Niliah

As usual Niliah found it hard to take her eyes off of Wind.

Pink suited him.

It was a new look. Well, he may have had it happen before she had known him but this was the first time she had seen it.

Even though she had known him for so many years every now and then she would still get to see a new side to him. And it was always rather entertaining trying to figure out what the different colors meant. Because he never actually explained them, which left her to figure it out on her own.

Well. That is left everyone to figure it out.

The pink seemed easy. She had never seen him act this way before. Shy? She had seen him act a lot of different ways over the years but shy was definitely new.

It was actually a little adorable. Not a word usually used for one of his kind.

But Wind in no ways fit entirely in with his own kind. She had never heard of another one quite like him.

Niliah tore her eyes away from the companion she most trusted and looked at the other two.

She still felt a little wary of them but Wind trusted them. And that was good enough for her.

Since when had she trusted him this much? His sense of character assessment? Had stopped trying to get him to leave her alone? Well, whatever. She did trust him. Perhaps it was because she understood that his race was one of the few races in Nix'Ryl that had not really changed since the old kingdom had fallen.

Most of them still kept out of other races' affairs, with a few noteworthy exceptions.

But their two companions were from one of the kingdoms. She found them a little intriguing, as her natural curiosity was piqued.

She had come to a few conclusions on the two.

Amrune was protective of her companion, who seemed to be the leader of the two. The beautiful red haired girl was a sorcerer, she was not sure what specialization. Though the two acted much like equals there was just a hint of deference towards the male. Jaekel seemed to be an oracle from some things she had heard hinted at. Which she found interesting.

Oracles were rare. They were said to be the best diviners in the world, not really having to do much to get answers to questions that would stump the wisest man.

The reason why they were rare was because the sight was a straight up gift from the divine. She had no real idea how one became an oracle.

She wondered if Wind knew. She would not be surprised. With all his knowledge of those old tales he just might have an inkling.

Her eyes again turned to Wind in thoughtful regard.

She hated to admit it but as much as she had come to trust him, she still knew little about him. Oh, she knew his race. He had been surprisingly forthcoming with that. And she had an understanding of his affliction, though he had never explained why he was slowly slipping into madness. She also had managed to infer that his everchanging hair and eye color was tied into it. She even knew what subspecies he was, even though that was something not many people did. And that he still had a living sister, as he occasionally mentioned her.

But overall she had no real clue his motives. Why he had started following her in the first place. What his goals were. Really anything that went on in his head. O, she knew his ideocracies. It was hard not to after knowing him so long, but his goals in life alluded her. She wondered if he really actually trusted her or was just good at pretending.

The thought that he didn't trust her as much as she trusted him was a saddening one. It was so hard to know for sure with how little he talked of his past, or of what his plans for the future was. She really had no clue where she figured into his life at all.

Did he trust anyone really? Because with how long she had known him, surely he should have come to trust her a little. She had trusted him to know her past. Of course she had not really discussed her plans for the future with him, but that was because she did not actually have any.

She shook her head to rid herself of the thoughts and looked at the human girl. She was a but jealous really. Those two shared such a deep connection and trust it was easy to be a little jealous. She wished that Wind and herself could be that close. Able to always trust one another to have each other's' backs.

Sylv's Corner:

"Pink is a pretty color. I personally have a strong liking of the color silver, or pure white like snow. Or green as the grass and leaves, or blue like the sky. Oh. Now I'm just rambling. I actually like every color I guess. They all have something special to them."
