for evil." Tav answered "while it is possible if I wasn't conscious that guardians may convince their ghosts to go against me and my speaker. I am, so if a guardian somehow convinced their ghost I would be able to remove said ghost from them." Basically they couldn't go evil if she was awake.

After that the meeting wasn't very interesting it was mostly just them talking to the traveler about what to do if some more of her enemies show up/how to defeat them if they do and things of that nature.

When the meeting was over I was finally allowed to go to sleep so I did, I went to the cave and passed out as soon as I hit the bed and when I woke up it was the morning.

"good morning" looking over at the noise I see Tav floating over my bed scanning me. "What's up Tav what are you doing" it looked like she was searching for something in me.

"you light was disconnected last night at midnight and I had to reconnect us manually so I'm trying to find out why" oh power roll.

Cool now I know it won't roll without me awake.

I wonder which version old or young Kratos.

willing myself into Kratos I feel the most amount of pure unhindered apocalyptic rage I have ever felt but I don't seem to lose myself, I still feel like me and can think straight but the rage is there just out of reach calling out to me.

looking at myself I see that I have shot up in size and width while my clothes have become animal skin. I could feel a new weight settle on my back, my waist, my left arm and my ring finger, I could also feel more power than I have ever felt course through me.

Looking over myself I don't find anything else to inspect so I just grunt and go look around the cave.

when I finish looking for more interesting things around the cave I go to the main room. By the time I get there it is occupied by a group of people that by the looks of it are magicians and people with magic abilities like WW and Shazam.

as I walk through the door into the room everyone goes still while WW and Shazam snap into fighting stances but look about as terrified as they could get.

"who are you" asks WW in about as much fear as you could expect from a Greek meeting the killer of her whole pantheon.

i just grunt out "David" and move on past them to the holographic display of the world, moving the globe I look and try to find something to do but I'm interrupted by Shazam coming up to me.

"um hey David can I ask why you look and feel so different" he looked nervous so I sighed and answered. " right now I have taken the form of Kratos a man who killed his version of Ares and became the god of war. After a while the other Greek gods betrayed him and he went on a rampage resulting in him killing the whole pantheon including some of the titans like Cronus and Gaea." I look into the distance mournfully and recalled Atreus.

"after killing the Greeks he left and arrived in a new realm, the Norse realm. After a while he had a son who inherited his divinity but was unaware, they went on a whole adventure to spread Atreus's mom's ash at the highest peak in the realms." I could feel the horror radiating off the people behind me as I told the tale of Kratos.

"a whole lot of things happened and eventually Kratos killed almost all of the Norse pantheon as well" I didn't look at the people around me I just continued thinking of Atreus and all the people they had met on their journey.
