Chapter 74: Power of the Universe

Winter Schnee: So this is what real dragons look like.

Rias Gremory: These are low-class dragons and basically animals. But they can pose a danger to those unprepared to encounter such beings.

Shinoa Hiragi: Well, well, how are the virgins?

Shinoa Hiragi: Sends a photo

Shinoa appeared to be naked in the picture because she was grinning and had only a thin blanket covering her body.

She was standing next to someone, and her untidy hair partially obscured her face.

"At least someone's having fun." 

Erina sighed, watching the live broadcast from Hermione. 

The dragon breathed fire and defended the egg while Cedric ran away from it... Erina didn't bother to remember his name.

"Do you want something to drink?"

Hisako asked her. 

"And I brought playing cards..."

"I don't want to." 

Erina grumbled.

"But you wanted to not long ago..."

"I don't want to!" 

Erina said it louder while turning slightly away. 

Erina was dressed in a light kimono after a hot bath. 

She really didn't feel like playing cards as she was watching something more interesting right now.

"It's better if you tell me about your first day." 

Erina asked Hisako.

"Well, it was more challenging than I expected, but I handled it."

Hisako said confidently. 

" And... was Soma not suitable for you?"

"Why should he be suitable for me?"

Erina raised an eyebrow.

"Well, you gave him additional tasks during the exam, and then you kept burdening him..."

Hisako looked away.

"What are you implying? Do I like him? That boring guy with a stupid expression on his face, pff. The only good thing about him is his father."

Erina said.

"This camp is such a bore..."

"Well, he defeated Ikumi Mito in a Shokugeki." 

Hisako shrugged. 

Shokugeki is a cooking duel in which two opponents compete to see who can cook better. 

It's a common practice at Totsuki Academy to test the students' skills.

"I would be disappointed if HIS son stupidly lost at the beginning of his path."

Erina scoffed. 

"And then there's my cousin..."

Erina remembered Alice in the anime. 

She thought about her life while clenching her hand. 

She easily passed all the tests at the camp with her speed and coordination, and everything else had taken a huge leap forward compared to a couple of months ago before she received her aura and started developing her Ki.

She could easily compete for the Top Five in the Elite Ten Student Council with her current skills.

She knew she was inferior before, but now... 

Totsuki Friendship and Rapport Training Camp is a place where all first-year students are sent to test their culinary skills. 

It's safe to say it's the first serious trial on the path to becoming a chef. 

She also got an invitation, and even though she's on the council, she's still a first-year student, and she did great on her test as expected.

"Come on, Harry! You can do it!"

Hermione shouted as Harry entered the task. 

The three other champions had already completed their first trial.

Cedric distracted the dragon with a spell and quickly grabbed the egg, trying to escape, but a fireball hit him in the back.

Fortunately, the dragon wasn't very dangerous, and he only suffered minor bruises and burns.

Next was Viktor Krum, and he was literally bombarding the dragon with various spells. 

Hermione could see that he kept getting into stances for spell combos, but he didn't finish them... most likely because he didn't want to use certain spells. 

Still, he put on an excellent performance, even though the dragon hit him with the tip of its tail and almost broke his arm. 

As for Fleur... Hermione rolled her eyes during her performance when she started singing and mesmerizing the dragon, Ron was practically drooling over her... 

He was definitely drooling just like most of the male audience on the stands. 

This once again showed her that a parallel world couldn't be true because she wouldn't marry someone like that... they just wouldn't get along in the same house.

"Oh."

Hermione exclaimed, squeezing the wooden railing harder, which creaked plaintively under her grip. 

Meanwhile, Harry... tried to attract the egg, but when he realized it wasn't working, he hid behind a rock, and the dragon started releasing fire.

"Do as I told you!"

Hermione yelled, slightly frustrated and frightened. 

They practice what he should do whenever possible even with multiple action plans. 

One of them was using Leviosa on the fabric of his clothes especially his cloak, and then attempting to grab the egg. 

It was one of the available and understandable options for Harry. 

They even practiced the Patronus Charm as it could calm the dragon... but it seems he forgot everything due to nervousness.

She looked at the professor and saw that the headmaster had his wand held down and was probably holding on tight in case something went wrong.

[Anthony's POV]

"Maybe I should go check on Hermione?"

Shinowa murmured while watching the broadcast. 

"Oh... that must hurt."

Shinoa saw how the dragon hit the stone with its spiked tail, and the stone debris hit Harry's back. 

At the same moment, the dragon roared and the restraining chain snapped, but Harry had already managed to escape with the egg by then... 

But the enraged dragon started looking hungrily at the people on the stands. 

The dragon was then hit by very strong magic that threw it away and chains started to appear out of the stones and wrap around the dragon.

After spending the night, Shinoa clearly woke up in a good mood, and even Lena didn't say anything about it when she woke up next to the naked girl.

"I have a couple of things to take care of today. Do you want me to teleport you to Gotham?"

