"Did you hear your majesty was attacked last night when princess Amber tried to complete the ritual." the maids whispered to each other as they hurried for their work.
Last night, they heard a lot of noises and many on duty maids had seen the assassins being dragged at the main gates. And in the morning, the entrance door was decorated by their heads.
"Everyone knows that." a maid smirked as she looked around, "but I have better news." she whispered slowly so that only other maids could hear.
Though the news was going to spread far and wide, she did not want to attach her name with it if things didn't go well.
"One of them confessed and accepted that he was the lord of the Sonarise empire. That man is in prison and waiting for the trial. I am sure this time, the lord would not be able to save himself." she smirked when their faces filled with horror and shock.
They were stupefied, making the woman laugh.
