Chapter 6 - Blood Rush

The rebels seems to be closing in. Raylyn looked at the large numbers, this mercenary work isn't easy and the rewards isn't guaranteed either since it was rushed. He has to talk to Datu Ibon after this. A young girl that has a red woven clothing with black lines appeared in the battlefield holding a wooden staff with a skull attached from the top. The young girl fired a spell and a bolt of white lightning began to emerge from her staff. "Arava tawo!" Then the rebels was struck by the lightning and got turned into crisp. Raylyn then looked into the young girl's direction. "She must be the people from that Ivatan that they were talking about. It's a good thing that we have her helping us." Then the young girl walked towards him and just stared at him, eyeing his clothing. Then the girl asked "Jinu katdan mu?" (Translation: Where do you live?) Of course Raylyn couldn't understand what she said so he just assumed she was asking where she lives based on her actions by eyeing his clothing. "Hm. I'm from the west." Raylyn answered with how unsure if she could understand it. "Wis?" She said with a questioned tone. But it was interrupted by another rebels coming from the back of the village. Most of the stone houses were destroyed by them. The young girl then looked at Raylyn while she began to run towards the direction of the rebels from the back and said to him "Wis tawo! Mangay ka ja!" ( Translation: Come with me! West person!) Raylyn got the gesture and nodded. The rebels kept on capturing the Ibatan people but the young girl casted a spell. Even though she is a pressumed mage in Raylyn's perspective. She's very nimble and physically fit unlike from the mages from the west. "Arava u mayet an namaes u ryes." (Translation: There is no strong man when the sea is at its worst.) The water came on the floor and drowned all the rebels on the water she casted and then afterwards got blown away until they reached the river, floating on the flow roads until they reached the ocean. Raylyn was amazed of what the young girl could do. "Wow. That's amazing. Her water magic is incredible." Then the young girl sighed. The coast is clear for now. They got rid of the rebels for now, at least on there side. The young girl approached Raylyn and pulled out her hand towards him. "Angu ngaran mu?" (Translation: What's your name?) Then Raylyn grabbed her hand and shook it. "Raylyn." The young girl replied. "Yakan si Araya." (My name is Araya) Then Raylyn nodded and replied with a smile. "It's nice to meet you Araya." Meanwhile, at the side of Humaling and Humabon. "Marami pa rin sila. Nasaan nagtungo si Reileen? Nakita mo ba siya?" (Translation: There still many of them. Where did Reileen gone to? Did you see him?) Said by Humabon by slicing the remaining rebels and killing them one by one with his Kali expertise of Martial Arts using his Keris blade. "Nakita ko siya na may kasamang munting babae. Sa tingin ko nagtungo sila sa likod ng barangay." (Translation: I saw him with a little girl. I think they went to the back of the village.) Humabon replied with a smile. "Kung ganon. Tapusin na natin to, upang matagpuan na natin siya." (Translation: If that's the case. Let's end this, so we can meet him.) Then Humaling unleashed his orange aura and ignite his Sundang with lightning. "Kapangyarihan ni Apolaki! Labas!" (Translation: Power of Apolaki! Unleash!) Then with a split second, a trail of orange lightning began emerging from Humaling's body and his tribal tattoo is glowing with yellow light. The rebels tried fighting him and overwhelming Humaling with numbers. However, with one slash. All of them were beheaded in just a split second as the blood rushes towards every single part of their body. Then Humabon grit his teeth with both fear and admiration towards Humaling. "Nako, nakakatakot ka kapag naging kalaban kita." ( Translation: Oh sheesh, you are pretty frightening if you were my enemy.) Humabon said to Humaling. Then Humaling replied with a sight and walked towards the direction of where Raylyn and Araya would be. "Tara, puntahan natin sila sa likod ng barangay." (Translation: Let's go, we need to go to where they are at the back of the village.) Both of them went towards the back of the village and then Raylyn sat down on the rock, waiting for both Humaling and Humabon. As Araya then went towards his people and treated the wounded with his Ancestral Worship Magic that is used from the Ibatan people. Raylyn sighed, It took so many hours of fighting to actually fight them off. He seems to be wondering how is he alive at this, since most of the time. The numbers were overwhelming and the people from the village tend to bury the bodies after the incident, Araya then went to Raylyn's side. "Ara ca mangu?" (Translation: How are you?) Araya gestured her sentences with her hands on how is he? Then Raylyn replied "I am fine. Thank you for asking." He gestured it back and Araya smiled a little and just sat down beside him. He felt at peace with Araya, even though their talk was short. They were still able to feel comfortable with one another. Then Humabon and Humaling arrived then waved at Raylyn and they saw the girl. "Reileen! Ayus ka lang?" (Translation: Raylyn! Are you okay?) Humabon said with a glee expression. Then Raylyn said to Humabon "Yeah, I am fine." Then Humaling added. "Mabuti naman." (Translation: That's good.) Then Humaling thanked Araya. "Maraming salamat sa tulong mo, munting babae." (Translation: Thank you for your help, young girl.) Araya replied in Taga-ilog since they are speaking it. "Walang anuman po." (Translation: You are welcome.) Then Humaling talked to Humabon and Raylyn. "Humabon at Reileen. Makikipag-usap muna ako sa mga tao ng Ibatan para malaman natin kung anong pakay ng mga tulisan dito. Kailangan natin itong iulat sa mahal na Datu ang mga kaganapan pagkatapos." ( Translation: Humabon and Reileen. I have to talk to the people of Ivatan for now so we could know what are the goals of these rebels.) Raylyn then nodded as he seems to get the idea. Humabon accompanied Raylyn then waited for Humaling, as Araya talked to Humaling about the incident.
