Reaching by the cottage seeing Courtney crying, "Courtney, why are you crying?"

"Uncle, the generator is not working, I don't know if I touch something and spoil it and all the things in the fridge will spoil."

"Get up from the floor, it is not your fault the generator is not working, look I got an icebox to put all the vegetables and I already took all the meat to the storeroom home.

I also bought this lantern, if the breeze is strong it won't blow it out."

Demonstrating it for her to see, "It works with gas, so don't turn it on before lighting the match, it is lit like the stove so be careful and I see Joe is with you."

"Uncle, where is Pappie, it is already a month since they left and they were just going for a few days. I am worried and Rufus said he was just going for a day but all the gas was done, has he return as yet? And did I bought the wrong gas and spoil the generator?"

"Hugging her, "Stop worrying, you got the correct gas and Pappie had fallen and his foot got broken and had to do surgery.

Leaving, Rawlins look over the beachside seeing the water rising, "if I had told her a storm is brewing it might frighten her.

I could take her with me to the house but then everyone will want to know where Mom and Dad are? I hate lying to them so to prevent that, the child will be safer here and she have the dog as a company.

Please Lord, keep her safe for me, if Rufus was home I would have sent him to stay the night until this storm is blown away. Martha had never predicted any false warning before."

Recalling her saying the same thing when Cheryl was pregnant with the boys, she only had two months and a few days.

Recalling what mom told him, "Martha, was a missionary that came to Minister on the Island. Dad begs her to stay, giving her a piece of land on the plantation, and when Mom was pregnant with me, she came and stay with Mom in the cottage until I was born."

As fear builds up, "Oh God, is Risha pregnant? Is Carlos having an heir to carry on in this Island? This evil force only comes when a boy child is conceived.

So why is the evil spirit is not around the house? From the time Cheryl conceived, that evil spirit came into the scene lurking around. It has been seven weeks and we haven't heard a thing."

Walking into the house, Rawlins went and get the lantern, holding it as he return to the living room. "Honey, what is that in your hand?"

"When I was at the hardware Bunty was demonstrating this new propane lantern he got, so I bought two.

Now I am hungry, is dinner ready? I have been running from one errand to another, and I had completely forgotten to eat my lunch so right now the way I am starving, I could eat a horse."

When the phone rings Cheryl answer then she said, "Honey, Alf, just call and said the plane is fixed and he is going to the Main Land for Rufus."

"He better hurry, Clyde says like a storm is brewing."

"I hope not, my Son is desperate to get home, no one knows the hell I went through to bring him into this world."

"Talking about that Cheryl, have you seen Martha?"

"No, but why do you ask?"

"Well Bunty, said he saw Martha at the hardware and she was predicting a storm."

"Honey, Martha only speaks when something bad is about to happen, can you recall when I was pregnant with the boys, when she foretold that storm?

Everyone ignores her including you, you insisted to go to get supplies for the plantation. Mom and Pappie went to attend to some business and I was alone in that cottage.

Thank God, for Martha I am alive or that evil force would have killed me. Well, we don't seem to have any need to worry, I don't think Risha is pregnant."

"Why do you say that?" Rawlins's ask.

"I overheard Carlos and Risha quarreling."

"Quarrelling! But what on earth for?"

"From what I overheard, I believe Carlos promised to give her some money to help the family but he didn't, so she is not giving in to his demands."

"Cheryl, how could Carlos do something so stupid? when he know fully well that he doesn't have any money.

Sometimes I am so angry with his stupidity and this madness dad has instigated."

Cheryl notices how frustrated he was, seeing him pacing back and forth, when he said in a rage, "So why would Carlos make such a ridicule promise, when he knows he cannot fulfill it?"
