Little Red Riot Hood

"I'm pretty sure this is a bad idea." Said the Dawn of Fate.

Luminous stood behind the giant with the Dawn of Fate in hand.

"Well you heard Vainglorious, he needs our help." Said Luminous. "He said it was dire."

"Ya...but for a magic harp that you don't know what it does, Is it dire for all of us to get? Or just for him?"

"Well, he said it was dire so... Besides, I have Barrett's magic armor button, so it's fine."

"That armor might make you stronger but it doesn't make you invincible you know."

Ignoring the Dawn of Fate Luminous took a deep breath pressing the button with the heart on it. Her pink pajama top and black shorts were replaced with a pink leotard and red metal breastplate, with metal arm guards and boots.

"Hey! You! I'm over here!" Yelled Luminous picking up a rock and throwing it at the giant.

The giant turned around. A wicked grin pantied on his face. A chill ran down Luminous' spine when she caught his eye.

"Of all the people in this tent the weakest dares to challenge me?" Laughed Fe Fi Fo. "Where is the bitty brat with powerful ice magic? Or the ranger who is leagues stronger and taller than you?"

Luminous gulped, her voice getting stuck in her throat. She couldn't help but stare at Vainglorious who was making his way up the beanstalk with his ice magic, to get to the harp above him. How is he so calm right now?

"Who needs the other buffoons?" Said the Dawn of Fate. "They're only going to slow us down. You can't defeat us if you can't catch us."

"Huh? What?" Asked Luminous.

"I mean you have decent dexterity states, and you don't have to fight him necessarily to keep him away from Vainglorious. So that was your plan, right? To outrun him?"

"Ohh...uhh.." Luminous gave an awkward smile.

"You were planning something besides winging it right bird brain?!" Yelled the Dawn of Fate.

"Ya...I mean, Ya! Come and get us!" Luminous said sticking out her tongue.

"Why you little!" Yelled the giant lifting his club up above his head. "A little girl like you thinks you can defeat me?! What a joke!"

"Okay, now doge!" Yelled the Dawn of Fate.

Luminous ran from the ginormous club, her enchanted boots making it easier to run as she barely made it, the club hitting the dirt ground. The shockwaves lifting her off the ground a bit as she stumbled to stay on her feet. Her arm guards glowed as she absorbed the shock energy from the giants' attack.

"Woah! That was a powerful hit!" Said the Dawn of Fate. "I bet between two to three more strikes like that and we will be able to throw his energy back out to him to keep him away from us and uh Vainglorious to I guess. Keep dodging for now."

"Uh, sure..." Said Luminous looked back to Vainglorious who was almost halfway to the harp.

"You're going to die tinny weakling!" Yelled the giant swinging his club again.

Luminous ran to the side barely missing it again. Her arm guards glowed with the shock energy. The glow lasted this time. Energy busing around in her metal arm guards.

"Alright wait for your opportunity and send it out!" Said the Dawn of Fate.

The giant went to swing again, but before he could Luminous crossed her arms together sending an energy wave out of them. Wind blew around the tent from the energy output. Luminous' short hair blew around her head. Fe Fi Fo slid back a little bit on the ground he had to grip the ground to stop himself from siding any farther. Vainglorious had to cling to his ice tower to keep from falling all the way back down.

"That's was excellent!" Said the Dawn of Fate. "I bet with a couple more hits like that and we will be all..."

Before Luminous and the Dawn of Fate knew it the giant jumped. Fe Fi Fo landed right next to Luminous, the ground shook causing her to tumble, the armor took up damage until it disappeared back into the armor button. Leaving Luminous laying on her stomach on the ground in her black shorts and unbuttoned shirt again.

"I'm going to squash you like a bug!" Yelled Fe Fi Fo.

Luminous looked up from the ground to see that Vainglorious had gotten to the top of the beanstalk. Vainglorious looked back to Luminous right as he grabbed the harp, Fe Fi Fo was so busy focusing on Luminous that he could leave through the opening and the giant would be none the wiser.

Vainglorious began climbing out of the window, one of his legs was already out of the triangle shaped gap in the beanstalk tent. Vainglorious smirked as he watched Luminous' eyes widen with the realization that he was leaving her there to fend for herself.

"That's right, it's nothing personal, just survival of the fittest." Vainglorious thought to himself. "You must hate me for tricking you into helping me. Only for me to leave you there. But I got what I wanted, so you can feel free to hate me all you want, just like everyone else."

"Don't stop Vainglorious! Keep running!" Luminous yelled using up what little strength she had left.

