Morsan finished making plans to train with Tizona before making his way down the stairs. At the foot of the stairs, he was greeted by an old man with white hair and a beard full of wrinkles. The innkeeper appeared relieved to see Morsan and smiled amiably at him.
But Morsan soon realized that everyone seemed to be overreacting to his presence. It was because of his first bloodline fusion, which had turned his eyes completely red. People who had known him for a long time started to suspect that he was possessed or cursed. Morsan pretended to be unaware of his change and could not explain it.
He finally convinced the innkeeper that he was fine and went to the restaurant for a well-balanced meal that cost him 75 copper pieces. After that, he visited the herb store and Leinny's shop to show he was fine, before heading to the weapon shop to order custom-made leather armor. His Chainmail had been destroyed, so he didn't want to hunt monsters until he had new equipment.
Despite his current stats and [Life Exchange] skill, he didn't want to worry the people he knew and go through the same tiring process as that day. Rumors about the kid who usually hunts weak monsters suddenly disappeared before reappearing three days later, and spread throughout Castle Town. It was then that Morsan realized how much he had underestimated his own popularity. On that very day, Tizona began to train him.
Most of Morsan's time was spent learning new combat techniques and Mana control after he had completely learned about body-strengthening techniques.
The body-strengthening techniques and martial arts that Tizona taught him changed Morsan's entire being. His muscle build changed incomparably compared to his peers. In three months, his basic status improved significantly, and he also learned how to resist Mana corruption when performing sacrificial rituals.
He only hunted monsters like Usapils until the next sacrificial ritual. In those three months, he also learned a lot of interesting things about the shop's function and how it determines the value of things.
The more he refines and adds value to the things, the more they can be sold in the shop function. For example, a whole Usapil corpse can be sold for 10 shop points, but if properly dismantled, its meat would be sold for 15 shop points and its fur for 10 shop points. If that meat is cooked properly, it can be sold for even more depending on its quality.
Secondly, the items shown in the shops depended on his skills. For example, the shop function showed items usable for dismantling and skinning because he had the dismantling skill. After he acquired herbal detection skills, another category was created in his shop function for buying things related to brewing medicine.
The shop function functioned like an artificial intelligence and took skills as keywords for adding new categories. Morsan spent more of his time dismantling monster corpses than hunting them, and Leinny was so happy that he bought the furs of Usapils for extra money as Morsan sold a lot of them in those three months.
Morsan was able to get rid of all the monster corpses in his inventory with the help of his shop function and Leinny. He only kept the monster meats in his inventory, which he used to cook his daily food as he needed a lot of nutrients for his body-strengthening techniques. When the demand for Usapil's fur decreased, he started hunting for different kinds of monsters in the area. He acquired a lot of skills due to bloodline fusion, and his new herbal detection skill helped him find high-quality herbs in the surroundings which he sold at a hefty price in the herbal store.
A week after Morsan returned, the Church announced certain prophecies of incoming waves. The dragon hourglasses showed a timer that decreased every second to show the time of the wave. However, only a small group of people, including Morsan, took this matter seriously. He started training himself even more intensely since then. Sword techniques that Tizona taught helped him a lot during the next blood sacrifice, and he leveled up tons and fused his bloodline with many monsters. After a year, it became incomparably easier to perform blood sacrifice.
On Morsan's seventh birthday, his shop function sold a limited edition item, a purple-colored Elixir for EXP boost.
There were four categories of EXP potions. The first category was the lesser EXP potion, which would increase the EXP gain by 50% for two days and cost 1000 shop points. The second category was the low-grade EXP potion, which would increase the EXP gain by 80% for three days and cost 3000 shop points. The third category was the mid-grade EXP potion, which would increase the EXP gain by 100% for three days and cost 5000 shop points. Finally, the fourth category was the high-grade EXP potion, which would increase the EXP gain by 200% for a week and cost an undisclosed number of shop points.
Despite his monster hunting and selling, Morsan could only buy one mid-grade EXP potion within the time limit; however, it helped him immensely. Two years later, on his eighth birthday, another limited-time offer opened in the shop. This time, Morsan was well prepared and had saved a lot of shop points for this moment. He bought 10 high-grade and 5 lesser EXP potions immediately.
That year, Morsan began exploring ruins to find new monsters since he had already acquired almost all types of bloodlines from the Melromarc's surroundings. By the end of that year, he found a good three-story house with a lot of space in its background at the outside area of a castle town that was being sold for 50 gold pieces. Unfortunately, Morsan was short 20 gold pieces to buy that house. To make up for the lack of funds, Morsan auctioned off a high-grade recovery potion with a purification effect, two lesser-grade EXP potions, and a Unique potion that helps to strengthen poison immunity, which he had bought from his system shop through Leinny's connection.
But he didn't know at that point, the potions he sold would change the course of the whole world greatly.
