Like A Married Person

After previously Jaden suddenly asked to be read a storybook before actually falling asleep, now the little boy has fallen asleep perfectly with the boy's two eyes looking perfectly closed.

If Jaden seems calm and peaceful between Jenni and Daniel, then Jenni and Daniel are not.

The two of them looked awkward at times, and don't forget that they both chose not to look at each other.

"Are you asleep Jen?" Daniel asked at last after trying to break the atmosphere.

Oh, come on they don't like the current atmosphere.

Jenni managed to get only two words out to Daniel to answer his question.

Daniel nodded his head and began to venture to look at Jenni who must be beside Jaden.

'I didn't think that in the end, I had a moment like this with Jenni, can a moment like this last long? I don't want to lose Jenni or my son.' Daniel's monologue in his mind while occasionally smiling at Jenni who seemed to be closing her eyes several times but couldn't.

"Looks like Jaden is sleeping, if you can't sleep because I'm here, I'll just sleep outside Jen," Daniel said, sounding wise.

Jenni reflex turned her head to look at Daniel with an uneasy feeling.

Because the one who asked Daniel to be there was his own son.

"That's okay Niel, after all, Jaden asked you here, you know... since he was born and can talk he never once gave me a hard time, or made a special request to me, so the request he made today is the first thing he asks me, and I don't want to disappoint him, Niel."

A smile Daniel gave to Jenni. This time Daniel began to adapt and as much as possible was not awkward with Jenni.

"Okay, then I don't want to disappoint my son's request either, and thanks Jen for taking care of Jaden the way he is now. I'm sorry for letting you down so often in the past."

Jenni's eyes glazed over a little hearing Daniel's words.

Daniel gave a low chuckle to Michael the friend who was always there for him.

"Hey! Why are you laughing? I'm serious Niel, if Axelle has 1001 reasons not to accompany you, then I'll call her directly and —"

Before Michael finished his sentence, Daniel had already cut him off. In a different tone of voice than usual, Daniel only shouted three words.

"I found her!"

Michael, who seemed unable to believe what he was hearing, of course, needed time to digest the sentence that Daniel had just said.

"Wait, you mean you found Jenni?" Michael asked, this time sounding clearer than before.

"Yeah, of course Jenni, anyway do you think there's really someone else I should look for besides Jenni in the last four years of my life?" asked Daniel, this time full of confidence.

"Woah, amazing! You finally found her," said Michael who was happy this time.

Honestly, in Michael's small heart, the young man quite missed the presence of his adopted sister.

"If Jenni and I are finished here, I will bring her back," said Daniel, much more calmly and confidently.

A hum was immediately returned by Michael in agreement.

"Ah, I'll also introduce someone else to you if I really manage to work things out between me and Jenni."

Michael frowned. Honestly, he didn't understand what Daniel had just said.

Who is Daniel going to introduce to him?

That thing immediately bothered him.

Hearing the silence on the other end of the phone, now Daniel spontaneously laughed at Michael. He was well aware of course his friend did not understand the meaning of his words.

"Don't worry, I can assure you that you will like him, or maybe your daughter will like him," Daniel whispered.

"Tsk, you're very suspicious, Niel," said Michael, who couldn't understand Daniel's attitude.

Again, a crisp laugh escaped from Daniel's lips.

It seems that Jenni's presence in Daniel's life really changed him in an instant.

"Ah yes, I have to thank your brother, and also your brother's best friend for taking good care of my Jenni."

Michael was silent for a moment, he digested his sentence well.

"Yup, at first I was surprised, and wanted to corner your brother, it's just that after hearing everything from Jenni, then I can't blame them. It all started with my fault bro," Daniel said sincerely.

If it's like this then Michael can only follow what Daniel said. He cared more about his friend's happiness.

"Then finish your problem with her as soon as possible, so that I can meet my little sister again."

Daniel was busy agreeing to the advice of his best friend.

Not long after that, the phone was cut off, and Daniel of course stepped back into the main bedroom in the apartment where Jenni and Jaden were there.

Axelle gave Edward a nod of his head. For some reason, he felt his ears slightly reddened and felt hot.

"Why are your ears so red?"

Axelle reflexively looked for the mirror closest to him to confirm Edward's words.

"Looks like someone is busy talking behind my back," said Axelle, looking furious.

Edward doesn't really believe in things like that, it's just that because he doesn't want a small drama between himself and Axelle, for that the young man chooses to agree with everything Edward has said, even though he thinks there are some theories that don't mean anything at all.