Vainglorious stopped smirking, startled that the girl he was purposely abandoning for himself was more concerned about him right now.

"You have to get out of here! It's too dangerous!" Luminous yelled. "Save yourself!"

"Don't worry, I was going to..." Thought Vainglorious. "Worry more about yourself, stupid."

But leaving Luminous behind didn't seem as funny to him anymore. This was surprisingly easier when the people he tricked cursed him out for it. But there's nothing to do about it now anyway, if Vainglorious cast a spell the giant would surely turn his attention towards him. He didn't need that sort of trouble, and with that Vainglorious climbed out of the open window in the beanstalk and was gone.

"Fe Fi Fo thumb!" Laughed the giant, his foot hovering above Luminous. "I'm going to swallow you down quickly so you'll come right out my...AHHHH!"

Fe Fi Fo screamed in agony falling on his back. A tall muscular ranger in a red hood sliced up the bottom of the giant's foot with his greatsword.

"Barrett!" Luminous yelled in shock. "You came back!"

"No duh! You still own me, remember?" Barrett said, grabbing Luminous' hand and pulling her up. "You can't pay me if you're dead after all!"

"So you stormed a giant's hideout just to get a little extra boon?" Asked the Dawn of Fate as Barrett began to run with Luminous in tow. "I'm not buying it. I think you've gotten sweet on the girl."

"Shut up sword! It's not a little extra boon, it's a lot of extra boon! A lot of extra boon that can go into potions to heal my grandmother. That's what makes this worth it!" Barrett then glanced at the short blonde girl. Blushing when he noticed that her pink chicken shirt was completely unbuttoned."Besides it's not like I could leave the poor girl alone with you for a second, I mean why is she basically topless?!" Asked Barrett glaring at the Dawn of Fate.

"Hey, don't look at me like I'm some sort of pervert." Said the sword. "She did it herself."

"Ya right!"

Barrett, Luminous, and the Dawn of Fate made it outside of the beanstalk tent into the bright white moonlight when they heard a scream in the distance.

"AHHH!"

"That sounds like Vainglorious!" Said Luminous.

"That sounds like someone got caught in one of my traps I set up earlier." Smirked Barett.

Luminous ran to the side of the beanstalk tent where she heard the screams. She saw Vainglorious hog tied on the ground right below the window he claimed out of.

"Are you okay Vainglorious?!" Exclaimed Luminous.

Vainglorious turned his head towards her, his pale face going flushed.

"Don't you dare laugh! It's not funny!" Vainglorious yelled.

"Oh it's a little funny." Laughed the Dawn of Fate.

"Shut up!"

Barrett walked around the corner joining the rest of the group. Vainglorious gray eyes landed on the taller teen before they quickly looked down towards the harp. Barrett's eyes followed Vainglorious', but before Vainglorious could lunge towards the harp in an attempt to grab it with his teeth Barrett kicked the harp up towards himself with the metal tip of his leather combat boot catching it in his hands.

"And just what were you planning to do with this?" Smirked Barrett, rubbing his chin with the harp.

"Give it back!" Yelled Vainglorious. "The graceful look of her Beauty at first glance, but her glare will prick you if you dare ask her to dance!" Chanted Vainglorious.

Ice flew out of the sleeves of Vainglorious' navy trench coat and around the ground.

"Watch out!" Said Barrett, pulling Luminous behind him.

The ice continued to fly around Vainglorious whizzing by Barrett and Luminous, some of it cutting the ropes tied around Vainglorious' wrist and ankles. A wicked grin sported Vainglorious' pale face until he felt a throbbing around his neck.

"Ahhh!" Vainglorious screamed rolling over in pain.

"Don't strain yourself there." Said Barrett. "You should know your own limits by now."

"You mean the restrictions that are forced on me by the magic consul!" Growled Vainglorious. "Because they're not my limits."

"I wouldn't bother breaking out of my ropes anyways, they've been enchanted so not even a Bandersnatch can chew its way out through it."

"That's impossible, to be able to do that you would have to..."

Vainglorious looked back at the ropes, but they were already repaired and looked as if a storm of ice hadn't been cutting through it at all. Vainglorious put his head down in defeat, leaving only the top of his snowy white hair visible.

"But, I don't get it, don't we need the harp?" Asked Luminous from behind Barrett."Vainglorious said it was dire."

"Did he now?" Barrett smirked. "Did he say anything beyond that?"

Luminous scrunched her eyebrows in thought.

"N...no, not really." She admitted.

