"My name is Chloe Rollo, what is your name~nya?"
The waitress introduced herself while still intently looking at the kitten on his shoulder.
Alex noticed her eyes seemed to shimmer with an 'evil' light and felt compelled to answer. "My name? Alex Uchiha?"
"Alex Uchiha~? How old are you Alex~?" Based on her demeanor, she almost seemed to be interrogating him.
As he prepared his answer, another voice cut in from across the bar. "Chloe, you're terrifying the poor boy. Take his order and get back to work, or I'll find someone else to take care of him!"
After the voice sounded, Chloe assumed a more professional stance and bowed slightly towards Alex. "Forgive me~nya. I didn't mean to pressure you, I just couldn't help myself~nya."
Unsure of what had just happened, Alex nodded slightly before giving his order to Chloe. As she passed by to submit the order to the kitchen, she made sure to swipe her tail secretly across his hand.
Feeling the unexpectedly soft touch, Alex looked in her direction and saw her give a wink before turning away.
The woman who had spoken out earlier to admonish Chloe saw his expression and walked over.
"Don't let her get to you kid. She gets that way sometimes when dealing with some of the younger boys. You need to learn to have a little backbone or someone will walk all over you in the future."
Alex nodded his head and looked towards her as she went about serving the customers at the bar. She was Mia Grande, the Proprietress of the 'Hostess of Fertility'. She was around 180cm tall and had filled out in various areas due to her age. She had brown hair and eyes that both seemed to glisten in the taverns' light. Though Alex knew she was pushing into her 50s, she still maintained a youthful vigor.
While waiting for food, he saw the waitresses at this pub were really very pretty just like rumors he had heard. He felt a slight regret why he didn't come here before.
"Enjoying the sight~nya?"
"Mmm." Alex nodded his head in response before jolting his body and turning towards the voice.
Chloe was standing there with his food and had been observing him as he looked around the pub. Though she found it amusing at first, she couldn't help but get annoyed when he hadn't noticed her presence for such a long period of time. Seeing that Mama Mia was busy with other customers, she decided to 'punish' Alex for ignoring her.
Placing his food on the bar, she sat down on the stool immediately to his left which was a slight blind spot unless Mama Mia looked directly over here. She turned towards Alex with a big grin before gesturing at his plate.
"Go ahead~. Eat up~nya."
Feeling the hair on the back of his neck rise, Alex smiled as he picked up the fork and looked at his plate. Though the meal looked unlike any he had previously seen, he couldn't help but feel like he was about to eat his last meal...
He savored every single instance as he slowly chewed the richly textured noodles and perfectly spiced meat sauce.
"Was the food to your liking~nya?"
"The food was so good. I could definitely say that this is one of the best dish I've ever taste in my life."
As Chloe was about to tease him again and ask to hold the cat, Chloe noticed that Mama Mia had been looking in this direction and panicked slightly. Instead of saying anything, Mia just gave a subtle thumbs up and then indicated for her to return to work.
Alex continued to eat after Chloe left and even took the opportunity to order seconds while giving his new partner it's share of food which it happily devoured. After finishing the second plate and paying his tab, he got ready to leave. On his way out Chloe personally sent him out and got him to promise to come back when she was on her shift.
After eating at the Hostess of Fertility, Alex instantly teleported into his room not really caring about the onlookers. For him, this world has the concept of magic so he didn't need to hide this ability.
Browsing in the shop of the system after laying in his bed together with the kitten,
Alex noticed something that he had overlooked earlier. Looking at the notification at the right side of the system, he saw that the first item he could buy is discounted by 90%.
Seeing it, Alex instantly saw it as his chance to access some expensive ones in the shop. If he didn't noticed this, he might have really regretted this as he could buy a low quality as his first item to be bought.
Gulping his saliva as he felt his heart beating with excitement, Alex tried to forcefully calm down his self. Continuously scrolling until at the portion where everything was priced at millions, he saw several skills that was S rank or legendary rated.
As he was about to inspect each and every single one, a skill caught his attention just because of a single word.

"Amazing!"
Alex exclaimed loudly inside his room as he greatly surprised by the effects. The first effect was really appetizing to him. It actually boosts physical and magical growth atleast 5 times.
If he was currently growing at fast rate because of his two skills, just this effect would increase his growth by 500%. He also liked the second option.
Converting his magic attributes into draconic attributes, increased the damage that his magic will deal by 500%. Meaning if he had this skill, his magic damage will increase by 5 times than his normal damage.
The third option was also into his liking, increasing his physical and magic defense by 500%, it increases his survival rate by a large margin. Well he might not really bothered by death but having this effects sounds cool for him.
The last effect was also very amazing, by the increase in his health and magic regeneration, Alex didn't need to bring so many healing and mind potion with him as he could just rely on this effect saving him many valis or points in the future.
However his excitement went down the moment he saw the price. At this moment it was totally out of reach for him but luckily, he hasn't bought anything in the system yet making him having a good discount.
Calculating for a while, Alex found that he could save atleast 18,000,000 million if he will buy this as he would only need to pay 2,000,000 points because of his discount.
As he had made more than two million in his last dungeon dive, Alex could afford it. However, Alex stopped himself for a moment.
"If I will press the buy button, I will be back to being poor again."
Alex felt his heart broke knowing that his money would immediately disappear just like that. Biting his lips, Alex brainwashed himself that it would be all worth it so he should go for it.
Pressing the buy button, Alex could see with his eyes that the valis on his bag that was lying on his room was disappearing. Due to it being fully packed with valis, it wasn't closed so the disappearing valis was clearly seen.
Turning away his teary eyes, Alex tried his best to ignore the disappearance of his money.

As Alex saw the notifications, he suddenly felt something in his body. He could clearly feel his heart was undergoing some transformation. Fortunately, he wasn't feeling any pain but only a great discomfort.
After a while, the discomfort faded as his heart stabilized. He could feel his heartbeat clearly. Even the blood flowing from his heart towards his blood vessels had changed. Alex didn't knew the right word to explain but all he felt was better.
Better than before he bought the skill. Also his body felt more stronger than before. As he was immersing in the new sensation of his heart, a notification appeared.

"Player's Avatar?"
Alex absentmindedly mumbles. He didn't even knew what a player mean. Aside from that he didn't know that, he wasn't able to remember anything related to it even using the memories of the two fragmented souls.
As he still couldn't really describe what a player really means, Alex thought that it was because he had just used a fragment of a soul and not a whole soul which means he couldn't really know the souls' entirety.
"Is this even good?"
He wasn't even familiar with the term HP and MP. After thinking for a while, Alex decided to shook the thoughts off and simply explore it later on or in the future.
