Staring at the Human meat on his plate, Corven is hesitant to eat it.

Though he may be a Half-Ghoul now and can technically eat both human foods and human themselves, he needs to try to get used to eating humans and ghouls for power, waiting for his RC count to rise on its own will take too long.

"Aren't you gonna eat Corven?, you were out for some time, you need to keep up your strength." Says ryouko as she hands Corven a cup of coffee.

"It isn't that great, but I try my best."She says as she sits down in a chair.

'Its bitter and taste a bit overdone, needs some sugar and cream, which I doubt they have, but not bad' thinks Corven as he drinks some of the coffee.

"Its pretty good."

After finishing the coffee, Corven looks at the plate of human meat right infront of him.

'Come on Corven you survived a year in a world with dangerous creature combinations, you can eat some meat.'

Steeling himself and doing what he can to push away his old ways of a human, he brings some of the meat to his mouth using his fork.

'Omg~..it tastes like grandmas homemade chili.'

Not expecting it to be so good, and having only eaten barely seasoned food for a year, he scarfs the meat down quicker than he thought.

"*Chuckles*Well now that you're finished i think its time we started talking."says Ryouko as she takes a sip of her coffee.

"Hinami why don't you go in the living room and read?" asks ryouko

"Okay momma.." says Hinami sadly, as she wanted to stay.

Watching her leave the room, Corven hears her footsteps stop just outside the room.

"Now I wanted to ask, what happened to you?, where you attacked?"asks Ryouko, heavily interested.

"..Well thats quite difficult to explain*chuckles*" Says Corven as he thinks about the chain of events that led him here.

"I wasn't attacked, you could say that I was just.. alone and surviving for quite some time, and.. my body gave out on its self when I got here." he answers.

"I see.. I'm sorry you've been alone for awhile." says Ryouko with a sad tone.

"Have you always lived in japan?,your accent sounds a little foreign. Not to mention the odd clothes we found you in."

"No actually, my mother did for most of her life before she moved to America with my grandparents, thats where she met my father, though thats all I really know about them. They abandoned me when I was young so my grandparents on my mothers side took care and raised me. Eventually they died, and sometime after..well a fight, I left and survived on my own for awhile, before deciding to come here, and the clothes were just what I made out of wolf pelts." Answers Corven

"Oh i see.. I'm so sorry.. I'm sure your grandparents would be proud of you." says Ryouko as she smiles sadly.

"Its alright, my grandparents were kind people, I learned everything I know from them. I even have these glass- Um wait where are my glasses?, says Corven worriedly.

"Oh they're just with your clothes, folded up next to the couch, don't worry they're okay." says Ryouko reassuringly.

"Oh thank God *chuckles* I thought I lost them.. those were my grandfathers and its the only thing I really have to remember them by.."

"Well I assure you they're safe, now finally, what do you plan to do next?," asks ryouko with a kind smile.

"I have ideas, but really I don't know at the moment, do you have any ideas?"

"Well if you'd like, I may have a job for you. I have some friends at a place called Anteiku, they're a coffee shop on the outside, but they help ghouls who need help, it's like the safe haven for ghouls here in the 20th ward, they should help you get on your feet."

'That was quick.. I didn't think I'd get a chance to go to Anteiku so soon.' thinks Corven.

"Well if its no trouble thatd be nice, and um..if its not too too much trouble.. could I use your shower..?" says Corven shyly.

"*chuckles* go right ahead, my husband should be back any minute now with your clothes, ill go get you a towel while you finish your coffee." says Ryouko as she leaves to get a towel.

When she leaves the room, Corven finishes his coffee quickly, then speaks out loud.

"You can come out you know Hinami, I won't tell your mom you were eavesdropping."

Slowly coming into the room, hinami stairs at him shyly.

"Im sorry.. I was just curious, momma and daddy say the people like me are rare so I wanted to know more about you..."

Staring at the young girl, Corven smiles gently.

"I understand hinami, but its still not nice to eavesdrop on someone... unless its to get info you want*winks*."

"Now though it may not be your place, I think you should listen to your mom and go read, I get the feeling well have plenty of time to get to know eachother."

"Okay Corven" says hinami as she smiles brightly, before rushing out of the room, until she's interrupted by Corven.

"Um before you go, Have you ever played chess hinami?"

"A couple times with daddy, why do you ask?"

"well I find it's a great way to get to know a person, so if you'd like we can have a couple games after my shower, and each piece taken will be a question from the other to answer, sounds like a deal?" says Corven as he raises his hand up to Hinami

"Its a deal." she says as she shakes his hand with a confident expression.