"Have you ever heard of the world's seven deadly sins?"

"Seven deadly sins?"

"You mean the seven enchanted instruments of song that have the power to possess people's darkness desires?" Asked the Dawn of Fate.

"Well meet the song of sloth." Said Barrett holding up the tiny harp. "The song of sloth is able to put anyone in a drowsy endless slumbering state."

"Well, what in tarnation is a giant doing with something like that?" Asked the Dawn of Fate. "As a matter of fact, what's a hobbledehoy like you planning on doing with something like that?"

"Why don't you let me up and find out?" Smirked Vainglorious from behind his curtain of snowy white hair. "I'll show you what potential I and my power could have in a world without the restrictions of the magic council, or the queens' of the five kingdoms getting in my way."

"You're an anarchist!" Yelled the Dawn of Fate.

"And that's why I'll be holding onto this from now on." Said Barrett hooking the harp onto his belt.

"Fe Fi Fo thumb, I'll crush you no matter where you run!" Sing Shouted Fe Fi Fo.

The ground became shaky again with the giant tromping around.

"Smells like he's getting close, we should go." Said Barrett. "I set up another trap not that far from here. We can snag him in that one."

"Wait, what about Vainglorious? We can't just leave him here." Asked Luminous.

"Yes we could, the little cad has been nothing but trouble." Said the Dawn of Fate.

"Don't worry, I plan to turn him into the counsel after I get you out of here." Said Barrett picking the hogtied boy up and slinging his slender body over his strong shoulders.

Luminous ran with Barrett into the forest when Fe Fi Fo turned the corner of the tent spotting them.

"It doesn't matter what you have done, I do what I do because it's fun." Sing shouted Fe Fi Fo chasing after Luminous and the others.

Luminous got to a clearing surrounded by auburn trees.

"Careful, I set my trap around here." Barrett stopped her with his arm.

He pointed out the net that was covered under piles of red and yellow leaves. It was so well hidden that Luminous had to look closely to even notice it.

Barrett grabbed Luminous' hand, and Luminous couldn't help but notice how warm his hands were through his leather fingerless gloves as he led her around the net. Fe Fi Fo's footsteps could be felt from the ground as he drew nearer.

"Hey! Watch it!" Yelled Vainglorious when Barrett dropped him right underneath a tree.

"Be a good little boy for me and stay there." Said Barrett grabbing his great sword from the sheath on his back. "And for your sake, you better hope this works since I'm the only one that can get that rope off of you."

Vainglorious scowled at Barrett from the ground.

"Don't worry Vainglorious I'll make sure the giant won't hurt you." Luminous smiled gently at him unsheathing the Dawn of Fate from her back.

Her and Barrett stood battle-ready on the other side of the net. Waiting, but they didn't have to wait for long Fe Fi Fo stomped in, stopping right at the edge of where the net was.

"What run out of places to run and hide?" Laughed Fe Fi Fo.

"I'm sorry did you say something?" Asked the Dawn of Fate. "My eyes were too busy burning trying to look at a big palooka like you."

"Why you little!" Yelled Fe Fi Fo storming towards the group.

The big lumpy giant stepped into the center of the net, it magically wrapped around him causing him to fall to the ground creating a good size crater.

"Yes! It work! Eat it you giant bag of flab!" Cheered the Dawn of Fate.

"Honestly, that was a long shot." Sighed Barrett wiping the sweat off his brow. "Even I'm kind of surprised."

However, Fe Fi Fo flexed in his restaurants until his muscles bulged so much that the rope snapped off into a million pieces.

"Well then...uhh..." started the Dawn of Fate. "Got a plan B, little red?"

"Are you kidding me!" Yelled Barrett."Why can't this guy just die!"

Luminous pressed the heart shaped button down onto her shirt, but nothing happened. She jabbed the button a few more times with her dainty finger, but nothing happened.

"Hey, my button is not working! What's going on?"

"You used it recently and used up all its power, it needs time to recharge." Said Barrett. "That's okay I don't need you anyways you would just slow me down. Take Vainglorious and run, it's about to become explosive out here!" He said charging Fe Fi Fo.

The giant raised his club above his head ready to strike. When Barrett threw a green ball that he had in his pants pocket at the giant, knocking his arrow into his bow, firing it at the round thing he threw. He swiftly turned around his muscular back pressed up against a tree, the ball then exploded on contact and blew up all over the giant's stomach. Barrett's long braided brown hair, and red hood blew around his head from the gust of wind that came from the exposition, but when he looked back the giant was only slightly burnt.

