Chapter 39

Solus looked so appalled at his revelation that the laughter bubbled up again, such a strange sensation. It spilled forth and increased the more indignant he appeared.

And he was right, she did enjoy it. Enjoyed feeling something other dread and drudgery.

"I'm glad you find my pastimes so entertaining," he said with a scowl.

"I don't." She laughed again. "Sorry. I'm not sure why I find it so amusing, especially since I only understand one of your two hobbies. I know cooking is to prepare food, but I am not sure what gardening entails. My definition is to care for growing vegetation, however, I've never seen any, so I am not sure what that means."

"Then what's so funny?"

"The expression on your face when you said it. I do not think you meant to tell me."

"I didn't." He sounded annoyed with himself.

"Did your processor malfunction?" She had to wonder if hers did given her inability to control her mirth.
