Getting Geared up

Jackie awoke up feeling pretty excited about the day and so he left his room after taking a shower and waited outside of the hotel. He got up even earlier today to get ready for the day. He looked around and saw his four subordinates, standing at attention, waiting for him.

He smiled, but he knew that beneath it was a hardness that was never absent. He knew that these four men had the potential to become made men, and so he will give them the opportunity to prove themselves to him and the family.

"Good morning, everyone," he said.

The four men bowed in unison.

"Let's go," he commanded.

The five of them began to move, winding their way through the bustling streets of the city. Jackie moved with a purpose, leading the way.

They reached a gun shop, and Jackie paused to look around. This was the shop he'd found 2 days ago and he had a feeling that it could provide them with just what they needed. He motioned for the four men to follow him inside.

The shop was small but well-stocked, with all the weaponry and supplies they could need. Jackie stepped up to the counter and pointed to several pistols, four boxes of ammunition, and four bulletproof vest. He also bought four combat knives for all of them just in case in battle if they ever happen to lose their guns they will have their knife still to defend themselves with. The old shop owner smoking a pipe looked at him with a raised eyebrow seeing how much he's buying.

"These are for us," he said.

The shopkeep rang up the items and Jackie handed him the cash. Then, all five of them left the shop, each with their own weapon and ammunition. And for some reason the four men looked happy to have guns for themselves. And Jackie just chalked it up to them belonging to the slums and how they would be able to protect themselves now. Because Jackie knew that the slums of Gotham City is never safe.

Jackie next led them to a suit shop. He went in and spoke to the shopkeep, telling him he'd like four custom-made suits. and told him what type of suits he'd like and what exact materials he wants as well, Italian Armani suit with a leather coat made out of black crocodile or full grain cloven. The shopkeep looked at him with surprise and told him that it would be extra because of the materials he picked. and Jackie agreed to his request instantly not afraid to spend money now that he has a lot of it. And so the shop owner went by and did there measurements. the shop owner said they would have to come back in a few hours for pickup. and Jackie handed him the cash and left the shop with his four men.

Jackie then asked his men if any of them had any means of communicating or had a phone. And they all shook their head no so Jackie with a sigh decided he should also probably buy them all phones so they can talk to each other. he's also going to buy a couple burner phones you can never be too safe after all.

Jackie then looked around trying to find a phone store and he managed to find one. Jackie went inside and ordered eight phones and the owner looked at Jackie with a happy and greedy expression on his face. he tried to swindle more money out of Jackie but he stopped when he saw the four men behind him. And instead he lowered the prices out of fear which in turn Jackie laughed at.

Jackie then gave the men two phones each. and told him that the first phone he gave them was for if he ever needed to talk to each other or meet up. He then told them that the second phone should only be used in emergencies and that they should destroy the phone after the conversation or the reason they called.

Jackie then walked around and decided he should buy food for the boys. so he stopped at an Italian restaurant that looked like it was for the elite. And when Jackie went in they tried to stop him because of the four men following him were wearing dirty and messed up clothes but Jackie just gave them extra money and they let them in with a smile on their faces for the extra cash.

Jackie then ordered multiple plates of Pizza,

Pasta, and Arancini he also ordered two bottles of Prosecco. His men was surprised with the food and wine because they never had anything this luxurious seeing as though they're from the slums. But Jackie just smiled and told them to dig in. And so Jackie and his boys ate the food and drunk the wine to their hearts content. Not caring about how much noise they're making and how they are disturbing the other guests.

When they were done eating Jackie then decided it was probably time to get them some better clothes as well, better than the ones they are wearing so that people stopped looking down on them. Jackie then left the restaurant with his man and headed towards a clothing store. he eventually found one after walking around for a bit. He went inside and picked out a couple pairs of clothes for the men. It was black long t-shirts, with black military cargo pants. Jackie paid the owner and left the store.

"Alrighty boys all we have to do now is go pick up our suits but before we go I have something to say". Jackie said to the men who was now wearing some of their new clothes. while holding the other pairs in their bags.

"I think that now that you guys have some money you guys should move out of the slums and get an apartment or something with the money I gave you". Jackie told the four men because the slums we're just too far away and he would like to have access to them at all times if he ever wanted something.

"No problem boss we'll try to find a place for us to move to". The four men said in unison to Jackie which caused a smile to appear on Jackie's face. I'm glad to see that they have the proper etiquette already down and that I didn't have to drill it into them.

"Alright boys I think it's about time to go pick up our suits". Jackie told his men and then they started to head back towards the suit shop. When they reached the shop their suits were in prime ready condition. So each man grabbed one suit each for themselves. Jackie then thanked the shop owner and left the shop. Only to suddenly bump into another group of people who were wearing suits as well. And in response to Jackie bumping into them the man that Jackie bumped into just looked at Jackie's group with disdain and walked past them into the store. Jackie did note though that they all had guns on their hips, they must be another Mafia family I got to look up more about the groups of Gotham Jackie thought to himself.

Back on the street, Jackie turned to his men and he said. "You guys are now considered members of the family but not full-fledged members but do not let that discourage you because if you work hard and be loyal you guys will be made into made men.

The four men nodded in agreement understanding that they're still at the bottom but if they work hard they could be at the top.

Jackie stopped them in the street and said, "It's time for you to go out and spread the word. Chat with people you trust and try to get them on board. We need more members in the family, and I want you to be the ones to make that happen."

The men nodded in understanding and Jackie watched them walk away. He knew he had chosen well, and he was sure they would be successful.

He stood in the street for a moment, taking in the city around him. He finally had people under his lead and he would make sure his Mafia family was a success.