I asked Shinoa.

"You rough me up and throw me to Gotham, huh?" 

Shinoa stuck her tongue out at me and pulled away the thin cover that revealed her red pussy. 

"It's your fault, so take responsibility."

"I've already taken responsibility."

I shrugged and alchemically created another cover that fell on Shinoa from above. 

"You'll be going to university soon; don't forget that."

"Maybe I'll find a good and loving guy there who won't dump me after sex."

Shinoa "pouted." 

"Or maybe a girl?"

"You really need some friends to envy you." 

I nodded to her.

"Hey, who's telling me that? Mister "I only hang out with my harem. Hearing such words from you... smells like hypocrisy. Maybe you'll find a male friend too?"

Shinoa stared at me intently.

"I actually agree with her." 

Lena's voice came from the bath.

"Oh, you too. I don't have time for that."

I replied, conjuring suitable clothes for myself.

"That's what loner usually say..."

Lena muttered as she stepped out of the bathroom. 

After kissing them both and leaving them in a somewhat awkward silence, I teleported back to my office to continue reading magical books. 

In the Book of Arion, I found interesting information that he was the first to discover the Tear of Extinction, the water of one of the Seven Forces of the Universe opposite the Force of Life.

In this multiverse, there are seven original dominant energies. 

These forces are born from the Source and have positive and negative poles.

These two poles have their own name, Anti-Crisis Energy. 

It connects everyone to their past and history, reminding them they are part of one generational story. 

This energy is needed for the multiverse to function properly and for everything to harmoniously work together. 

The Seven positive dominant energies come precisely from this force.

On the other hand, the negative is Crisis Energy, which is based on selfishness, greed, and predation of all living things, the force of doom called the Seven Hidden Forces of Creation.

This energy is associated with selfish desires and the suppression of the past.

There is a link between all seven of these positive and negative forces. 

There will be light where there is darkness and darkness where there is light.

The Speed Force is part of these Seven forces.

The force that makes the universe move and not stand still—even time itself moves thanks to this force. 

Its dark counterpart is Still Force—a force based on entropy and inertia, capable of nullifying movement.

The Emotional Spectrum provides the universe with feelings and emotions and sustains emotions for all living beings.

The opposite of this force is the Invisible Spectrum which includes ultraviolet and feeds on primal emotions especially hatred. 

It is on the Emotional Spectrum that the power of all Lanterns is based.

The Life Force is the force that allows life to thrive and connects every living creature to the very soul. 

The oceans precisely represent this force as they are the source of all life. 

The Tears of Extinction bestow eternal death, bringing death to any living creature and even gods, banishing them to the Graveyard of Gods. 

This force represents the striving for isolation and solipsism and is connected with the Force of Death.

The Collective Unconsciousness is also part of the Seven Harmonious Forces that bestow knowledge and wisdom upon others.

It's from this energy that telepaths draw their strength and power, and it is also wielded by the greatest of minds.

On the other hand, the Black Apple is a force associated with forbidden knowledge.

The Sphere of Gods is a force closely linked to me as it grants the universe magic and empowers those with godlike abilities. 

The New Gods, like the Old Gods such as the Olympians and Angels and Demons also draw their power from there. 

The Void Wind is the counterpart to the Sphere of Gods which snuffs out magic, divinity, and the like. 

It comes from the strong winds that come from the Graveyard of Gods.

The Dimensional Superstructure is a cosmic force that governs everything imaginable and unimaginable.

 Its opposite is the Sixth Note, which represents a cosmic force beyond imagination and is unlocked when the impossible is glimpsed.

Faithfulness is part of the Seven Positive Forces. 

It is tied to the nature of faith, which mostly relies on the goodness within people's hearts and their heroic natures.

Faithlessness is the opposite of Faith, based on the faith people have in Doom as it relies on the evil within people's hearts and their selfish and cruel nature.

It manifests when a person loses faith in their god, family, and loved ones.

"And all these forces somehow harmonize with each..." 

I murmured.

I already knew about some of these forces, but now I was starting to suspect a more global connection among the Seven Forces. 

The connection to the Source and the Sphere of Gods gives me power, but... I still couldn't feel Chat or Gatcha in any way. 

All of these Seven Forces have a lot of power.

They are also very dangerous because the Dark Multiverse is the shadow of the Multiverse, and all of the worlds and universes are very fragile and doomed to destruction due to their flawed construction.

Now the Old Gods don't seem like such a big problem because dealing with them is quite easy... easier than with the same Monitor or New Gods.

Also, those who master Negative forces at a high level. 

My magic and quasi-divine powers come from the Sphere of Gods, so magic can be used to fight some of the Crisis forces, but the Void Wind will simply deprive me of my strength.

Fortunately, now I know about it. 

After all, knowledge is power, and it truly is in this multiverse. 

I'm not obliged to honestly understand all these forces because I am somewhat of a fraud with Chat and Gatcha.
