As soon as day dawned, Alanna stayed in bed, not wanting to get up and face Morana. The witch had been having a behavior that Alanna was finding very strange. The two of them had never been besties; however, Morana had never given Alanna a reason to suspect her. But, since Faolán/Aillard had appeared, Morana had seemed annoyed, when Alanna was the one who should have been bothered by it. After all, Morana hadn't been offended by Aillard in any way. At least, not that Alanna knew about.
Morana knocked on Alanna's door shortly after eight in the morning.
"Are you going to stay in there all day?" Morana asked. Alanna rolled her eyes. She'd read some juvenile novels and Morana seemed like one of those annoying mothers who never get off their kids' backs.
"Today is Sunday, Morana! I just want to be quiet a little." Alanna replied, rolling her eyes and covering herself, as if that would make Morana go away.