"So it's going to take a couple more of those huh?" Barrett said to himself. "Tch! Typical."

The giant reached for Barrett when he dogged, digging the heels of his combat boots into the tree, running up it. He threw another one of his grenades at the giant, it exploded on Fe Fi Fo's shoulder singeing him. Before the gigant could hit Barrett out of the tree he threw another grenade then jumped into the air over his head.

"I feel like we should be doing something to help." Said Luminous.

"You shouldn't do anything, with all these explosives flying around you'll only get in his way." Replied the Dawn of Fate.

Barrett's hood fell off of his head leaving the top of his spiky wild hair exposed to the white moonlight. His rosewood eyes seemingly glowed as he focused his bow to shoot at the gearnade. The explosion hit Fe Fi Fo right in the face blinding him. But before Barrett's heavy combat boot could touch the tree on the other side of the clearing Fe Fi Fo snached him out of the sky by his red hood flinging him into the air.

Barrett whizzed across the clearing right by Luminous' ear hitting his back on the tree next to Vainglorious. He arched his back in pain as he slowly slid down.

"Barrett!" Yelled Luminous.

Fe Fi Fo lifted his club above his head to strike them all down when Luminous ran forward.

"Blade expansion!" Yelled Luminous, the Dawn of Fates blade expanded five times bigger then it was.

Fe Fi Fo's huge club clashed with Luminous' gass vermillion blade. Luminous struggled holding up the club. The weight of the Dawn of Fate along with the club was unbearable for her tiny arms. Leaves spring up into the air as Luminous' knees buckled under the weight slamming into the ground.

"Dang nabbit kid!" Yelled the Dawn of Fate. "I told you that you didn't have full control over this power! You're going to be crushed to death you know!"

"I know." Said Luminous sweat dripped from her faire forehead across her colorful bandanas.

"You what?!"

"I know!" Painiced Luminous, her blue eyes widened and staring up at the giant through her blonde bangs. "I know! I know!"

Barrett tried to stand back up when he saw Luminous quickly being overwhelmed by the giant. But he got up and immediately doubled over in pain throwing up.

Barrett stayed on his hands in knees, his chest heaving as he glared at the ground.

"You know I could help, but I kind of have my hands tied right now." Smirked Vainglorious wiggling his shoulders.

"Like I would release you so you can run off." Breathed Barrett.

"How about we make a deal instead?" Asked Vainglorious. "How about if I use my ice magic to freeze this thing you can never report me to the magical console again?"

Barrett stared at Luminous who was now leaning her neck in an odd position to try to avoid being crushed by Fe Fi Fo's club.

"So pinky promise?" Asked Vainglorious.

"You know though kinds of dark binding spells are forbidden!" Snaped Barrett.

"Oh, who's going to report me for it? You?" Vainglorious stuck out his tongue. "You might want to hurry, or your new crush is going to be crushed."

Barrett looked between Luminous with the giant, to Vainglorious who was calmly sitting tied up underneath the tree grinning like the little weasel he was.

"Fine!" Seethed Barrett cutting the tip of his pinky with the knife, then doing the same with Vainglorious. "I pinky promise I won't ever report you to the magic console again, if you freeze the giant Fe Fi Fo." Barrett wrapped his large pinky around Vainglorious' tiny one. And by the way his finger tingled Barrett knew the bond worked.

Barrett snapped his fingers and the ropes around Vainglorious' wrist and ankles undid themselves. The boy stood up like he had just gotten out of bed in the morning and began rolling his shoulders and head around.

"We have a pinky promise! Now do something!" Yelled Barrett.

"Hold on a minute, I think you might have dislocated my shoulder or something."

"Vainglorious I swear if you...!"

"The sweat of the hardened, the tears of the bold, Every ounce of water turns solid cold!" Chanted Vainglorious pointing his wand at the giant.

A little ice shard went into Fe Fi Fo's chest. But before he knew what was happening the ice began to spread. Fe Fi Fo stopped crushing Luminous and took his club and began hitting his body to try to break up the ice that started to surround him.

"We should get going!" Yelled the Dawn of Fate.

Luminous ran away from Fe Fi Fo the first chance she got. The ice continued to surround the giant getting thicker and thicker.

"Darn it, Vainglorious what kind of spell did you use?" Asked Barrett.

"It's called Ice Coffin, it basically entraps the victim in a prison of ice using the surrounding moisture. That includes moisture from the air, and from inside his own body."

Barrett looked towards Vainglorious only to see him smirking wickedly at the giant who slowly became encased in ice.

