Ian flung his remote at the TV screen after shutting it off.

Ian knew that if he was caught not only will he be subject to the wrath of the K.I. group but his dad will also abandon him, his rich life without a worry in the world would come to an end the second his crime would be discovered. the work he put in building up his image to take over his dad's company in the future will be blown to smithereens

"babe, calm down what happened?" Ella was confused as she didn't know that Ian had a fiance and neither did she know that Ian was the one who orchestrated the demise of Techzen.

he stood up in rage and knocked Ella down as she was leaning on him while wearing black lingerie.

"those bunch of stupid assholes now want to 'thoroughly investigate' this matter! shit will get real if I get caught! that damn bastard Leo will be the first one to get caught and he will lead them to me"

he started walking in circles around the couch, scratching his chin thinking of what move should he make next.

Ella looked at him worriedly "babe, you alright?"

he looked at her with his wild eyes "yeah that's right! I could go back to that slut! I will ask her to take back the investigation! she can go to jail for me! I will marry her first and then ask her to do that! that lovesick idiot would do anything if I marry her!" he said as he laughed maniacally.

Ella was genuinely thinking that either Ian was on drugs or he had broken down for some reason. "babe?"

"shut up bitch! get the fu*k out of my house right now!" he screamed at her.

"I said get out! now! did you think we were in a relationship or something! let me break it to you, you are nothing more than a sex doll I bought, I bought you so I can throw you out anytime!"

"fine!" she said as she ran out of Ian's home with wobbly naked feet and with lingerie on.

she didn't realize it but maybe she had fallen in love with Ian, not Ian the person but Ian the person with a credit card with no limit, but she couldn't deny that after being with Ian for 3 months she had actually become physiologically dependent on him, while she looked at adam as a mere errand boy she was sure he would never betray her, that's why when dating Ian she gladly assumed that Ian wouldn't betray her, but deep inside she knew, adam was a low risk, low return investment while Ian was an extreme risk, extreme return investment but her consciousness only looked at the returns. she took Adam for granted. but the two days she had been living without him asking, what do you want for dinner or how was your day and even hearing his voice, to be honest, she felt empty and to fill that emptiness she wanted to use Ian, but even Ian had now left her. she was now regretting what she had done, she felt like maybe it was karma.

she thought all this as she was sitting on a roadside, just in her lingerie, crying. it was practically nighttime now, it had started to get cold, not many cars were driving by and not many people were walking either, most people just chose to ignore her or just look at her like she was some exotic animal in the zoo.

a few minutes later by total coincidence a black ZMW stopped in front of her. the person who came out from it was Adam, she felt pain in her heart, she didn't know how to face him. he knelt down to her face drenched with tears and snot, he could tell she had been crying horribly. he sighed "Ian dumped you?"

Adam didn't really want to help her out but he remembered the day when Ella helped him out when he was in the dumps when he completely flunked the first test in uni, that was precisely the reason why adam fell in love with Ella.

even though Ella deeply regretted what she had done just to adam she literally hugged him and cried "Adam!" adam could hear her sniffles, she cried his name a few times while hugging him and then eventually calmed down, when she was back to her senses she pulled herself back immediately, she rubbed her bare arms a bit and said sorry in a tiny voice.

adam instinctively put the jacket he was wearing on her.

even though he felt like kicking her in the face, just seeing her face full of tears and snot even made him pity her a bit, the last time he had seen her like this was when her grandmother had passed away, she cried for straight 24 hrs!

he also felt hurt that she didn't even shed a single tear when she broke up with him while she is crying rivers for Ian.

He sighed again, "get up, I'll drop you at your home, while we have a very awkward chat which may or may not help you and I both move on, cuz I think we need to have one."
