Heavenly Technology Cultivation Scripture

[Ding!]

[Hidden Quest Completed: Trash to Treasure!]

[Buy or acquire 5 different cultivation methods within 24 hours.]

[Reward: A random rare grade cultivation manual]

The five Data-Jade that Kyle and Kali had managed to buy disappeared and a new Data-Jade took their place. Kyle read the title and felt slightly out of his depth.

"Heavenly Technology Cultivation Scripture?" Kyle repeated out loud.

After reading through the summary of the scripture, Kyle got a basic idea of what this scripture was about. Everything about it was multiple orders of magnitude better than what he had bought previously. This was supposedly only a rare grade from the system!

The System right now only allowed him to acquire and identify Common, Rare, Epic and Planet tier items or knowledge. Anything more than that he needed a higher system level to see.

Even just this Rare scripture seemed extremely beneficial to Kyle! It allowed him to cultivate and enter a state of epiphany of design. The scripture would allow him to cultivate and create technology at the same time, making his time far more efficient and giving him far better gains than simply absorbing galactic energy! This was because the quality and speed of his cultivation completely depended on the gains he made from his studies! For example creating a high tier weapon that was well produced was more effective than simply repairing a piece of scrap!

This was a pretty sure fire way to reach his main quest's goal as long as he diligently kept learning and creating new things! That was likely the System's intention the entire time, even though it claimed to be a random chance.

"Master?" Kali asked hesitantly, both in confusion and shock at the new Data-Jade he possessed. Although she seemed to be getting used to his surprises as the reaction was rather subdued compared to previous times.

"It's a new cultivation technique, both of us can learn it! It is good until the Fifth Major Realm!"

Kali gasped slightly before replying.

"That is far better than anything here! The Fifth major realm is the halfway point of the entire planet! The Tenth major realm bigshots control the entire world after all!

Kali then had a nervous demeanour as she asked her next question.

"Are you sure I can use it as well master?" Kali asked.

"Of course! I have to take care of my followers after all!" Kyle replied.

Kali nodded sagely at that and fell behind Kyle again, walking behind him and looking out for threats while they walked.

Their journey this time was rudely interrupted by a snide gravely male voice.

"Well well well! What do we have here lads? A little girl and a rich child carrying some very fine looking goods!" The voice laughed.

Kali and Kyle turned their heads to look at the owner of said voice. A group of five people in tattered clothes lead by a man in slightly better gear.

"You will walk away." Kali said, calmly but with ice oozing out of her tone.

The man laughed slightly at that, an unnatural thing that seemed to highlight the throat injuries the man had acquired over his life.

"I don't think I will, girl! What's life down in these parts without a little bit of risk!" The last word was yelled out, the man and his four men immediately rushing at the pair.

The men raised metal swords that edges seem to be powered. It was likely extremely dangerous either way so Kyle and Kali immediately made threat assessments.

Kali engaged the leader, her body glowing with violet energy as she engaged three people in combat at the same time, matching them equally much to their shock. The remaining two focused on Kyle who already had First, his trust pulse pistol, ready.

Kyle sent multiple pulse blasts at the closest person, managing to score three hits and wounding him, taking him out of the fight for a while. The other man was already on top of Kyle, and it took all his energy to simply keep avoiding the attacks. This was someone with much more combat experience than him!

He kept dodging for a few moments until he found an opening, he flicked his sleeve and summoned his stun knife, jabbing it right into the man's thigh as he rolled one of his overextended but overpowered swings.

The other man instantly fell down on the ground limp like a trash bag.

Kyle took a moment to make sure Kali was okay before moving to his next target, the still recovering man he had shot earlier. Aiming his pistol at the man's head at a safe distance he made his final words to the man.

"You should not have messed with me." Kyle said simply, before blasting him with his pulse pistol.

Nodding to himself at a job well done, Kyle looked for an opportunity to help Kali. He observed her fight with the other three and it seemed she was winning, the others had gained numerous small injuries and had not gotten a single hit on her.

He could let her fight for training but there was already a small crowd of people watching from the shadows, interested in the situation.

Kyle fed a new energy pack into his pulse pistol before firing at the goons. Kali took advantage of the distraction to finish one of them, instantly making the fight be over.

It did not take long for the second man to be dealt with, and then the leader himself was panting on the ground with Kali ready to execute him.

Kyle was not inclined to show this man any mercy, he had attacked them for no reason and did nothing for him. He nodded to Kali who finished the man off.

"Take their supplies and we shall leave them here to rot." Kyle ordered, slightly tired from the unexpected fight.

Kali took all their belongings and passed them to Kyle. It added up to around only 50 credits and some random junk. These were truly bottom feeder scum, probably put in the prison area recently if their lack of equipment and experience was any indication.

They left the scene after they finished, leaving the small pile of bodies behind. One of them was still breathing but stunned and the others dead. Kyle did not leave the last man alive out of pity however, as they were leaving the vultures descended upon the bodies, taking away their remaining clothing and finishing the man off, before dragging their bodies away for some unknown purpose. Kyle was not inclined to speculate on the thought process of the desperate.

"How do you feel?" Kyle asked his loyal follower.

"I feel fine Master! I can fight much better than before! Although only three of them in the group are of the Second Major Realm I felt like I could completely surpass them! It's almost like I am in the Third Major Realm myself!" She laughed, a bit of bloodthirsty and prideful energy emanating from the young woman.

"You did well." He complimented her.

"Thank you master!" She responded, validating that she was doing her part.

They managed to reach the makeshift hotel again and re-booked for another week. No trouble had come for them while staying here and according to Kali that was unlikely to change. The place wasn't special but was considered a neutral ground for whatever reason.

The two of them went to Kyle's room to study the Heavenly Technology Cultivation Scripture, Kyle allowed Kali to be the first one to read and attempt it so she could return to her room, they were small rooms after all with no better options available.

It took her thirty minutes of reading before she was able to make a conclusion.

"This is very compatible with me Master! I will have to refresh my mind on my limited studies but even with all that time deducted from my cultivation I would still be massively benefiting! This is three times quicker than my previous scripture from the clan!" She gushed, probably only seeing something of this value and rich knowledge for the first time in her life.

She had never left the Prison Area in her life. According to her, Kyle thought it was a terrible life to live and was more than happy to get her out when left to go to the Academy. He needed to get a hold of the Grand Academy rules before he could find a way to get them both enrolled on courses, he did not want to just leave it up to the System. He could also problem solve on his own!

Granted, it was unlikely for the System to give him a follower and then not provide any way for her to actually follow him around, but it was best to be cautious.

Speaking of the System, Kyle needed to unlock the Follower System Feature as soon as possible so he could view all of Kali's information! It looks like they would have to study and cultivate together until the duels to the death.

Kyle had every confidence in himself and Kali to succeed!