"I made a deal with a demon..." Barrett thought to himself. "No one should have that kind of power."

The giant Fe Fi Fo became completely frozen in ice. Luminous, Barrett, and the Dawn of Fate all stared up in a mix of surprise and terror.

"Well, I held up my end of the bargen, so I think I'll let myself out of this madness." Vainglorious continued to smirk, pointing his nose up in the air all proud of himself. "Bye bye dipwads! I hope we never met again!"

Vainglorious turned around to leave, his navy blue trench coat swaying behind himself. When Fe Fi Fo broke out of the ice shattering it into little pieces.

"That's impossible! That's one of my strongest spells!" Said Vainglorious.

Fe Fi Fo lifted his club up above his head prepared to strike.

"Morgause! You promised me ultimate power Morgause! Don't betray me Morgause, princess of crows!"

Luminous lifted up the Dawn of Fate to block the rampaging giant, when a light shot through the sky like a beacon right into the giant's heart. The light was blinding as it spread from the inside out, cracking the giant's skin until he turned to black dust.

There was only one person Luminous knew who had light magic like that. Her heart beat a mile a minute filling with hope.

"Master Mouse?"

Luminous turned to see where the light had come from, but instead of a small mouse there was a girl about her age standing on a tree. Her snow white skin was illuminated by the bright white moonlight, her nuns outfit flowing in the wind as the ashes of Fe Fi Fo snowed down in little flakes onto them.

"And who are you?" Asked the Dawn of Fate.

"I am someone you cannot miss,"said the woman in the nuns outfit, jumping from the tree. "My name is sister Abyss." She seemingly floated down until she was standing in front of Luminous.

Luminous looked into Abyss' crescent moon eyes. Her eyes were a beautiful deep blue, and if Luminous kept staring she could have gotten lost in them.

"You're really pretty."

"Oh, uh.." Abyss blinked, a little taken aback. "Thank you..."

"Grr!"

Suddenly there was growling in the distance. The whole clearing lit up with wide yellow eyes. The creatures spread it's black wings out.

"Sorry to disrupt, but you might want to get out of here and run while you can." Said Abyss. "I can hold them off while you go."

"I can stay here with you and help." Said Luminous.

"There's too many of them! You have to get out of here before they surround you!" Said the Dawn of Fate. "Besides you can't do soul connect yet so you would be dead if you try to take on this many corrupted bats at once."

"But I can't just leave a lovely lady out here by herself." Said Luminous thinking of what Chasm, or one of the hero's in her book would do. "That wouldn't be very heroic of me."

"That's lovely of you dear," smiled Abyss. "But you might want to get him out of here before he dies." She pointed towards Barrett who was hunched over holding his side. "Besides, I'm a big girl and I can take care of myself."

"Not to mention you're also a lady shortstuff." Said the Dawn of Fate.

Luminous bit her lip, remembering what happened to Master Mouse when she left him to fight that gigantic corrupt by himself.

"But I..."

"I'll be fine, I promise you'll see me again sweetie." Said Abyss.

Something about the way Abyss confidently promised her survival was reassuring. Luminous let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in, before running over to Barrett and draping his muscular arm over her shoulder. Barrett leaned into her neck unable to stand to his full height, but was careful not to put all his weight on her.

"We...we should head back to Tavern Den." Breathed Barrett.

"You two got me into this mess you better get me out!" Snapped Vainglorious.

"Just shut your pie whole and ice the corrupt bats as they come by." Said the Dawn of Fate.

The bats swarned and were on top of them in an instant. Each of them screeching at the top of their lungs and clawing. Vainglorious pointed his wand in front of himself.

"Too much heartbreak so you put up a wall, not even summer will make the ice thaw!"

An ice shield appeared in front of the small white haired boy and all the bats bounced off of it. But they didn't stop there, the corrupted bats kept clawing and attacking it relentlessly.

"Keep up if you losers want, but I'm not going to wait up for you!" Yelled Vainglorious mowing over the bats with his ice shield as he ran forward.

Luminous followed behind him with Barrett. They ran through the dark forest like that until.

"Just a little up ahead. I can smell Concord's burt porkrost from here." Laughed Barrett, before he began coffing.

Vainglorious picked up speed when he also saw the lamp lites from the Tavern Den. That's when all the corrupted bats in unison screeched. The ice shield spell couldn't take anymore and shattered into pieces. In the next instant the corrupted bats swarmed the group.

They began pulling Vainglorious' wavy white hair and navy blue trench coat, knocking the birch wand out of his hand.

