Chapter 32: Snapping

Daisy finally kissed Victor goodbye and unlocked the door, after both she and him got dressed. Daisy went to her room, and only five minutes later Michael came to his room.
Victor was relaxed, he could still hear Daisy’s bouncy heart in his mind. He’d kill for another moment like that one. Michael suspected his brother’s sudden happiness after such an awful day.
“So, we’re ready to discuss our plan?” Michael asked.
Victor recomposed himself.
“Don’t you think we’re going a bit too far with this plan?” Victor asked.
“Please Victor, don’t start…” Michael grunted.
“I don’t know, it’s that…” Victor began explaining.
“Quiet!” Michael yelled, interrupting Victor. “We two have never been so close to getting full control of this city than now, and you are gonna step down because suddenly you started caring about the people?”
“Well, it’s that I, well, eh…” Victor stuttered.
