Caro Resumes Work

Caro resumed with a forceful vibe that got her colleagues talking...She's not liked by quite a number of them.

As he picked up his phone to make a call, he noticed that he had missed 'The boss' call three times and a text message from 'The boss' which read: 'Not picking, I hope you're not found wanting, acknowledge when you read this'.

While he was about to make a call, he saw Marksman in front of him, frightened and shocked, he said 'How did you get in'. He said, I passed through the side window, it wasn't properly closed. { Silencer thought he was referring to the window which is in the room where he sleeps, not knowing that he was referring to the window at the exit point next to an empty cubicle.}

Marksman seeing how confused Silencer was asked him 'Wetin happen' I don maintain, talk, I dey listen'

Silencer: My man, I don commit, 'The boss' fit kill me, na control I lose my man. I took out one of the girls.

Marksman: You wetin?, my man, calm down, you resell am to another client or what?

Silencer: I dey horn, I kon catch one, she too naive, she no strong, na so she pack, just like that. My man, I regret wetin I do.

Marksman: Where she dey now?

Silencer: I don arrange with person to pack her and....

Immediately,, 'The boss' calls Marksman...

The Boss: Situation report.!

Marksman: On point boss.

The Boss: hostages!

Marksman: All on point boss.

The Boss: Silencer!

Marksman: On point boss.

The Boss: Highlight next upcoming meeting, Timlead will be on site.

Marksman: Yes Boss.

Phone cuts...

They both breathe heavily...

Insp. Michael was just doing his normal routine work and was greeting everyone as well as responding to people who were greeting him in return. In his playful nature, he saw Insp. caro and extended his hands for an handshake as his way of initiating a friendly converse between them, having noticed he was ignored, he didn't get offended with it as he presume she might be shy. In a playful manner, he further stretched his hands in her system's screen just to create a distraction, and she aggressively told him 'have you gone nuts, even if you're blind, it's not too severe as to not know that I'm busy.'

Michael was shocked and was speechless for some minutes, other colleagues who witnessed this were randomly whispering to one another with sayings such as:

She's so rude,

°I learnt she's a guru in what she does reason she's so full of pride,

°She has once talked to me anyhow and I dashed it back at her,

°I learnt that her few weeks here, she got a good recommendation from Gen Tim,

°Did you notice the clash between her and Philo,

°I overheard Melvina telling samadina that she hates Caro and that she will surely treat her fuck up,

°I don't know where I heard it from, they were saying she's bossy and a bully and she's selective with guys she speaks with and loves to body-shame people,

°As at Wednesday last week, Jemima was in a hurry and was walking fast, so in the cause of running, she mistakenly hit caro, and caro just said ' hey you, can't you see you ought to give dignity to your profession by not being in a hurry and she hissed passed her, Jemima just smiled at her and said aloud ' I hope to not see you in my corner and pray not to'...

°Jemima is too quiet for my liking, that's an avenue to give her some kicks, let's see who did more drillings during induction time,

As they were talking, Insp. Michael came beside her, and with his baritone voice he said 'I'm sorry Caro, I just wanted to be friendly that's all.' Caro replied saying ''If that's so, then do it in a mature way and not this childish act, again no offence, if you don't mind I have work to do, and don't forget to bring your report to me for final crosscheck to enable me document the final invoice for the ammunitions which need to be supplied', he said 'It's well noted Caro'.

Everyone was shocked at Michael's reaction to her, it was unexpected, they expected an aggressive reaction, like what he did to Insp. Philo, it then dawned on them that of a truth, 'Insp. Michael is unpredictable.

Philo witnessed his reaction and said nothing, all she did was smile and walked to her station to continue her duty.

Insp. Michael went to the second floor to have a chat with Melvina and the discourse were as follows:

Insp. Michael: Insp. Melvina, always with her glasses, can I come in?

Insp. Melvina: Yep you can. Boss what's up, what brought you here.

Insp. Michael: Your class mate Caro (Melvina interrupted)

Insp. Melvina: She's not, we just happen to attend the same training academy, I don't know her much, but I've heard a bit about her back then.

Insp. Michael: I would have lost it with her today, but I don't want to repeat my ordeal with Plilo to avoid being taken to 'Article 15 site" , so I maintained my cool.

Can you give me any details about her, I need to watch her closely, amidst her activeness and bravery, I sense she has an hidden agenda, I have no proof, but my intuitions don't lie to me.

Insp. Melvina: Its same here, my IQ is so sharp that it depicts even things an average person won't denote... This should be between us, is that a deal---- Insp. Michael nodded in affirmation which was supported with an handshake,

As Melvina was about to start talking, she received a phone call from her mum and she asked that she be excused, while she stood up to another corner to receive her mum's call, Insp. Michael bowed his head on her desk and had a brief flashback to his second meeting with the rep of his 'unseen friend'... Their discussion were as follows:

Insp. Michael: My dad told me of 'A BOOK, A SECRET AND A BEING CALLED A.A' Do you understand what these puzzle means. That reminds me, I don't even know your name. Just call me 'Rep' he said.

Rep: Listen carefully, A BOOK is around you already. It will lead you to the real book which will unfold things for you.

A SECRET will unfold When you dutifully do all I've asked of you to do.
