18: Disappointment

After reaching his dorm he started to get all his belongings set in only one bag, the first thing that he put inside his bag was the centrifuge that he had created with the distillery set that he had 'borrowed' from the college.

Seeing that the two important objects had been fit perfectly in the bag he started to rummage through his drawers. In them he first took some of the important documents out to take with him such as the birth certificate, the high school degree, his scholarship degree.

After that he kept some of the formal clothes that seemed new with some gym clothes and the NS10's he had prepared beforehand and his packing was done.

Before going out of the dorm he checked the dorm with Abby's help to determine that no traces of his former research or DNA was left behind, then he went out the dorms towards the train station.

On the way to the orphanage, he kept his bag in the same locker where the rest of his secret stash of Larry was kept, his train was at 6 a.m. in the morning as the night had already past away in the ambush as well as travelling to the factory.

The time it would take for him to arrive at his destination was only 2 hours, while sitting on the train Wade was still reading the book that Larry had given him.

Even though Abby has helped him with the complete knowledge in the book, he still wanted to read and see if there was something supernatural in it that he might have missed, to not make the book look too conspicuous he had already covered it up with some other book covers.

In the book, several animals were shown in the picture format, such as a mouse which looked quite different from normal from his past world, as well as the wording was quite different from the rest.

After reaching his destination he boarded a cab and went to the orphanage. When he reached his

destination he could see the orphanage that was in the memories of the kid.

It looked quite rundown but still, it was quite big so that many people would be able to live in it.

After entering, he just went straight to the warden's place as he didn't know too many people in the orphanage. When he entered he found a middle-aged woman sitting in the chair watching the CCTV footage while drinking coffee.

When she looked at him she smiled and said, " Good Morning, Wade. Now that's quite a surprise, you coming to the orphanage without any notice?"

"Good morning, Warden Jessica. Yes, you see the meat that you sent me last time turned out to be from a best that was considered extinct, so after learning this I thought it would be good if I can find a living beast to get a grant to enter the University with the findings of this beast. This will not only help me but the orphanage as well since the publicity for this will bring quite a lot of money." he said.

Wade had already organised this speech on his way while relating to the kid's past memory, he wanted to end this matter as fast as possible because according to Abby's analysis after getting the information from Larry there was a 60% chance that the beast was highly likely a magical beast.

If a normal human was to fight a magical beast they would die but since the warden had sent the meat there may be some kind of a situation because of which the warden got such a meat, so he wanted to try his chances on the exploration of this situation if he could.

After hearing his explanation the warden was quite shocked and astonished about what Wade has just told her, but as if recalling something from her memory she nodded and told him what he wanted to know.

"Wade sorry, but I can't help you in this. The meat which we got was given to us by some Travelers. I found two guys in front of the orphanage covered in blood. They had very likely fought the beast which you had told me and got injured.

As I had helped them sew up their wounds and allowed them to stay for a night in the orphanage, they gave us some of the meat from their backpack.

I don't know anything else as after they could walk fine they left the orphanage"

Listening to her story, he was quite disappointed because just from hearing her explanation he could tell that this person we're from the supernatural world otherwise how could they walk away on their own feet when they were covered in their own blood after only one day of rest.

He now knew that he had wasted his time coming here so without wasting any more time he bud the warden farewell and went back to the station to get back to Gazi District. But to his disappointment, he found out that the next train for the Gazi district would be arriving at noon.

So for the next three hours, he had to wait for the train to leave this place, not wanting to waste his time on such trivial matters he went to a small hotel and book the room for the next 3 hours. He had selected this hotel on the net as its cost was dependent on an hourly basis.

He sat in the room after completing his regular exercises so as to not dull his body. He completed reading the book in this three hours.

He has completely read the book and searched for any odd points with his own efforts without having Abby's help in the book.

He had found three to four pages which looked a little unnatural but he couldn't find or pinpoint exactly what this odd points about them was so he marked those pages to be looked again in the future.