"Vainglorious!" Yelled Luminous, but before she could do anything the bats swarmed her and Barrett.

"Dang nabbit! This is why we had to keep moving!" Yelled the Dawn of Fate.

Vainglorious kept using his ice powers on the bats until he felt the throbbing sensation on his neck and fell over. Even Barrett picked himself up to try to fight off the bats.

"What do we do then?" Luminous said, frantically swinging the Dawn of Fate at the corrupted bats with no avail.

"If you could do soul connection, a whole lot!" Yelled the Dawn of Fate. "But since you can't we're all dead!. Guess I'll wait in the archive of records for the next wealder."

"Don't say that! I can figure it out!" Yelled Luminous, she breathed reaching deep down in her core. "Come on, deep down! Deep down!"

Suddenly an arrow whizzed by shooting one of the bats that was tugging on her short blonde hair pining it to the ground.

"I did it!" Cheard Luminous.

"Uh, shortstuff, that wasn't you." Said the Dawn of Fate.

More arrows came from around them shooting the rest of the bats out of the sky. Until all the bat's either turned to dust disappearing or flew away in defeat.

"Grinnin?!"

Luminous looked up to see a man who had his short lime green hair in a pony tale, his light blue eyes wide behind his bangs as he ran up to them with a lantern in his gloved hand while a group of tavern goers with bows stood back in a group chatting among themselves.

"Grinnin!" Yelled the lime green haired man throwing his arms around Barrett.

"Concord?" Barrett winced with the sudon touch. "I thought I told you not..." Barrett began seeing spots in his vision. "...call me by..." His rosewood eyes rolled to the back of his head.

"Grinnin!" Screamed Concord. "Someone help me bring him up stairs!"

"Ya, ya I got him." Said Mahzim wrapping Barrett's arm around his shoulder and lifting him up off the ground onto his back.

Concord went up to Luminous with his lantern in hand.

"Are you alright?" Asked Concord tucking his bangs behind his ears before reaching his hand out towards Luminous.

Luminous grabbed his leather gloved hand as he pulled her up.

"It's just I noticed you were hurt and I thought I would...."Concord was scanning Luminous for injuries, when he noticed that he could see her bra because her shirt buttons were unbuttoned. He turned bright red and immediately looked away. "Well anyways you can stay in the tavern to heal up just ask me anytime if you need anything my rooms the first one the right!" Concord squeaked out in one breath before walking back to the tavern mumbling nervously to himself. "Stupid Concord, stupied."

"Why did he leave in such a rush?" Asked Luminous.

"You and your antics make things hard, you know that?" Said the Dawn of Fate. "Pun intended."

"What's that mean?"

"It means that you should, I don't know, probably, button up your shirt dingus!" Yelled the Dawn of Fate.

Luminous looked down at her unbuttoned pink chicken pattern shirt.

"Oh, right..."

Luminous finish buttoning up her shirt when she noticed Vainglorious walking away back into the forest.

Wait! Vainglorious, where are you going?"

"Uh, back to my hideout." Said Vainglorious rolling his eyes. "I lost my one ticket to unlock my full potential...so I guess I'm going back to the drawing board. Unless you know of some other magical item I can use?"

Luminous thought back to when she first met Vainglorious and remembered that he was really intrigued that her sword could talk.

"Wait what about the Dawn of Fate?" Asked Luminous.

"Your talking sword? What about him?" Asked Vainglorious.

"You wanted to know how the sword was enacted right?"

"But you said you didn't enchant it. How would you know?"

"Well, I didn't enchant it. But I never said I didn't know who did..."

"Enchanting items to talk, is rare. No one knows how it's done. Whoever you know must be a really rare yet really powerful. Maybe even more powerful than the storm wizard Zealous was." Said Vainglorious rubbing his hairless porcelain chin. "So...who's your friend?"

"You know I could introduce you to him." Said Luminous looking to the ground. "But, I have to save my friends from the crow king first. So..." Luminous looked towards the little boy who seemed deep in thought by now. "You know it would go faster if I actually had someone with power, but I guess I'll just take forever." She sighed.

"Don't push it. I'll think." The boy emphasized the word think. "About helping you save your friend the "prince" if you introduce me to your powerful wizard friend. But for now I'm exhausted and I'm going to go take a nap, so goodnight." Said Vainglorious going inside the Tavern Den.

"You know I'm over 1000 years old, right?" Asked the Dawn of Fate. "Not even I remember my creator. For all I know he's dead."
