The Purple-haired teenager's face lit up with a delightful smile as soon as he caught sight of Morsan.
He warmly approached Morsan by extending his arm towards him, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
The vibrant hue of his hair perfectly matched his exuberant personality, and it was clear that he was genuinely thrilled to see Morsan.
"Oh~ my friend Morsan, how long it has been since to see you again, did you get taller again?! just how much taller you were- huh *Ouch!*"
As he was about to hug, Morsan dodged Prince Egone by a sidestep.
Prince Eugene tripped and tumbled to the ground. In a split second, he collided with the nearby table, causing him to quickly check his nose for any signs of injury.
"...You are so mean as always, Morsan. Why did you dodge me?..."
"Sorry about that... you're giving me a creepy vibe so I instinctively dodged you. I am also very glad to see you again, Your Highness... And please don't try to hug me like that... it's creepy..."
Morsan said with a flat tone as he apologized.
The only one who raised his eyes in shock at Morsan's rude behavior was the blue-haired man who came with Prince Egone.
Other than him, everyone seems to be casual about their interaction without showing any emotions.
"Haa!, what do you mean by that? I just want to show my appreciation, you cold-hearted bastard!..."
A man with glass gets near Egone and helps him to stand up.
"This is..."
Morsan felt he had seen that man somewhere before but he couldn't remember where. His demeanor seemed to be that of a nobleman and he seemed to respect Prince Egone.
Seeing Morsan's curious gaze, Egone smirked at him.
"Allow me to present myself, I am Van Reichnott, the incumbent leader of the Reichnott lineage and its domain. By my own volition, I have recently aligned myself with Prince Egone's faction."
With a gentle tone of voice, he conversed while maintaining a constant smile. Clad in a dark blue overcoat and brown pants, he completed his ensemble with a lengthy white cape.
He gave off the vibe of someone who was befitting the title of noble which is rare to see in recent years. These few years of peace ruined the mindset of a lot of nobles and brought their true colors to light.
"Reichnott... W-wait! Do you mean that Van Reichnott, the important member of the Queen's faction and working closely with the Queen and lord Seaetto to help Human and Demi-Humans to get along...?"
Morsan kept looking at him and Egone with an inquiring gaze as he sounded shocked. Not every day he would meet the people who came in the actual storyline after all.
Even in the anime's first season, he was introduced as one of the good guys who treated Demi-humans properly and supported the shield hero, Narufumi.
He was more shocked by the fact someone like him chose to change from the queen's faction to Prince Egone's. He wants to know what did Egone to get him on his side. He was after all one of the very important and most loyal members of the Queen's faction.
"Haha, I am truly delighted to learn that the esteemed Mr. Blood Knight holds such a high opinion of me. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to collaborate with you."
He spoke politely still maintaining his professional smile.
Morsan looked at Egone with a questioning gaze.
"Is this for real?... once again you stole another member from Queen's faction. This time it's a high-ranking noble at that..."
It's understandable if he weakens the factions of the church and the king. He couldn't understand why he occasionally made a move against the queen's faction.
"Compared to what lies ahead in the future, it is inconsequential."
Even though Prince Egone tried to bluff it off as he rubbed his nose in pain, he couldn't hide the proud smirk on his face.
"Mm...?"
As Morsan inquired further, he sensed a gentle tug on his attire.
"...Master, Lelin didn't come..."
He saw Lupiney looking at him hesitantly as her ears were dropped after realized Lelin didn't come with them.
She already looked around for Lelin, but couldn't find him.
Van and Egone also noticed Lupiney.
"Master?!... Heh~ so it's true after all... shall we talk inside your room, Morsan? there's a lot of important things we have to speak about."
Morsan acknowledged Prince Egone's agreement with a nod, disregarding his mischievous smirk. Egone observed both him and Lupiney intently as if he planning for something.
Then he shifted his gaze to the leader of the Knights beside them as he signaled something,
"Your Highness, with your permission, I would like to inspect the area around us to ensure our safety just in case."
"Mm..."
Morsan observed that the knight captain also acknowledged with a nod before exiting the room. He then motioned for the others to enter and arranged a seating area for them to converse.
Lupiney, on the other hand, looks at everyone around her with a confused look, she just follows Morsan like a baby duck as Morsan moves.
Once all individuals had taken their seats, Morsan discreetly conveyed to them that there was no one else in the vicinity.
It was only then that a towering figure emerged from the depths of Prince Egone's shadow.
Lupiney's eyes gleamed with astonishment upon witnessing this imposing presence, yet she was the sole individual to display any reaction, while the rest seemed unfazed, as if encountering such a sight was entirely commonplace.
"Lelin... I am completely cured!!"
After hearing Lupiney's excited voice, the massive figure removed his hood, revealing his werewolf visage. Lelin approached Lupiney without acknowledging her joyful tone, wearing a solemn expression. He swiftly examined her well-being to determine if she had been healed or not.
He didn't speak a single word until he completely made sure that she was really cured.
"You really cured her...!"
Lelin said with a relieved sigh.
