Call From Michael

After spending a long time talking with Edward, Axelle, who was now walking towards his room, suddenly stopped when he heard the ringing of his phone.

"Michael? Why did he call me?" Monologue Axelle is confused to get a call from Michael.

Just as Axelle picked up the phone from Michael, he unexpectedly got a shout from the other end of the phone.

'Good grief!' Surprised Axelle was held back, who did not expect that he would get a scream from Michael's voice on the other end of the phone.

"Bro?" Axelle mumbled quietly, not understanding throughout Michael's conversation, which seemed to corner him with a high-pitched tone that deafened his ears.

Michael, who was previously too emotional, started to lower his tone of voice.

"What happened? Why are you scolding me? Do I have a big mistake on you?" Axelle asked innocently, not realizing what was going on.

Oh come on, how can Axelle knows if Daniel has contacted Michael or vice versa?. If he knew maybe he would be much more prepared to hear Michael's anger right?

"Of course, you made a big mistake Axelle," Michael whispered, emphasizing each word.

Axelle frowned in confusion. He didn't understand what was happening.

When did he make a mistake?

That's what immediately crossed Axelle's head at this time.

He tried his best to deny everything.

"Why didn't you ever tell me about Jenni's whereabouts? Almost four years Axelle!"

'Damn! How did Michael know that? Is it possible-'

This time Axelle couldn't say anything. He admitted that this time he had indeed wronged Michael, moreover he knew very well that Michael and Jenni were like brothers and sisters, and they were separated for about four years so that Jenni became a strong person.

"Better ask Daniel, because I'm sure he knows more about Jenni."

Michael was speechless. Honestly, of course, he misses Jenni, it's just that now he has a family so it's impossible if he unexpectedly flies to where Jenni currently lives unless his little family allows him.

"Thank you for being by her side, not leaving her alone," Michael said to Axelle at last.

Axelle blinked her eyes in confusion. He didn't expect Michael to say something like that.

'Did I hear right? Didn't he scold me earlier?' Axelle whispered in a mind that felt a little strange with his brother.

"Axelle, are you still listening to me?" Asked Michael this time who did not get a response from his brother.

Shortly after, Axelle, who felt Michael's words earlier was an oddity, of course, he again asked Michael about the words he had just said to him.

A low chuckle Michael gave to Axelle.

"You're right, I'm really angry with you because you covered up Jenni's whereabouts for almost 4 years, even my people didn't find her, but besides that, I also thank you because you accompanied her when she was alone. I can't imagine if Jenni wasn't accompanied by you, maybe she'd be even more devastated, right?"

Axelle, who began to understand Michael's sentence, was now busy nodding his head.

"No need to thank you, after all, she is my best friend and also my sister, right?" Axelle softly replied to Michael's words.

Axelle could hear a long sigh from the other side of the phone.

"Who are you calling dear?"

"Ah… I'm on a—"

Before Michael had finished answering his wife's question, Axelle, who realized that Kylie was now approaching Michael, immediately greeted his sister-in-law.

"Sis Kylie!! How are you? You don't want to play to my vacation place right now? I'm in France," said Axelle unexpectedly, making both Kylie and Michael shocked instantly.

"Oh, Axelle?"

After that, Axelle is now busy talking to Kylie. After all, the relationship between Kylie and Axelle can be said to be like brother and sister, there is no gap as a brother-in-law that limits Axelle from talking to the girl.

'Good grief! It's like I gave my cellphone to Kylie the wrong way, I'd better go to my room to meet my beautiful daughter.'

Calmly ignoring his wife who had been busy talking to his brother, he instead headed to his room where his two-year-old little daughter Lily was closing her eyes quietly on the wide bed.

Michael liked it best when his little daughter was asleep, so with one small movement, which was none other than sleeping next to his little daughter, then automatically Lily, who seemed to have a special nose knowing her father's scent, immediately squirmed softly, and hugged her father into his arms with her little hands.

"I've always liked this about you, my little girl," Michael said in a low voice, certainly not intending to wake the child.

Not long after, Michael who was busy hugging his daughter carefully fell asleep next to her.

Kylie, who realized that her husband was not near her, finally looked for her husband's whereabouts.

A smile Kylie gave when she looked at her husband and little daughter who seemed inseparable.

"Where's Michael?"

"He's already asleep hugging Lily, looks like it's a good time for us to go on vacation, didn't you say Lily's friends would be there too right?"

"Of course, but you don't have to tell him if Jaden is here, because it seems like Michael doesn't know anything, he only knows that Jenni is here."

"Well, it's nice to talk to you after a long time, tsk… why didn't you come home since Lily's birth, didn't you miss this beautiful niece of yours?"

A chuckle came from the other end of the phone.

"Blame Daddy who told me to hold the company there without my knowledge."
