UNDERSTANDING LADY CELINE chapter thirteen
The Court had settled and was waiting for the queen to come. Crown prince Alexandro sat crossed leg waiting for his mother, why was she late, she never did anything right in his eye now this... He scoffed. Just then, she came and they all bowed, crown prince Alexandro stood and greeted her. She greeted the court and they started their discussion. It was the eldest, sir Gomez that spoke. "We have a problem with the tax, your highness", she nodded for him to go on. "Their is an uprising riot among the people ". The queen didn't look surprised. "Why? If I may ask". This time it was sir Gregory who spoke, "The tax have been increased for those in the civil service". There was murmuring , crown prince Alexandro thought about it why were they increasing the tax when the people have suffered too much. Luke then suggested, "Let us reduce the tax by by three percent..." Before he could finish, lord Stefani spoke, "Are you trying to make us reduce tax when it needs increasing?". There was murmuring amongst them . "Hear me out, your majesty ", he said and she permitted him. " We reduce the tax by three percent then after a month we increase it by six percent because of the increament of imported med facilities . Then due to the removal of oil subsidy it would increase to seven percent and counting". There was murmuring but more of approval. "That is definitely a good idea". The crown prince Alexandro looked at his so called mother , was she bluffing, "The people would suffer! The removal of subsidy could cause serious inflation", he said shaking his head and disapproving of such a stupid and greedy request. "The queen said, "It is done. "
The Court had been dismissed and the two, mother and son sat. Crown prince Alexandro stood to his feet. "How could you do such a thing, mother. Do you care about the people you rule over?". The queen nodded busy with some files that looked less important. "I made a suggestion and you ignored me. Do you really not want to rest, or are you afraid of the reformation that would take place when I become king?", He said looking angry. The queen dropped the files and stared at her son. "Alexandro. I Know what's best for the people and for us. I know what's best for you". He nodded. "I would've been sitting on that throne if you cared". And walked out on her leaving her to her exalted loneliness.
Crown prince Alexandro walked fast , his eyes blazing, he remembered what Lady Celine had said when she described Xavier's market place, if inflation reached its peak, he wondered who this woman would rule. Not looking and lost in thoughts, he jmed into the only person he kept seeing and bumping into since she entered the palace. "Watch it", he said and she fired back, she was also not in a good mood. "I should be the one telling you that". He looked at her lost in words. "You weren't watching where you were going and jammed into me, you should apologize". He scoffed, who the hell did this woman think she was. "You also weren't looking", he said and she laughed a mocking laugh. "How was court today?", She asked innocently, he sighed. "Not your concern".
"Bad right, your opinions ignored like you were nothing just a tiny pebble lost in the Sahara", she said and he rolled his eyes. Where was she getting at . "Well, I didn't spoil your mood, go take it out on your mother!"". That was shocking. "You..."
"My apologies won't make you feel better, I'm sorry. Well has it?", She said and eyed him. "Well if you apologize, I could feel better". He said nothing. This woman was difficult to understand, one moment she's happy, the other she's lashing at you as though you were still in preschool . "Cat caught your tongue, your highness?". Just then, lady Gwen came and seeing what had happened, flared up
"How dare you speak to the crown prince like that, you ill mannered woman!". Celine looked at lady Gwen and laughed. What a boomer. Celine looked at crown prince Alexandro one more time and shouldered him while passing. He stood there completely amazed, this woman was something else. who in all the earth could do this to him, the crown prince Alexandro of Xavier. This woman must have had a really rough time growing up.
"Your highness, are you alright?"

"Crown prin...". Crown prince Alexandro looked at the woman suddenly realizing himself. "I'll leave first ", he said and walked away. Who did that lady Celine think she was, a god whom everyone adored. Lady Gwen scoffed. She was nothing compared to a dead mice. She would show her... .
