Chapter 50 - The Female Wolf

On the third floor, in the bathroom, Li Nianlong stood naked under the showerhead, letting the hot water wash away the dirt from his body while his mind delved into deep thoughts. Why had Shao Meiyun come to see him?

Had his identity as Kung Fu Panda been exposed? That seemed unlikely. If it had, Shao Meiyun wouldn't have come in person; she could simply have dispatched a SWAT team to apprehend him.

Yet, beyond this, he truly couldn't fathom any other reason for Shao Meiyun to visit him personally. The Liu Family was currently beset with troubles and facing unprecedented crises. Shao Meiyun should be focusing all her energy on maintaining the Liu Family's authority in Tianfu. Yet, she had visited him, a mere commoner, which was highly unusual.

"Huff…" Baffled, Li Nianlong shook his head, quickly rinsed himself, and then stepped out wrapped in a towel.

"Ah!" In the bedroom, the Yue sisters and Nalan Ruyue were chatting on the bed when they saw Li Nianlong emerge wearing only a towel around his waist. Their cheeks flushed red; Yue Xi covered her face with both hands, though her fingers spread wide, allowing her eyes to greedily scan Li Nianlong's body. "Big brother, why aren't you wearing clothes! It's embarrassing."

"..." Li Nianlong walked over and tapped her head. "If it's embarrassing, why are you still looking?"

"Hehe... hehe..." Yue Xi dropped her hands, her gaze burning as she ogled Li Nianlong's physique, every muscle perfectly proportioned and captivating. She couldn't resist touching his pectorals, her eyes glowing. "Wow! What great chest muscles... Wow! What great abs... Wow! What great thigh muscles... Wow! What a great... stick muscle..."

What was a stick muscle?

Li Nianlong's face darkened as he swatted away Yue Xi's hand, which was dangerously close to his groin. He walked to the wardrobe, picked out a set of shorts and a shirt, turned to the three girls, and said, "I'm going to change. Shouldn't the three beauties..."

"Just change!" Yue Xi's face was crimson, and she giggled. "You're a grown man, aren't you afraid of being seen by women?"

Li Nianlong snickered. "I'm not afraid, but I worry you'll get sore eyes."

"Pfft! Forget it, we'll go out so we don't get sore eyes." Yue Xi pretended to be indifferent, but once she dragged Yue Chang and Nalan Ruyue outside, her face was flushed, and she covered it with her hands. "Oh! Yue Chang mumbled in her sleep, "So hot... so hard... zzz..."

Nalan Ruyue blushed, touched her own cheek, and found it warm.

In less than a minute, Li Nianlong called out, "Alright, come in!"

The three girls entered, and Yue Chang threw herself onto the bed, ready to drift off to sleep. Yue Xi was also struggling to stay awake, leaning on Li Nianlong's arm. Only Nalan Ruyue remained as composed as ever, standing in front of Li Nianlong and signing, Brother, how long are we going to ignore her?

"Let's wait a bit longer," Li Nianlong said indifferently. "If she can't control her subordinates, she deserves a lesson."

"Exactly, exactly." Yue Xi nodded repeatedly. "Making big brother vomit last night's dinner, she's really despicable."

"Forget about last night's dinner," Li Nianlong knocked on Yue Xi's head, somewhat helplessly. "What did Shao Meiyun say to you earlier?"

"How else could she temporarily hold the position of Liu Family's head?" Li Nianlong smiled faintly, pulled Yue Xi to sit by the bed, and looked at Yue Chang with a mix of gratitude and guilt in his eyes.

He gently draped a blanket over Yue Chang, who perhaps sensed it and smiled slightly in her sleep, her slumber appearing more peaceful.

"What are you doing, Xi Xi?" Seeing Yue Xi lie down on the other side of the bed, staring at him pitifully, a large bead of sweat trickled down Li Nianlong's forehead.

"Big brother, I want to sleep too, and I want a blanket."

Looking at Yue Xi's slightly pale face, Li Nianlong smiled helplessly. "You really don't like to lose out."

He fetched another blanket for Yue Xi, and seeing her contented expression, he ruffled her hair and teased, "Are you satisfied now?"

"Wow!" Yue Xi suddenly opened her eyes, her face alight with excitement. "Big brother, you're actually quite lewd! You even mentioned a disciplinary rod. Quickly, let me see what your disciplinary rod looks like!"

"What nonsense." Li Nianlong's face darkened as he took out a baseball bat from beside the bed, swinging it through the air, creating swooshing sounds. "You're so eager to see it, do you want to taste the disciplinary rod?"

"Eh..." Yue Xi blushed. "So that's what a disciplinary rod is! Sorry, I was the lewd one." She then pulled the blanket over her head, too ashamed to show her face.

Li Nianlong shook his head, put the baseball bat back by the bed, and turned to Nalan Ruyue. "Ruyue, I'm hungry. Could you bring me something to eat from downstairs?"

Something to eat?

Nalan Ruyue froze for a moment, then signed, Eat now?

"Right now," Li Nianlong smiled slightly. "I need a full stomach to have a proper conversation."

Nalan Ruyue hesitated but ultimately didn't move. Her eyes pleaded sincerely as she signed, Brother, she is the acting head of the Liu Family after all. Although she was in the wrong just now, she apologized sincerely. A small punishment is enough; going too far would make us the ones in the wrong. So... I think it's better to talk first before eating. At least... we can talk while eating.

Li Nianlong was taken aback by Nalan Ruyue's words. Since Nalan Ruyue came to live with them, this was the first time she had expressed a differing opinion. In the past, she never opposed any of his decisions. Li Nianlong was somewhat astonished now.

Nalan Ruyue visibly relaxed. She had been quite anxious earlier, fearing her dissenting opinion would upset Li Nianlong, but now that he had agreed to compromise, she felt both happy and moved.

"Chang Chang, Xi Xi, are you coming downstairs?" Li Nianlong got up and asked quietly.

"Of course, why wouldn't we?" Yue Xi immediately opened her eyes, climbed out of bed energetically, and declared, "I want to see what this woman has to say to big brother." She then raised her fist, about the size of a small sandbag, and added, "Don't worry, big brother, I'll protect you."

Li Nianlong smiled gently, ruffling her hair. "Thank you, my little heroine."

"Hehe, love hearing that." Yue Xi closed her eyes contentedly, half-leaning against Li Nianlong. "Big brother, I'm feeling so weak. Can you carry me downstairs?"

Under normal circumstances, Li Nianlong would have refused, but today, Yue Xi had sacrificed two months of her superpower development for him. How could he refuse such a small request?

"Sure, I'll carry you down." With a soft smile, he turned around to face away from her. "Climb on!"

Yue Xi giggled happily and climbed onto Li Nianlong's back. Her firm breasts pressed against his back, her arms looped around his neck, and her legs around his waist. She greedily inhaled the scent near his neck. "Big brother, you smell so nice."

"In a harmonious society, hooliganism is strictly prohibited."

"I'm not a hooligan!" Yue Xi pouted, insisting earnestly, "I'm a female wolf."

"..." Li Nianlong chose not to engage with that statement, knowing it could lead to an endless debate.

Turning to look at Yue Chang, who was still lying motionless on the bed, he asked curiously, "Chang Chang, are you asleep?"
